Seen some awesome pits in my day. I remember a Pantera gig where there was exposed pipes and plumbing hanging from the ceiling. Everyone would “monkey bar” across the ceiling and drop into the pit. Brutal stuff. I am 53 now and no longer pit-worthy. Now my old ass just sits in the stands and tries to at least headbang 😂

Andy Wallace is an incredible sound engineer...Reign/South/Seasons are probably the most sonically perfect thrash albums released during the genre's '80s/early '90s heyday. It's really sad that these bands sounded BETTER 20-30 years ago with LESS advanced technology. What the fuck happened? Albums like Death Magnetic and World Painted Blood, while solid musically, sound thin and compressed, and the drums sound like cardboard boxes.
