  • "Dreammare" by Uriah Heep is a compelling track that exemplifies the band's early sound and their ability to blend heavy rock with progressive elements. The song's themes of nightmares and psychological horror, combined with its powerful musical composition, make it a memorable and influential piece in the history of rock music. As part of their debut album, "Dreammare" helped to establish Uriah Heep as a pioneering force in the hard rock and heavy metal genres, leaving a lasting impact on the music world.

Hi Alan, Like you, I'm not a musician, I only know that some music appeals to me, some doesn't. Uriah Heep are very much the former. I can't analyse it the way some people can, but I always find it interesting listening to those who can. It is always gratifying when I come across a younger person finding and liking music I liked when I was young, but is now mostly forgotten. I hope you continue down this road, there is much still to discover. These bands built the foundation for much of today's rock and metal.

I hope that I keep getting guided by good people like yourself 👍 a good percentage of the songs from foundational bands are generally given to me by my peers on this little channel I started 😎👍👍

A song that grabs you by the throat and challenges to experience to the end, helped along by the rhythm section. Excellent production for 1970.

    It's a startling song on first hear. It's not a dream. It's not a nightmare. It's a DREAMARE!! 🙂

Uriah Heep, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath....1970 should be considered the start of heavy metal.

@@alan-reacts65 Most of the younger metal fans are blown away by 70's metal. They don't realize that it was already a thing

Thanks Alan. Another great reaction 👍 I had the pleasure of seeing Heep half a dozen times in the 70’s and they were fantastic live. If you fancy hearing another side to them try Come away Melinda from the same album. Thanks again 🙂

URIAH HEEP always seemed a little too keyboard-forward than the sound I prefer, but that guitar SLICES through the mix! Problematic vocals, but the vox was NEVER the HEEP's strong suit. This song has a tremendous "psychedelic 60's" hangover feel to it! (Did too much of the bad brown acid, then decided to write songs...) Good choice, great reaction! Thanks, Alan.
