The Autobots are experienced veterans who have seen the cruelty of war and suffered great guilt and depression of it but they still fight on in hopes they will achieve their goal for peace and freedom of all sentient beings, with hoping that no more casualties being inflicted. Unlike their descendants the Maximals who are soft for they live in a time of peace after the war. While they do have something to fight for and may have suffered a lot, theirs are not as what the Autobots experienced for having fighting the war for so long. I can tell from the Maximals reaction when Arcee step out of line everln though she doesn't want but have to in order to convince them that there is something more worth than what they are fighting for now.

How the hell do they not know about the Allspark?! they’re from thousands of years into the future. Even Primal knew about the Key to Vector Sigma, so they should at least have some knowledge or record of the Allspark.
Something other than the allspark may somehow able create new life, such the predacons and maximuls exist. Though wonder if they delve into way. I mean in beast wars sparks were first introduced and allspwark i believe wasnt a thing to live action movie. So something from g1 and beast wars eras are somehow to create sparks. I know this series is different but whatever created the sparks in beast wars cartoon defiantly wasn't the all spark
Most if not all of cybertrons infrastructure was lost in the final days of the war databases historical records would have been lost as well. They also come from a future where autobots and decepticons have died out there only records of what happened in the war and the history from before would come from autobots and decepticons not high ranking enough to be kept in the loop.

That's why BW Megatron is different, that's why the Golden Disc works differently, that's why the BW characters are as tall as the G1 characters and that's why works different. Movie Optimus Prime isn't the same as G1, same name doesn't mean same character
Where the 2 previous seasons failed in the VA casting, I loved the BW casting. They nailed it except for Tigatron and definitely the more egregious choice for BW Megatron. It wasn’t even close. The “Yeeessss” was even lackluster and misplaced. I can even forgive making him a Megatron simp, but the voice was not right. Like Primal’s made the character his own. Had a different voice for a different incarnation. But this was BW Megatron we’re talking about. He’s much too beloved to have a lesser voice.
I don’t think it’s productive to go on and on about the characters not having their original voice actors. I think they ought to be analyzed based on their performance.

I like how the maximals sound more organic meanwhile the autobots sound like robots.
The Autobots are pure mechanical, while the Maximals have some animals' DNA spliced into their system, hence the voice sounds more organic, I guess.
