Here's an idea, CiG if you want in increase revenue, instead of developing more ships, FOCUS on FIXING the many persistent glitches and improve existing gameplay quality. Best ISC season to date for sure. Have a good break Jared, loved the spaceman reveal. The Polaris is looking good so far and interesting to see a new larger Drake ship.
Me talking to my friend last week about a SuperCatterpillar, well here it is. We can see the insane improvement in design since the Cat, and i love it, Nice work.
I'm salivating over the concept of major salvage operations with the ironclad and multiple vultures. 2-4 on stripping in vultures, 2 on loading into the bay, and 1 pilot ferrying 2 separate chassis back and forth to sell the cargo.
I get you, but I would rather have them fix the Reclaimer, so you can offload from the Reclaimer. Also, there does need to be a midsized salvager, Vulture is a "light salvage" reclaimer a "heavy salvage". The Vulture feels too small to really warrant the new ship, being more in line with a Cutlass or Connie Andromeda for cargo. Reclaimer is closer to what an Ironclad would be wanted for, but even then the Ironclad is too small, with the Reclaimer having a "snap" storage of 420 (which currently doesn't include the salvage hold, cargo hold, and only half of the processing hold) so final numbers for that would be in the potential of thousands of SCU. So there does need to be a mid sized, with a salvage hold in the low to mid hundreds (as opposed to the Vulture's 13 SCU) but not the thousands (the Reclaimer after it goes through an update, most likely).

I think it’s awesome that they are working on all these cool vehicles, the Ironclad looks great and is definitely something I think will bring a change to the game. My concern is what about the older vehicles that have gotten no attention or updates in years? The Liberator, namely because I have it, looks like an amazing ship, but we have heard so little, and they are introducing new ships and finishing them before other, previously released ships, are getting done. The Banu merchantman is another that comes to mine. The hype was there a year or two ago, and now we have heard nothing since
I wish I could like this a thousand times! YES Faterpillar! YES DRAKE assets for Kraken! YES... WINDOWS ON SHIPS!!! And omg best outro of the season 😂 Thanks guys! Enjoy the downtime 🎉
Called it from the first time Mr. Orange appeared on screen. That being said, Man I can't wait for the Ironclad. I was expecting everything from drake BUT a super armored cargo ship that holds more than a Caterpillar but less than a Hull C.
I love the lil detail with the visible missilerack/magazin on the bridge. Kinda reminds me to the Constellation. You can see the missilerack/magazin there too.
Now, I mostly stick to soloable ships, so I'm stopping at the 600i and C2 size. That said, I love to seem more variety in the 'verse and the Ironclad is a beautiful expansion of the Drake catalog. The Kraken is my current favourite capital ship in the 'verse so anything that brings is closer is cool to see. So, why did I comment? Because that ending was awesome. When it hit 15:36 and we get to see who's in the suit... and then he faceplants, tripping on a Pico? Perfection.
@@eggertime Well, than every ship which isnt a fighter will be unflyable solo. Even a Freelancer has Components which can be hit, its not much different in a C2. Its a bit more to walk, but walking only makes a few % of the needed time in Engineering Gameplay.
Regarding the 'death of a spaceman'. I hope they add some kind of 'SCAV' mode similar to Escape from Tarkov. Let us occasionally play in the Verse with disposable side characters to flesh out the numbers for big fighter battles or community events. i like the idea of it but there's a certain pressure that is nice to escape at times.
where as lots of the other ships come off as almost Gaudy to me, Like if Apple made spaceships instead of iPhone's I love how utilitarian DRAKE ships are, there is no embellishment or excessively bright lights or shiny white panels and I love them for that, Drake is the working man's ship building company.
Ironclad having variants is good to hear, but doesn't that cargo room seem perfect for modules? Like a market module would be pretty cool. Cool ship tho! Kraken owners will be happy to see all those assets being worked on for sure.
I'm a proud Polaris owner, and I very genuinely can't wait for its release. The view from the cockpit and the attention you're putting in to the torpedo's is highly commendable. It feels like it's almost perfect but, the recently shown iteration has the turrets very different to the second phase concept art (which I thought truly hit the ball out of the park). The current turrets have a really boxy aesthetic and a bit of a Drake look to them. Please, if you're planning on up-gunning the Polaris (which will be amazing and also greatly appreciated but I didn't think needed, so is a very cheeky bonus), can you make those turrets look a little more sleek like in the re-concepting? Then, I think she'll be fully on point and perfect. Cheers and keep up the top work!
The turrets literally have the shape of the bridge, albeit somewhat taller, which is a good thing, because a lot of the turrets in the game offer poor visibility (check out the new Retaliator turrets). This is a change that should be applauded; you're only focusing on looks alone, while turrets with poor visibility make them borderline unusable or frustrating.
So its the caterpillar+ ? Hopefully this means the space phallus is going to get a long awaited gold standard polish from this? (I just want the ramps and parking sensors to work tbh)
I doubt they will touch the caterpillar until they do it's modularity pass which might still take some time. They said they were at the point where they can support swapping internal modules from the asop terminals (so basically retaliator, galaxy etc) but not where you can de- or attach modules on the fly like with the caterpillar or Carrack.
I remember the Odyssey announcement with a nice white box like this and announcement that its in development. That was 2 years ago and its been totally forgotten by CIG.
"In development" means little. Making the concept art is already development, gray boxing in 3D and white boxing is also development, but at that point is still just a placeholder not even remotely half backed. What tells how many time may take is to know what position is in the pipeline. Those who are actively creating the ships are working on the top one, two or five.
@@dawnfire82 I think the point is once again selling a new ship concept when millions of supporter dollars have already been spent on buying ships that have been 'in production' for over a decade now. Disco Marshmallow is a menace. I love that you can have fun with this show. Keep it up!
and the legend of Disco Lando was cut short by a bloodthirsty Pengu
With CIG’s way of doing things, i really hope they acknowledge this as to not flush SC down the toilet. If they introduce death of a spaceman without having the game in a stable released state, in which you dont randomly blow up to a bug that was “fixed” 2 years ago. No one is going to play.
1:18 MEMAW dropped her doubledog!!
Scooters never gonna hear the end of it.
Are you sure? The other people there were not immediately fleeing in terror, and the event hall is still intact...
Does this mean MEMAW is actually Jared?!
@@xkitejunkie they both have the same beard shape.
@@xkitejunkie No, it means that ain't Memaw. Did you see anyone get eaten? I didn't. And Memaw would be double fisting two double-dogs in each hand, while still managing to berate Scooter into getting more.
Thank you Jared and Co. Fantastic show to end the season as always
I knew it, it was Disco animating that suit!!!
Drake collector here... and i can't wait for this one! "We... Love.... DRAKE"
That Polaris bridge... and the Ironclad lander needs a machinima with the Highfleet themesong...
I liked what I heard about the Polaris.
Called it from the first time Mr. Orange appeared on screen. That being said, Man I can't wait for the Ironclad. I was expecting everything from drake BUT a super armored cargo ship that holds more than a Caterpillar but less than a Hull C.
I love the lil detail with the visible missilerack/magazin
on the bridge.
Perfection.
Have fun with the C2 engineering
@@eggertime Well, than every ship which isnt a fighter will be unflyable solo. Even a Freelancer has Components which can be hit, its not much different in a C2. Its a bit more to walk, but walking only makes a few % of the needed time in Engineering Gameplay.
@friest1984 realistically, Yes. However there is a difference between having to sprint a football field and having to sprint to the back of a bus.
TBF, the interior of a Hercules is only _half_ a football field.
Kinda bummed it did get called the butterfly 🦋 since that's the next evolution for a caterpillar, plus it would have been an ironic name.
the assault variant still can be called butterfly :P
I get where you're coming from, but I think they named it Caterpillar because well... it kinda looks like one haha
But a Buttefly is pretty. Nothing Drake makes is pretty.
Or a connected name, like Drake Monarch. Sounds pretty good to me.
Drake IronClad Butterfly
Will we soon see Drake Forklift for loading and unloading the Ironclad?
I can’t wait to get it when it comes out in 2040 😢💀
where as lots of the other ships come off as almost Gaudy to me, Like if Apple made spaceships instead of iPhone's I love how utilitarian DRAKE ships are, there is no embellishment or excessively bright lights or shiny white panels and I love them for that, Drake is the working man's ship building company.
I didn't think I'd care about the Iron Clad, but ended up really liking it. Polaris is looking fantastic and so glad to hear about the up-gunning!
Thanks for up-gunning my flagship! It's like you guys heard my prayers. Love that military variant fatterpiller, too. Enjoy your break. o7
GO DRAKE GO
win go win win?!
@@SICARiO_H88 😆
We want more basement updates
I think it would be cool to see a combat variant of the 890
Ironclad having variants is good to hear, but doesn't that cargo room seem perfect for modules? Like a market module would be pretty cool.
Cool ship tho! Kraken owners will be happy to see all those assets being worked on for sure.
I'm gonna leave my like just for the 3D Jared at the end of the video. Pure gold.
They should rush to complete a deep space long-expeditionary exploration vessel when there's only one active system...
Maybe work on the backlog before selling a new ship NOBODY asked for. Then update current fleet to gold standard; THEN sell us new ships.
it'll be only useful when Pyro is out, so wait a little longer mate
Since the end of last summer from around when Starfield fumbled and we also got a new SQ42 trailer, the Inside Star Citizen episodes have been putting out banger after banger... shame they're taking a little break
