You’ve been a huge inspiration to myself and my kids. They used to roll their eyes during our hunt for bait. Your channel has changed the game, and I now hear “what would Captain Mike do?” every morning as THEY practice cast netting! Thanks brother. (21.59 us gal)
Hi Chad - I had only planned on awarding one person, but I loved your comment so much I had to do make you a winner too! Glad to hear the kids love catching bait and using their cast net. Shoot me an email with your shirt size and shipping address.
Been to that shop... Shane is an awesome guy! Without a doubt you went with the right ppl to build your boat. Been subscribed to you way before your boat build and now I can’t wait for each new video!
Thank you Captain Mike for another great video !! Can’t wait to see the finished product !!
I love how you’re sharing your boat builder with everyone. Good call with the color. I work at SeaVee Boats and all shades of gray are really popular right now. Perhaps once this whole pandemic crisis is over you can stop by for a factory tour. I think you would really be impressed by SeaVee’s way of building a three part boat. That Live Bait hoodie is so fresh, I’ll trade you SeaVee shirt for one of your hoodies. Keep those videos coming.
Thanks John. I’m in!
Love the edits Mike. Keep it up. Channel is gonna blow up!
i would say that is attention to detail ..going over the non skid with a fine tooth comb.. this is the second time i am watching this series ... very enjoyable .. you have a nice boat mike
Dude, long time saltwater fisherman here, love the channel! Absolutely binge-ing your content. Great looking boats these guys build, Shane is awesome and I have so much respect for a master of the trade like him. Im gonna get back to watching but just wanted to tell you how great this is....its like house hunters for fisherman hahahaha. KEEP THEM LINES TIGHT BROTHA!
oh and 21.594 gallons is the difference. I am cheating a little bit by being a mechanical engineer I guess but whatever, its actually not quite right because they have radiused corners...but if you gave me the radii of all edges then i could give a more exact answer, close enough for government work though.
Answer, ALOT! 21.6 gallons more with your custom livewell. Love the whole build series!! Love your channel Capt. Mike!!
21.6 gallons. Love your videos man keep up the great work! Can’t wait to see the finished product!
Love the quality of the build!
Definitely worth the upgrade and extra $$ to get approximately 21.5 extra gallons. Watching your build unfold inspired me to get some custom upgrades to my boat. Unfortunately, one of my upgrades (going all digital touchscreen gauges and getting rid of the old school gauges) cannot be done. I have a 2009 Honda Outboard and my motor missed the cutoff by approximately 6-8 months for being NMEA compatible 🤦♂️. But that's ok, getting other cool upgrades to make the safer and more user friendly when we go offshore! Thanks for taking the time to share your experiences with us.
Tight lines Capt Mike!
21.594 Gallons!!!! Holy Cow Capt. Mike, that’s a huge baitwell. You are such a inspiration to my dream boat I would love to build one day!!!! Also, I would pressurize that second tank. I don’t want you to regret it bro.
Tight Lines baby!!!!!
Sooo jealous of your new boat! Can’t wait to see the finished boat! I come up with 19.7 gallons.
21.594 gallon difference. Love the vids, can’t wait to see this beauty come together!
Cool video Captain ! The difference between the custom bait well and the standard is - 21.594 wow great use of space. Nice job guys!
awesome compilation brother!
Great video captain Mike. The difference in gallons of your custom bait well and the stock bait well is 21.6 gallons of water. You will fit approx 21-22 extra baits based on your theory of 1 bait per gallon of water. Tight lines stay safe, still working on my project in Key Largo see you soon.
Your channel is awesome. Love your expertise.
Great info!! Things to think about.
Nice build, you are going to have a great fishing platform. difference between the standard tank and the custom 19.22 gal.
62 gallons in the custom tank / 42.78 gallons in the custom tank.
Keep up the build videos!
love the upgrade and id say it is a great move! im looking at 20.8 gallons. thats an eyeball guess but either way 20 more baits off shore can be a game changer. stay awesome Capt Mike! Tight lines
22 gallon difference.great boat build series..its all about the live bait bro!!tight lines
Great video Cpt. Mike, as long as we are all guessing the difference is 22.40 gallons. Can't wait to see the final product.
Thank you for taking the time to give us another informative and inspiring video!
I calculated a difference of 22.2 gallons.
Be easy.
Been enjoying this series. Looking forward to the final product! I would say the difference between the 2 is 21.6 US gallons. Fingers crossed. haha
21.59415584 gallon difference.
Can't wait to see that 62 gallon well, full of some beautiful lovely baits! Tight lines, Capt!
"..... beautiful lively baits!"
Lol... spell check wrote "lovely baits!"
damn the first live bait is enough for me :D HUGE
J
Nice job 👍🏾
Mike great video make sure you check the angle on the top of a live on you may need a run that drain out of the front face upon the running angle boat also for the level pumps if you can Spring for it I highly recommend the Hooker electrics I love on my boat and you'll have plenty of flow. I'm running a 160 gallons of live Wells on my bow from one of their pumps
Excelente información Capi Mike . Reel reports es muy informativo, buen canal. Yo diría que la diferencia son 20 Galones por los detalles de las esquinas más la capa de yelco, seguro 20 Galones!
Enjoy seeing the build what kind of electronics are you thinking ?
Hey capt mike! Bringing up the issue of live bait, i installed a livewell leaning post in my mako project. The same one you had in your 25 compettion. Do you have any tricks or tips to keep it from overflowing onto the deck? I have 1 1/8 coming in 1 1/2 going out, but the strainer at the top of the well doesnt seem to keep up well.
Actually comes to 21.59 gallons difference. Nice work. Loving this series
After a few beers and a lot of looking at it I’m thinking about 25 gallons. Keep up the great content.
Great work brother Cant wait to see this boat Completed !
GALLONS DIFFRENCE
34 GALLON REGULAR
58 NEW TANK
There is a difference of 21.5941558442 gallons between them.
DUDE! I love that boat your building, can't wait for the finished product, and hopefully fish in it one day...
Nice to know that the guy working on your boat is a perfectionist.
17 gallon difference....great series!!!!
21.594 gallon difference. Awesome series man. love it
21.6 gallon difference.... holy cow thats almost the size of my baitwell!
Shane seems an artist & craftsman
Hey I’m kind of curious to see if you know if the standard Livewell option drains out the bottom of the well, through the stringer’s and out of the hull side or do the drain from the side of the wells. 18:19 The reason I’m asking this is because I’m rebuilding a 81 Rampone 25 “SeaVee/WhiteWater 25” and I really liked my forward Livewell setup but I’m looking to simplify it. So that I don’t have to run tubing under my tank all the way to the transom. Thank you
It is 21.6 gallons. Great videos. Keep them coming.
You can add 21.59 extra bait to your tank!
Really enjoying your build. Thank you for sharing your dream with us.
Tight Lines
22 gallon difference capt mike ! Tight lines!!
21.6 of it were perfect rectangle, but since the corners were rounded with glass I would say it’s closer to 21 gal difference
21.5942 gallons is the difference. Great step by step series on how your boat is built. Looks awesome!!! 👍
20.86 Gallons. Nice build, and videos. Keep up the great work. Up here in NJ thats extra storage for a few more cement shoes.
Approximately 21.59 gallons difference given the dimensions you provided. Probably less since one is rectangle and one is oval. But close enough! Can’t wait to see it all finished!
Good video buddy thanks 🙏....
21.6 differance
love seeing your boat as its being made wow thats a huge baitwell
21.56. That’s a huge difference!! Definitely worth the little extra money.
Nice vid, Mike! When does livebait.com go...live? I'd like to get one of your nets.
Cuda
Here’s my take. Given the measurements you gave 21.6 gallons difference but I suspect that it would lose quite a bit in the corners because of the radius. with a 3in radius you would lose a bit of water so I would guess the difference between the wells is 19.5 gal. Going to be a nice boat
Mike I hear you're interested in Whaler? I have a 16' 1970 project boat on a working trailer. It's in a garage in Naples you could check it out on one of your trips to LTB.
The difference is 21.6 gals...I really like this series you're doing,,, it's pretty cool. Tight lines 😎
21.594153247 gallon difference in capacity. That is substantial and probably definitely worth the modification. That will give you 21.594153247 more baits per your rule. Fish on man, love your channel. Man I got to get caught up on some farm work so I can get fishing. That shirt would sure help protect my farmers tan.
Fantastic boat build, 21.59 extra gallons, Wow
The difference is 31.59 gallons. By the way its a great build you are making. Keep the updates coming giving me some great ideas on my dream build
21,6 gallons. Volume of live-well, it’s like a money, can’t be too much. Every spare gallon worth it. Thnx for series!
Greetings from western Australia. Mate I'd say your live well is close enough to 5 gallons biger 👍
What brand is that leaning post livewell do u have I need one like that for my boat let me know thx …
Competiton Boats
Dear capt Mike,
This is Casper from thé Netherlands and u say the right result is .. 21,594.
Greetings
Hey, I missed you! Lol
Keep on fishin brother Mike! Even to us 6 packers you're the best out there amigo!! 21.594 gallons
21.5942 gallon difference. Love the series!
All about the bait!
The bait will be more comfortable than me.
21 1/2 gallons... very interested in how the pluming is made to pressurize them.
I know you did its the same process but can you record a video of the deck cap/liner being made. Please! Pretty please!
In the minute 4:45 bait name or fish ID? Please!
The difference is...... MORE.! Haa. Dig the build.... Glad i found it....
Do you sell live bait? Is that why you want to have that big of a capacity or is it strictly for fishing?
Captain Mike, you added 21.6 extra gallons of live well capacity. Or, 21~22 extra baits when you use the 1 gallon per bait method, and one day, when we go fishing together, that's 21~22 more fish we will catch!
Who sings the song at the end?
Where can I find it?
21.594 glorious gallons difference and 21 more threadfin hearing!! Sounds pretty sweet to me.
Pretty big difference in size man, comes up to a little over 21 and a half gallons at 21.6. The extra volume should help keep bait longer before having to change water to reduce ammonia levels.
21.594 Gal. I like the new Sea Pro boat livewells, the bay boats come with 2 pressurized livewells. Has to be a world of difference for healthy bait
21.59415584 gal difference assuming the edges are the same. LOVE the boat and the series btw!!
Mike - Build is looking good. Gallon difference is 21.59. Tight lines.
21.5941532468 gallons to be exact! First video of the boat build I've watched. Fixing to start at the beginning!
Nice video. I calculate a 21.59 gal. difference.
21.6 more gals than the standard. Great series!
21.598. Geeze mine is only 20 gallons. That’s a lot of baits in your customized well. Cannot wait to see this thing done
21.6 gallon is the difference. Can’t Waite to see it finish .
21.6 gallons bigger. 20 more baits. 20 more bites.20 more fish. Got get em Capt.
I would say 21.5 from your numbers.
Given the rounded corners not knowing the exact numbers on the corners you will probably gain about 20 gallons. That's before the bait. You will also loose some for displacement. Great build I love it!
how much total cost without engine..??
Are you familiar with the Onslow Bay 27?
31.594 gl with 21 more baits. Nice video
~21 more baits or 21.5943 gallons; boat looks sweet man - hope to get out on a charter one day
When will the boat be done
Awesome Video!!! Was just wondering what was the name of the song?
I am guessing 22.3 gallons larger. Good job👍
I never would have heard about this boat. I love the build quality. Super impressive.
APPROX 21.6 gallons! DANG that's impressive
21.6 US gal bigger tank - well done, and definitely worth it
Rounding to the closest tenth of a gallon ... custom is 21.6 gallons bigger. Extra credit! 53% bigger. :-)
21.5926562 gallons if you are looking for an exact number. Wow, I never would have guessed that...had I shot from the hip I would have thought 10 gallons at the most!!! Captain Mike, Id like to have you help me spec my new boat!!!!
21.59415584 gallon difference! Heard it here from the engineering major😂, sick boat can't wait to see the finished product!
Could you be a little more precise. haha
@@crowman5936 trying to win it!😂
Looking forward to seeing this boat on the water full of bait. Custom live well will hold 21.594153247 gallons more.
