King Forged Tec all the way. I returned to golf summer ‘21 after a15 year ‘gap’ and have some second hand irons that are fine for now. Once i get better and settled back in I plan to buy the Cobra Forged Tecs.
you won't regret it, absolutely love mine. played the wilson staff c300 forged before these and as good as they where the forged tec are that much better
I bought the new Cobra Forged Tec X irons for 2022. They aren’t even on the website yet as of 3/22/2022. Unbelievable irons! Just can’t wait to see a review on them once someone gets a hold of them. ETA is to arrive in stores by Mid-April.
I’m a huge feel player when it comes to clubs. I use Mizuno blades because “Nothing fees like a Mizuno” is right. This years 221s feel like you’d expect but they sound amazing as well. Sound is feel. SO that being said. I’d use the Cobras because of sound and feel.
I just changed from Ping 710’s to the new Taylormade 790’s ( similar to the Cobra irons conceptually) for 2 reasons which you both mentioned - feel and sound. The Pings were fantastic but never felt good regardless of where the ball contacted the face. Feel improves my enjoyment of playing.
I hit the 2021 forged tec today. Wow. Outside on a range. Very happy. Recently played the p790 on the same range. Not the same..I loved the cobra.much more and it was all about the feel. Would love to see a review of last years vs the new forged tec.
Yeah, they feel great. I just picked up the 2020 forged tecs. In the mail as we speak! A rad speed xb driver as well and a snakebite 60 loft wedge. Couldn’t justify the added cost of the 2022 tecs although they look better imo.
James; You ought to get your hands on a Ben Hogan UiHi Utility iron # 3...Very easy to hit and launch....Replace my hybrid on courses that are hard and tight fairway lies......Do a comparison with this one....Thanks....
Very impressed with the i525. Been playing p790 2017 and 19 versions. These irons are on order after a fitting. Bad hits are much better than the p790. Average distance 200 but I could shape them fine. And hit 170 with a 80 % swing consistently.
Decided to replace my old Cobra F8 irons with the cobra forged tec in the copper finish after first trying P790, PXG, and the Radspeed irons. Not as long as the radspeed but length isn't everything, much prefer the the control they give and the smooth look, pitching into greens low or high is no problem and unlike my old F8 irons they are very predictable. The only downside is the copper finish does wear quickly, I was originally for stiff shafts but went for regs as for me they felt better. Great reviews by the way
I bought the king forge tecs and got fitted for them. I hit them better than anything else id tested during the fitting. I was striking the ball well enough to crack their shells.
Just traded in my Srixon Zx combo set for the Forged tech. I can honestly say I don’t think I’ve ever been so excited by a new club. I’m playing these at a +4.8 HCP too so the better players can romp these bad boys too!
Got fitted into the Forged Tec & received them in time for the wettest & snowiest Dec & Jan in a long time, so they haven't seen the course yet. Loving them in my Trackman league tho. Never got along with Ping irons, so not a tough decision.
I love what Cobra has done lately. Currently gaming Radspeed all through the bag (OL irons) dropped my hdcp from 11 to 5. Hoping to hit a round under par this year
I'm excited to test the new '22 version of the ForgedTec irons very soon. Plan on hitting those and the P790s to see which I hit better. Super excited!
I got the i500's a couple of years ago, after 1 of your comparison vids. Am now trading them for a new set of Orka's, as the feel and sound of the i500's wasn't great....and span very low..
With the better price of the Cobra irons it would be hard for me to justify getting the way more expensive Ping irons. The Cobra Forged Tec irons are just so nice and forgiving.
I just demoed and got fitted for the 2022 Cobra Forged Tec X. And I’m trying to find anything on the internet about these new clubs. I already ordered mine and if they perform like the King’s, I’ll be happy.
I picked up a slightly used set of Forged Tec irons after seeing James's recommendation and Chris's results. They're not quite as forgiving as my Cobra F7s, but definitely more workable.
Currently playing Cobra King Tech, A fitter had me try them, I was shopping for Titleist, Callaway, TaylorMade & Ping Can't believe how well they feel and perform also a great price vs the other makers, win win Now I am a Cobra iron fan, not a fan of Cobra drivers because of the sound
Of the 2 id pick the cobra maybe partly as a kickback to the high prices Ping are charging these days, however it'll be the Mizuno's for me when i change clubs
Dude! You have to try the Homna TR21X irons… I can’t say it enough, they will likely win the battle over these Forged Tec.. 1,000% you could even game the TR21X. The absolute BEST blend of sound, feel, consistency, and forgiveness I’ve ever felt in a players distance iron.
I'm still not near good enough to use anything but game improvement irons but my mate has the Ping i210s and I love to hit those. If I had it to do over again, Id buy the Ping 425s over the TaylorMade Sim Max that I went with.
Don’t sell yourself short. You learn more from having a more player orientated iron. You learn to strike better and etc... game improvement irons are a gimmick to get new players to buy new clubs twice
I'm a Titleist player my self but If i was going to change I would go for the cobra's. Don't know how they feel but judging by this video they sound mosre solid and by the sound of them I would guess they would have more feedback on the shot
I do like this video, I've actually got an iron fitting tomorrow. I use the old forged tec black, long irons and full shots arw fine but when I try and play half shots ir around the green there too hot. This is what I miss do will be hoping for something better around the green
I got the king forged tec in 2020 and they were absolutely fantastic! I’ve got the MIM tour now and my son has the tec. I still hit one or two at the range with the tec and they feel and sound tremendous! I do like the look of the i525 though! 🤙🏻
I've been playing the forged tech for 2 months now and love them, are the MIM's as forgiving ? handicap is trending downwards rapidly of late and love the look of the MIM's😍
If I was in the market for a set of power bats, I would probably go for the Mizuno Pro 225. But if I had to choose between these two, I'd go for the Cobra everytime. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of Ping equipment but the Cobra just performs exceptionally well. And they're cheaper as well. What's not to like about Cobra Forged Tec.
Keep up the good work! Loving the videos! I currently have Ping i210s. Would Cobra King Forged Tec be a good upgrade? A better iron by the looks of it?
Cobra’s all the way , I’m playing f9 irons and Woods and find the forgiveness and lofts help me as a 24 handicap, Forged tec my next consideration. Great video content as usual ⛳️🙌🏼
"I have been using the irons around the greens a lot today and it is 100%, what does that say about the lob wedge". Well young James pretty much what Chris has been saying all year, you don't need to hit every shot within range of the low wedge with the lob wedge. I have been getting much more joy this winter playing different shots with different wedges, irons etc as I too was an addict of the lobber
I love the sound of the forged tec and the 2022 model is supposed to have even better sound. And they look awesome. I believe they come out in the states 4/15.
You should put the Cobras up against the Apex! I went Apex and with a slightly higher loft I felt I had a lot more control, and the feel is ridiculous! The feel and sound won me over vs the cobra. I also did a full bag trial of both for a month, and Apex was far and away the better clubs!
Just going into my second season of golfing here in 🇨🇦. I bought some used I3’s last year but now it’s time to go get some lessons/fitted. Is a Power iron something I should look into?/what is a power iron?
I've used Ping and just didn't get along with them so I'd have to chose the Cobra. I have however just been fitted for the Mizuno JPX 921 hot metal so looking forward to getting out on the course with those 👍
I'd love to bag the cobra forged tech so if your finished with them I'm sure they'll fit lovely in my bag lol I stupidly bought the cobra speedzone irons without testing them they are nice but the I managed to test the forged tech out while getting a driver fitted they felt amazing. Fancy a swap lol
Got fit at TXG tried all the players distance irons. For me it was the Mizuno 225’s launched in the perfect window for my swing, they’re gorgeous feel and sound marvellous. They will have to pry them from my cold dead hands 😂😂
Would like to see you try Chris in the mizuno jpx 921 forged against the cobra irons I think the feel and sound of them would suit him better than the ping irons
James are you going to test the new forged tec irons ?
King Forged Tec all the way. I returned to golf summer ‘21 after a15 year ‘gap’ and have some second hand irons that are fine for now. Once i get better and settled back in I plan to buy the Cobra Forged Tecs.
you won't regret it, absolutely love mine.
played the wilson staff c300 forged before these and as good as they where the forged tec are that much better
Best decision I’ve made. Just switched from the p790s and the cobras are so much better
i525 for me as played with i5's for a very long time and loved them and Ping Irons are just so well made you can keep playing with them for so long.
I bought the new Cobra Forged Tec X irons for 2022. They aren’t even on the website yet as of 3/22/2022. Unbelievable irons! Just can’t wait to see a review on them once someone gets a hold of them. ETA is to arrive in stores by Mid-April.
It was Chris and you that got me to give up my 716 AP2 for the Cobra Forged tec in The copper finish. Absolutely love them and the feel is great.
I’m a huge feel player when it comes to clubs. I use Mizuno blades because “Nothing fees like a Mizuno” is right. This years 221s feel like you’d expect but they sound amazing as well. Sound is feel. SO that being said. I’d use the Cobras because of sound and feel.

Love my copper forged tec. Best irons I have ever owned…will be in bag for a long time
I hit the 2021 forged tec today. Wow. Outside on a range. Very happy. Recently played the p790 on the same range. Not the same..I loved the cobra.much more and it was all about the feel. Would love to see a review of last years vs the new forged tec.

I love watching you and Chris banter back and forth. Great video and I would play the cobra's.
I bought a set of Cobra King Forge TEC irons and love them. Best iron set I have ever played owned. I would say that they are the Perfect Irons.
Just got the forged tec irons last week and love them
Very impressed with the i525. Been playing p790 2017 and 19 versions.
These irons are on order after a fitting.
Bad hits are much better than the p790.
Average distance 200 but I could shape them fine. And hit 170 with a 80 % swing consistently.
Got the forgetech myself and love them, every time you do a video with them you say how good they are. Get em in the bag lad!
I was playing the Cobra's F6 irons and I just bought the Cobra Forged Tec irons 4 thru pitching wedge.. they're awesome!

I bought the king forge tecs and got fitted for them. I hit them better than anything else id tested during the fitting. I was striking the ball well enough to crack their shells.
After trying the Forge tecs, they are the best irons I have ever had a go on... I will be ordering some for sure..
Love my Forged Tecs , feel amazing and great ball flight , couldn’t be happier with them
Just traded in my Srixon Zx combo set for the Forged tech. I can honestly say I don’t think I’ve ever been so excited by a new club. I’m playing these at a +4.8 HCP too so the better players can romp these bad boys too!

Being playing the Cobra's for a year and absolutely love them. Would highly recommend them
I love what Cobra has done lately. Currently gaming Radspeed all through the bag (OL irons) dropped my hdcp from 11 to 5. Hoping to hit a round under par this year
Had mine 6 months now forged tec getting used to them as moved from ping I love em
Just bought the cobras love them such good clubs
I'm excited to test the new '22 version of the ForgedTec irons very soon. Plan on hitting those and the P790s to see which I hit better. Super excited!
I hit both the king forged Tec and the 2022 P790. Both were good for me, but the forged Tec were clicky-er than the 790. Ended up with the Taylormades
Looking into changing from Wilson d7 irons to the cobra forged tec.
What a win. It’s like United v Brighton all over again.
You and Chris make a wonderful team... His dry humor is great!
Love the video. would like to see a comparison of I525 vs. MP 225.
I just demoed and got fitted for the 2022 Cobra Forged Tec X. And I’m trying to find anything on the internet about these new clubs. I already ordered mine and if they perform like the King’s, I’ll be happy.
currently in the i500....But cobras are on the list next year.
I picked up a slightly used set of Forged Tec irons after seeing James's recommendation and Chris's results. They're not quite as forgiving as my Cobra F7s, but definitely more workable.
I currently have a full bag of Cobra clubs... Driver, woods, irons, wedges, and putter...
Currently playing Cobra King Tech, A fitter had me try them, I was shopping for Titleist, Callaway, TaylorMade & Ping
Can't believe how well they feel and perform also a great price vs the other makers, win win
Now I am a Cobra iron fan, not a fan of Cobra drivers because of the sound
Got the forged tech irons absolute weapons
Are the Forged tec x coming out soon??????
I would go with the cobra’s. I am currently gaming jpx 900s but really am interested in the cobra forged tech iron.
Yeah, I almost bought the jpx921 forged irons, but went with these instead and try eh were only $799 4-pw. Better sound and feel imo.
Of the 2 id pick the cobra maybe partly as a kickback to the high prices Ping are charging these days, however it'll be the Mizuno's for me when i change clubs
Great video again lads, I tried the i500 s but went for the PXG 0211 s as they felt a lot better to me .& only £85 a club
Dude! You have to try the Homna TR21X irons… I can’t say it enough, they will likely win the battle over these Forged Tec.. 1,000% you could even game the TR21X. The absolute BEST blend of sound, feel, consistency, and forgiveness I’ve ever felt in a players distance iron.
Love the videos! Very helpful and informative. Still playing Cobra F9's One Length 4-6 and standard length 7-GW. Your making me consider updating.
Thanks buddy! Appreciate the support
Interesting setup, how does it work for you?
Got the olds cobras in 5-pw & the new forged tecs in 2 & 4 iron. The feel is amazing in both
Just recently tried the forged Tec lovely club but for me and what I'm saving up for after being fitted are the p770 s
I would go with the softer feeling iron. Cobra King Forged Tec!
I'm trying to get back into golf after my clubs were stolen 8 years ago and really want the forged Tec
I love my zx5 irons but I would consider the forged tech in the future
James, I hat putter does Chris use? Love the sound of it! Great vids keep it up!!!
An old Ping ans34 mate!
Would the cobra’s be good for a 22 h/c ?
I play the forged tec and I’m off 25 , plenty of forgiveness
Yes mate! ⛳️
Best of 2021? I much prefer the new P790’s to the Cobra’s or do you mean in power bats
Cobra , just bought a set last year👍
🔥🔥🔥
I'm still not near good enough to use anything but game improvement irons but my mate has the Ping i210s and I love to hit those. If I had it to do over again, Id buy the Ping 425s over the TaylorMade Sim Max that I went with.
Don’t sell yourself short. You learn more from having a more player orientated iron. You learn to strike better and etc... game improvement irons are a gimmick to get new players to buy new clubs twice
Love the cobra forged tec irons tried those and the p790s both very good I just prefer the cobras so will be changing when the season kicks off
I have the Callaway apex 19 irons and seeing the past few with the cobra forge tech I’m considering changing them
im 99% sold on the cobras. i just really love the look of the p770. but there is a $330 price difference in canadian dollars.
another great video between you and Chris James keep up the great work.
I'm a Titleist player my self but If i was going to change I would go for the cobra's. Don't know how they feel but judging by this video they sound mosre solid and by the sound of them I would guess they would have more feedback on the shot
Would love to have seen the PXG 0211 DC in this video.
I do like this video, I've actually got an iron fitting tomorrow. I use the old forged tec black, long irons and full shots arw fine but when I try and play half shots ir around the green there too hot. This is what I miss do will be hoping for something better around the green
Cobra for me. I am using the Ping G425 right now
King forged Tec everyday of the week and twice on Sunday
Why is it every time I watch 1 of your iron reviews I want to change my irons 🤣😜
Whichever comes in a copper finish!
Stay with the Cobras Chris. I love my forged tec irons won’t be changing for long time.
Cobra's King forged tech for me.
I really fancy the Cobras but need to check they’re right for me in a fitting. I525 sounds like R2D2s little brother
Really appreciate the support buddy. The i210’s are mega. I would wait personally
Only you would know that
I would like to try the ping . Currently using mizuno
i was fitted a couple months ago on the 525's and the p790's and i went with the 790's the pings are good but something about them didnt fit my eye
I'm curious, how would these two clubs, compare to Takomo irons? I'm almost ready to buy a set of Takomo.
Try the Sub 70 hollow body irons
I'd like to see a head to head between cobra forged tec and pxg 0311
I open this app every day hoping it’s the day that James has the 2022 Forged Tec.
Cobra all the way form but how would they perform against the Callaway apex irons
Cobra’s all the way , I’m playing f9 irons and Woods and find the forgiveness and lofts help me as a 24 handicap, Forged tec my next consideration.
Great video content as usual ⛳️🙌🏼
Which would I use? Neither. I’d much prefer the feel and sound of the Mizuno Pro 225!
"I have been using the irons around the greens a lot today and it is 100%, what does that say about the lob wedge". Well young James pretty much what Chris has been saying all year, you don't need to hit every shot within range of the low wedge with the lob wedge.

Cobra king all day. I have the 3 utility iron and am just waiting for the price to come down before purchasing a whole set.
Is this category of irons for a mid-handicapper? I would like to see the cobra vs the zx5's.
Just going into my second season of golfing here in 🇨🇦. I bought some used I3’s last year but now it’s time to go get some lessons/fitted. Is a Power iron something I should look into?/what is a power iron?
I'll stick with my Tour Edge C721's , good distance , ball flight , workable & nice spin for me , put a Nippon Modus 105s shaft on em
Love ping. Waiting for the next iteration of the i210
Powerbats still the winner. Very tempted by something like these. Any other recommends around this type of iron?
I've used Ping and just didn't get along with them so I'd have to chose the Cobra. I have however just been fitted for the Mizuno JPX 921 hot metal so looking forward to getting out on the course with those 👍
I'd love to bag the cobra forged tech so if your finished with them I'm sure they'll fit lovely in my bag lol
I stupidly bought the cobra speedzone irons without testing them they are nice but the I managed to test the forged tech out while getting a driver fitted they felt amazing. Fancy a swap lol
Got fit at TXG tried all the players distance irons. For me it was the Mizuno 225’s launched in the perfect window for my swing, they’re gorgeous feel and sound marvellous. They will have to pry them from my cold dead hands 😂😂
I’d take pxg 0211 over either considering current price of all 3
Same here, just got a set fitted to me later last year and am chomping at the bit for the warm weather.
Would like to see you try Chris in the mizuno jpx 921 forged against the cobra irons I think the feel and sound of them would suit him better than the ping irons
I would love to see a review and comparison of the new Cleveland XL Launcher irons against the Cobra irons
I play th ping I210 currently. When I tested the I500, I did not like the feel. If the I525's feel like my 210's, I would definitely give them a try.
I have the Cobra forged in the bag! Being 62,might be the last irons I ever own?
Forged Tec X should be released soon. The reviews are already up on golf digest
