I can see why you like camping on those lakes! For myself it’s either a river or by the ocean. Love love love the sound of the waves. Another good one Al. Heading on a three week (360 mile) section of the AT tomorrow. Peace ✌️
Yo Ed, it’s been a while! Good to hear from ya. Best of luck on your journey. It sounds fantastic. Maybe one day when my little guy gets a bit older I’ll muster up the courage to do a section hike like that. Cheers buddy 🍻
Another great video Alex. The Lakes aren’t that far from me in Glasgow, admittedly I’ve never been for a hike there. Looks nice. I think my favourite wild camp would need to be a winter summit camp ⛺️🏔although I do like the sounds you get waking up in woodland. The meal you had was a good choice, the sticky toffee pudding of the same brand is decent too. Looking forward to the next video. Stay safe ATB ⛺️🏔
Many thanks Stewart! A summit camp in the snow would be very cool indeed. I haven’t tried one yet but it’s definitely on my list. Thanks for the heads up on the sticky toffee, I’ll pick some up next time I’m in the UK. Cheers buddy 🍻👍
Really enjoyed that one, nice relaxed pace throughout. The stove looks a nice piece of kit, and what a location, just wow. As a side note, I have the same two sleep pads, although the Sea to Summit has a lower r rating, I do get a better sleep on it, by far the comfiest sleep pad I have used. The xtherm I have is the regular size and I find it a bit narrow for my “large frame” and I tend to roll off it, although, you do notice the warmth reflecting back on you. That’s an excellent scarp tent. Glad you enjoyed your time in the area, until the next adventure, ATB 👍
Many thanks Sean, glad you liked it. Right, the pad is very comfortable and actually I found out that there was a bit of user error on my part. I found out later that it performs much better in the cold when fully inflated. I usually deflate my pads a bit cause I’m a side sleeper. Cheers bud 😃👍
@@alexonthemountain8343 cheers for the heads up, I do the same so I’ll keep that in mind, I’ve always felt the material cool to the touch so usually use a sleeping bag liner with my quilt… Anyways keep up the good work, I’ll look forward to your next film 👍
That was very cool indeed. It was actually the third plane that had gone by. The first two I missed because my phone was in my backpack and I was fumbling to get it out, lol… Cheers Grant 🍻
Loved this video ! ❤happy to see you are enjoying the outdoors without struggling with harsh storms! Lol
I like camping anywhere near water. Rivers are nice, listening to the creek water while camping next to it.
That hike looks sooo beautiful walking through the rolling hills like that!! So awesome. Nice video
Loved this. 👍🏼

Hmmm. I like camping in the majestic redwoods next to river. That’s my favourite.
A nice spot indeed!
Excellent video 👍🏼. The lake looks like a mirror in the morning.
Thanks amigo!
