Thanks. I just saw the new Lars Andersen video. While his skills are impressive, I find it boring to watch just someone showing off and I don't like it when they are disingenuous about what they are doing. I appreciate the tutorial on this trick. I'd love to know not only how you perform it but also the physics of why it works. Any insight? Thanks.
The moment he releases the arrow, it gets a forward momentum and an angular momentum. As the arrow flies and rotates further, the airspeed the pushes on its tail changes the direction of flight of the arrow.
Batman I'm not sure if this is the same thing you were tryjng to say, but here's what I was thinking: The arrow gets flung off to the side and rotated by the rotated string. It then gets pulled back into a straighter trajectory by the fletchings and broadhead. The momentum is largely forward, but with enough side momentum to clear the obstacle and enough pull against the air to turn it back to the target. Also, the right handed grip rotating the string combined with the left handed arrow rest will tend to make it bounce off rather than clear the handle due to the oscillations of the archer's paradox.
Lars isn't disingenious. He just does not teach through his videos at all. I dont know if he wants to sell training videos or what. He's instead a gateway to folks like Armin who do explain it
This. Lars is an entertainer and a performer, through and through. However, he got me interested in archery, and through him, I found Armin's videos. Love watching both of them.
Armin great and very interesting... now I will try, without forget how to shoot normally ;) anyway is it possible that this method will be more effective if the arrows have the feathers mounted near the middle of arrows?
Can I please clarify which bow you're using? Kounov B mentioned a PSE 25# at 30", but I couldn't find anything like the one demonstrated on the PSE web store.
Thanks. I recently bought a Chinese horse-bow I like, but I feel I would struggle to apply this technique with it (it's rated to 50#, though I'm not sure at what draw length). Doesn't mean I won't try though! :)
Bows I use are over 45Ib so its not possible twist string with bare hands. Which bow you used for practice? Light strangth with thinner string? I really want that skill haha. Ps. I can't see your finger gribs well
@@ArminHirmer thanks. i have been watching curved shots from different people here in youtube for almost 3 hours now. i am looking at three specific characteristics. "power", "degree of curve" and "angle" of the arrow while in flight. so far, lars shots are still different than what the other people are doing.
Now I am gonna show you this... whatever... turning arrow. Instant like!
Armin, I love your subtle humor. You provide great entertainment, as well as in depth knowledge of archery.
Thats AWESOME!!! Thank you!!! Ive been driving myself crazy trying to figure this out. Great info. Thanks again.
now go and practice brother and show me a video :)
I can’t believe that they missed this glitch
Nice. This techgnique can be good in archery tag game.
I tried it with the combat arrows, it is a bit harder to make them turn
Foam tips make it weird
@@AnoNYmous-bz2ef and way too heavy
That's phenomenal, I've never seen that before although it makes sense that it could be done. Just like baseball with a curve ball pitch!

Sam same here bro seen lars video and was like ok explain more

I have always wondered how the old ones in our tribe did that trick.
Thank's Armin !!!
Next 180°shooting !!!! ???? 😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄
Richard Löwe8 ( achtung !!! Mixed approximative international joke!!)😎🇫🇷
of course, I am on it.
👍😎you're too strong!!!!
I'll do the tutorial since I'm good at that shot and it's called a tic tac 180 bro, be on the look out
now I know why I allways target the tree behind the 3d animal...:-D
hahaha :D
This was a very cool demo. It,s about how I was taught.👌
It takes a bit of practice but I've learned how to curve arrows with some precision
Very nice, Armin. Very nice!
i wondered how it was done, now once i get speed shooting down i have something else to work on, i love archery
I love your videos sir! Thank you!
Very nice! Thank you for sharing.
Armin great and very interesting... now I will try, without forget how to shoot normally ;) anyway is it possible that this method will be more effective if the arrows have the feathers mounted near the middle of arrows?
thanks. maybe yes. i don't like to modify my arrows, so I always use what I usually use :) go for a heavy tip first
very nice Mr Armin... Awesome!!!!
thank you
Thank you. Now I’m just going to go out, have fun and lose some arrows.
Finaly someone shows hot to do it
You can do the Lars Ardensen’s side arrow shot nice! You should have online students with video.
Thanks. Does the work on a compound bow? I am trying and it is not working, i dont know if it is my technique or bow type?
Amen! Practicing now
What's the max distance the arrow can curve around before somewhat straightening out?
I don't know, depends on draw weight of the bow and weight of the arrow
Does the index feather need to be inside side of the bow?
nope, happens by accident, as I do not care about index feather - as you can see my feathers are even all same colour
Can you give the link to buy those cylinder target
Can I please clarify which bow you're using? Kounov B mentioned a PSE 25# at 30", but I couldn't find anything like the one demonstrated on the PSE web store.
Samuel Rothe snake recurve by arc Rolan. PSE does not sell it anymore
Thanks. I recently bought a Chinese horse-bow I like, but I feel I would struggle to apply this technique with it (it's rated to 50#, though I'm not sure at what draw length). Doesn't mean I won't try though! :)
sure not that easy, but doable :D have fun
May i ask, Can thumb draw do this technique? Thanks Armin.
what is that green fabric at the end of range
Arrow stopping net from bearpaw

no twist needed. so even with 45# doable :) just nock the arrow higher and try
Armin Hirmer aw really? I see thanks a lot! :)
I TSHINK U MUST CHANGE DEIN SNAPP TEHCNIK
Thank you.
What bow are you using, it looks like you could shoot with the arrow on both the left and the right?
ambidextrous bow, snake recurve by arc rolan
Thank you.
Do you need special arrows?
Awesome thank you
where to buy arrow shaft?
what should i say? except great video and great job....thx very much
should I hang the arrow high to shoot left side? (I am rightist)
yes
Does this only work with thumb draw or will it work mediterranean?
Both ways
is it possible to shoot an arrow curved using compound bow?
theoretically yes, but it might be had to do and maybe even dangerous
Is this possible with a compound bow at all
i think yes, needs maybe a bit more practice
Most of my arrows have curves in them. Does that mean I can shoot around things?🤔🥴
Try, then you will know
Does this work on long distance too?
depends on draw weight, arrow tuning. not too long I guess
where can i get a training bow like that one?
also can anyone tell me what arrow backstop that is? the green canvas
the bow is the Snake Recurve, many online stores have them in stock. the green net is the arrow stopper net by bearpaw
@@ArminHirmer thanks, really appreciate it
What's the name of your Bow?
Snake by arc Rolan. Online for about 50usd

haha klar :D
Recurve?
Arrow is better than bullets. No waist high wall will stop this trick

how about you put a camera in front.
i want to clearly see the curve just like in lars video.
Yeah I will do a video just for you

The targets aren't in line
hahaha yeah of course... did you check it there? I put them in line, so if you did not move them... they are in line
