That was awesome from start to finish! That stalk was flawless and Dylan's capture was amazing. Especially loved the reactions and emotions of everyone involved. Another awesome THP episode!
Looks like you’re in the Southern tier in NY cause of the back tag. If you want a real challenge, look at the Adirondack Park in NNY (Northern zone), State land just South of Cranberry Lake. You can take a boat back there and camp and hunt without much hunting pressure, and you don’t need to wear a back tag. My Grandfather and his crew hunted there for years back when you could have permanent camps set up, and hunt for several weeks at a time each year.
I loved this video. I mean I love all of your videos.. but now you're hunting ground that I relate too. I think the hunters out east will really enjoy this series.
They are allowing 30 mins before/after this season & looking forward to it here in Western NY. Between your podcast & RUclips videos, I’ve really been able to grow as a guy in his 20s trying to teach himself how to hunt. Looking forward to Deer Tour ‘21, best of luck to the whole crew

NY is rough, man. I’ve lived here my whole life. Calls, rattling, etc..rarely work. Terrain is tricky and the deer movement, if any can be really hard to read-pattern. However, when it works...it’s all worth it. If you can kill a buck in NY you can kill one anywhere. Best of luck to you guys.
Dave Rushia agreed with the buck-to-doe ratio I'm born and raised in New York considered the Southern Tier foothills of the Catskills in Sullivan County I've got some decent bucks over the years but I've hunted hard and the buck-to-doe ratio is way out of whack that's because all the citidiots who come up here and buy all the land dirt cheap get all the doe permits. Doe permits are given out bye landowners or 4 and to primarily landowners which is why all these City people are getting all the doe permits all the time and locals rarely ever get them we have to build up our preference points in order to get a doe permit and that could take for years sometimes just to get a doe permit. So the buck-to-doe ratio in Sullivan County is at least 10/12 does to 1 buck. I've had to hunt state land my whole life sometimes if you're lucky like I've been recently this year found a piece of state land that that doesn't get any hunting pressure loaded with Oaks but as us New Yorkers know it's a wall of mountain laurel which makes it incredibly hard when you have a thousand acres of a wall of mountain laurel but it holds some booners or at least one anyway I have pictures of this year fingers crossed maybe I can get on them in the next two and a half weeks of rifle
