I've been playing the forge tec x most of this year and love them! I never struggled with distance with my irons but these bomb out there and are super forgiving!
Bought the Tec a month ago. Super happy. It’s one of the lightest heads I’ve come across. I paired with the recoil 460 esx which is only 67 grams. If you are like me and looking for ultralight swing weights, nothing really touches this club, it’s outstanding. The X was just a tad heavy for me
Finally retiring my Wilson di7 irons (awesomely forgiving, love the fat shafts too) and went with the original forged tecs last week over the new version. Just hit them much better. And they were only $800 US. Added a gap wedge for $100 directly from cobra. Well, tbh, hit them better than g425s, d9s, p790s, Mizuno 225s, hot metals, t200 and 300s, stealths, sims and LTDs and rad speeds lol. It’s been a process haha.
Still playing my old Wilson Di7 FS irons occasionally. And when I do they really surprise me every time how good they still are after 15 years of service. Gamed the Cobra FT’s for about two months and couldn’t get on with them. Inconsistent distances for me personally. Eventually I bought Honma TW747V irons which are absolutely incredible.
I loved the looks of these ! I switched from my jpx 919 hot metals to these,(the x's) but just was way too inconsistent w/them. I really,really wanted to like them.☹️(mid HC) put my tail between my legs and got the Apex DCB's on order !
i may have missed it, BUT do you guys do a summary of performance at the end of the Video's? i'm guilty of skipping through if there is too much "dribble".
Chris, are you ever allowed to lead or be the main role in your video's or does it have to be the James Robinson show? Jeez, if he was chocolate.........he would
I currently play with a vintage set of cleveland ta6's which still do the job! Recently went to get fitted for the forg tec's and loved them! Since then iv bought & played 1 round with them and I'm struggling big time! No real feel & feels hard off the face with little forgiveness!!
I’d love to see the exact same video format but with the new Tec and Tec X a genuine comparison please .. make it happen Chris, and chop chop laddie !!

I pulled apex21 out of the bag for these cobras. They are gone now and have mizuno pro 225 in the bag. I couldn’t get the spin and stopping power out of the cobras 7 iron spin was around 4200rpm for me. I like my irons to spin more and there’s no need in having a 7 iron flying 190 IMO.

What are the lofts?
Cobra posts them on their site. I think the 7 iron is something like 29.5 degrees, so really strong.
