Your observation is always correct, with statistics and data. Unfortunately the Kerala State is lacking visionary, well educated and qualified leaders.
The vision of great leaders is the reason why any normal Keralites are qualified to travel anywhere. Thanks to an education system that allowed me-and countless others-to complete 10+2+3+2 years of education without incurring a single rupee in tuition, I can stand shoulder to shoulder with people from any background. This speaks volumes about the quality and inclusivity of the education we receive here. Unlike the Gujjus dunki migrants, Mallus don't have to wait at Canadian and Mexican borders to get shot at or be frozen to death midway infiltrating another country. In a state that was at the time of Independence, one of the poorest states with a literacy rate of under 50%, we have come a long way. Who do you call a good leader, if not the people that have led this dramatic change? We've had plenty of exceptional leaders, and we still have.

All the money is from outside the state and thats we see people have built big houses and own big estates but the roads are in poor condition. People developed but state didnt. Reality is we lack something.
I moved to the U.S. in 1969 and never looked back. However, i spend 6 months annually in india because i love Kerala with all my heart. I only wish Keralites would allow new industries and tourism to flourish. Instead, they do everything to fight them. It is outrageous and disappointing that sundry items are imported from China, instead of being created by local talent and industries. They do manufacture gheraos, disruption, and protests. While other states and nations progress, Kerala and India stagnate in these aspects. Karma is always around the corner. I hate to be the Devil's Advocate. When will they ever learn? I guess, never. Thank you so much
Keralites don't wait for jobs, they go towards jobs, that's why so many migrate. If the Kerala governments, both past and present had done something about it, this emigration could have been stopped. But the political parties are only interested in coming to power and making more and more money.
They go towards jobs... interesting
while marwaris, Sindhis, gujurathis, parsis create jobs
Well presented dear Joe....articulate indeed

My senior developer used to travel a lot of countries . Once he travelled to south america he went to visit a dangerous ganga territory while he was walking through he saw a sign board "oonu ready" which means lunch ready in malayalam lol. He met a malayali guy over living with a family have a small restaurent in the middle of that gang territory lol. There is saying when niel amstrong landed the moon they had chai from a malayali tea shop over there😂

My great grand uncle migrated to Malay ( present Malaysia and Singapore ) in the early 1960s and another one went to Ceylon. Kerala geography is only good for early and retired life . Today kerala is the most costliest place in India with average manual labour wage INR1200 per day compared to 400 in Bengal or UP.
Kerala good for early and retired life. Interesting observation
Really little more than making the best of a bad situation. The opportunity cost of moving abroad is real and felt very deeply, especially among the aged.
Yes, migration doesn't come without its price and seniors may pay more
Your observation is always correct, with statistics and data.
Interesting viewpoint
Thank you
@@LukoseJoseph007this is the fact … but these idiots think those Gujjus frozen to death are the successful model .. joemetric, ithu pole oru pittan vere illa 😝😝😝
Kerala lacks the ability to influence the nation and bring together the resources to develop thos state.
Hence, the brain drain.
Welcome home every year!
Great 👍

Wow yes yes even today many nurses are from Kerala

I heard some positive news from you about us. Keep it up when everyone else only promote bad news, negative reports, slandering talks.. am an NRI people says am successful, we all have issues, but let’s spread peace and harmony, positive news. So that others get inspired and changed.
Few years back I visited Georgia and went to a remote skee trip at Gadovi mountain top. When we reached at peak we were approached by two young boys to our surprise- “sir, chai..coffee? Choodu vada sambar? Parotta?”. It’s pleasant and shocking to our family at that icy mountain.

Interesting anecdote from Gadovi 😊
Keralites always vote with their legs. My father did that in 1967. He never went back after retirement.

Yes, many choose to locate in the places they migrated to
Kerala's government has yet to establish a practical system to regulate the influx of people from other states, making it an open destination for those seeking entry. In contrast, Western countries are proactively implementing legal and practical reforms to manage incoming individuals.
We are a state; cannot be compared to countries that put up barriers for migrants

Drive through villages of Central and Southern Kerala you would be hard pressed to find anyone in age group 18-50. Earlier gulf migrants came back after retirement or after their contract ended. Today a whole generation is leaving for Canada, UK, Australia, US and EU and have no plans to return. In my family I am the only one staying in India

Could you do the history of first malayalies in USA?
Will try
USA gave the first 100 visas to Indians in 1966. And then they increased the numbers, because India had a large population that could ably be used in the US and they send out the visas and the very qualified Indians who would not get jobs in India came - especially those who were qualified in ISI's , IITs etc. We know 3 of them who came in 1969. One is the very famous guy Raghu who got the fields medal in Math
Pls call spade a spade and share the hard facts of the agonies and disillusionment of these students going abroad. You have a social responsibility towards that rather than showcasing the success stories.

Interesting information about malayalee people

There are many keralites doing well in foreign countries.
Yes
The ones who went abroad through their hardwork and merit earned the jobs and positions they deserved.Would it have been possible here???
That's an important point. Kerala has to be a meritorious society. Sadly, backdoor appointments are the norm now, dispiriting youth

Those who migrated 70s and before. For them Kerala is just like any other part of India. So they wont come back and their kids don't know to read and write Malayalam and those who migrated are now in their last stage of life or alredy died and their grand kids struggle even to speak Malayalam so those guys will lose their malayali identity within 20 years.
Those who migrated in 80s and 90s majority will come back except those who are highly settled and those who got citizenship. For them Kerala is an okayish state.
Those migrated after 2000 will mostly comeback after their aspirations. Because Kerala right now is comparatively better state to live in India.
Thanks to the great leaders we have in past and present times.
If nothing happens to our foreign remittance and simultaneously we should focus on the development of micro manufacturing units accross the state along with continue the growth of service sector and if we don't face any major distasters or wars in next twenty or thirty years i think we will continue to thrive do better as society. Finger crossed 🤞
We can proudly say that not even single Malayalam speaking family lies on roads or streets who others can say like that.❤

I agree. My dad moved out from Kerala in 1965. My grandfathers sisters moved out in 1947. and 2 others followed in 1951. We are happy where we are. The next generation like us have mixed marriages and next next generations are getting into mixed marriages. So we have lost the language but come back to Kerala for the beautiful screens. It does. Older people are lonely and mass migration from backward states will change landscape of Kerala. Guess which state people commit most crimes in Kerala

That will be a far fetched dream. Nowadays companies in Kerala are hiring north indians and even those who live right next to these companies are not able to get jobs there.
Kerala workers are generally cleaner and the same can't be said for pan gutka chewing workers from outside. We will have to practice obstacle courses to navigate roads full of paan and spit like we have to do in other states.

Sad to say but, such a beautiful place like Kerala where foreigners would pay 1000's of dollars to visit and stay is governed by a bunch of corrupt, illiterate, foolish ministers. They don't know that Kerala is like a Jewel. Most educated people but, without proper infrastructure and opportunities will only want to leave Kerala. The minimum basic requirements are hard to achieve.
Such attitude from govt officials and locals will never let this land prosper.
Sometimes I wish if the we were governed like Singapore, we would be like the "Jewel on the necklace" worn by our Mother Earth.

I have seen a lot of videos from you, basically scaremongering on what has happened and continues to happen about economic migration. This economic migration is not limited to Kerala ..it is happenign all over the world..rural and semi urban areas are vanishing faster than expected, due to multiple factors.
If you really wish to see Kerala flourishs , spread some positivity at some point. A lot of Industrial, IT and Infra development has happened in the recent past and encourage youth to stay in the state or country rather than migrating to do care home jobs.
Do some good to the society. Maybe the target audience might not be happy with it.

See for migration of keralite different story so don't lie , orginal truth is because of Dharawad Culture
In Hindi there is a saying that Dogs dont have the ability to digest Desi ghee. Most of Kerala society suffers from that syndrome. Prior to outward migration Mallus where scattered all over India, escaping poverty in Kerala. The same people when they became somewhat stable, they started boasting about theirr pedigree, everyone was claiming that he has Nallukettu in his ancestral land . The kerala society is a remiitance based society full of pomp and false ego. It is not self sufficient in food production, if mallus make a course correction then only they can survive, if they continue the show off culture , thinking that they r the superior people, it will be no good for them. A bit of humility and humbleness will do no harm
