- On this episode of Tekéze TV I will show you how to build a portable deck well for your boat. Portable deck wells are great to hold an excess of live bait when out fishing. Whether your boat does not come with a livewell or your boat comes without enough livewells. Portable livewells are great to have when wanting to hold extra bait. Thanks for watching!!

Best, most straight-forward video I have seen on building a portable live well. Just what I was looking for. Thank you!
Been waiting for you to post a video. The wait was worth it
Thank you buddy. This make my install easy now.
I made a livewell for sardines and anchovy on the west coast, but the sardines were dying faster than I wanted. I had an aerator on top that had water flowing thru. I am going to change the intake water to the venturi valve that you have. Seems like more aeration than I currently have. Thanks for the vid!!!
Love your channel! More Content required!!!!
Video coming out soon!
Yeah Hey how you doing brother just wanna say thanks. Next. I want to say thank you I learned something today it's gonna help me as well.. And I am going to subscribe for sure be safe out there.
Nice video! Would you do one showing how you go about finding a bait spot and how to verify you are on fish with the fish finder?
Awesome Demo Video for Simple Live Well! What size M Tank could I get away with on my 17' Whaler?
Best break down of how to do this on RUclips! What size diameter is that outflow fitting?
2"
Nice setup man, love the new boat. When you use the live well I’m assuming you no longer have use of the wash down? Or have you been able to do Y valve to bi pass and go back and forth between water to live well vs water to hose?
Thanks bro! My wash down and portable live well run off 2 different pumps. I have a pump in one of my Betts boxes just for the portable well.
Nice shirt
Thanks Mon
What size bait tank are you using in this video? Thanks
Using a 30 gallon set-up. Is there a reason why my bubbles stop coming through the Venturi once the water level reaches a certain height?
Hell that live well would sink my boat. Just kidding. Looks like another great tool for keeping you in the hunt so to speak. Hope to get to the keys soon. Oviedo guy.
C'mon! The fish and I are waiting for you.
What kind of line are you using to catch the bate?
I really like this livewell set up. I'd LOVE to get a list of the parts that he uses for overflow, intake, venturi vent, aerator hose and the input hose and overflow hose. I'm not handy at all, but would love to make this. The more specifics about the equipment he uses, the better. Thanks!!!
You and me both
Ditto
Great stuff, I might add one now.
You needed another 4dz to fill that baby up tho. C’mon man! 🤣
Lol no doubt. We try not to go out for more than 4 hours when catching bait offshore. ( key word being TRY) We get what need for our charters and then ride
May I ask where you purchased the poly tank and its diameter? Thanks!
is the venturi valve directional?
Do you know why the Venturi max-air intake has to be mounted on the livewell at all? Could the cord for the intake be cut to almost nothing and then just have the max-air intake secured in some way to the outside of the tank
It needs to be above the waterline in the live well. Mounted on the tank is the only place that makes sense
What brand and size poly tank? Thanks!
Same here, a parts list? Thanks!
I know this is an old video but is there anyway to get a list of the parts?
Where did you buy the pvc plumbing parts?
West marine

How did u rig ur line to catch those live bait with ur pole?
Looks like a sabiki rig
Sabiki
Why put the inflow at the bottom? If you turn it off, all the water will drain out. If you had put it 3/4 of the way up, the water can only drain down 3/4th of the way down. I personally like it above the drain hole. Then you can have use a spray bar or below the outflow and have a calm inflow.
15 gallon or 50
What pump do you use on this setup?
It is connected to my sea chest
@ So the sea chest draws water using the intake of the engine not a separate pump right? Have not seen that for myself but if so it sounds great.
Never mind I read down below and you said you have 2 pumps running . What I was asking is what size was the pump for the portable. The water flow going through the intake looked pretty strong.
@@getitdone6694 the portable gets attached to a 1500gph Rule
What does the ventrui vent do exactly
The venturi system draws fresh air from outside the livewell and injects tiny air bubbles into the water flowing into the livewell.
With the aerated water entering the well at a lower level than with traditional spray heads, the entire well is more thoroughly aerated.
I bet I'm taking it easier than you!!!😎👍👍
