I found out only a few years back that my father prayed on his knees to the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe before my open heart surgery at age 4 (I'm 38 now). I hope one day that I am able to do same to pay homage for her intercession on my life.

She heals people’s hearts and souls and bodies,...
    ..simply because She is there.
    That “image” is alive.
Our Lady is there. Waitting for us, and allways willing to listen to all our miseries..
    And every time we go to Her and ask for help;
Either there or at home in front if the altar..
For guideness, for a miracle in a specific situation; for a grace to face someone or somethig..
First, you fell that really really really have been listened.
That is: you end up beeing consolated.
    And then, later something happens...
Either the situation changes, or you understand the situation in a different matter, so you can either solve it or learn to live with it.
She gives you the gace you need for every situation.
    !She is great!
    She is Beautiful,
    She is Perfect,
    She is The Perfect Example.
    She is ..-The Perfect Mother.-
And the people that goes on their nees is offering something to grant a big favor from God; throug Her.
To thank for a great miracle received... that is; that person went to ask for it and granted the miracle..
    Or,
to pay for a big sin.

As I read some of the negative comments I think to say...friend let go of your anger or your prejudice against the Church and its teachings. Take a breath and open your mind.
The teachings of Jesus include honoring your father and mother. As noted Mary brings people to Jesus. Many who would not come on some other paths. Like the victim of a male may first trust the woman chosen by God to be His comforter and nurturer.
Don't hate someone that God so loved and is the best example for us to follow. As in Revelations. .. the saints are before the throne praying on our behalf. Who better than his Mother to pray for us?
A RUclips comment is not a proper place for large scale conversations but the info is out there as to what is really taught by the Church and why and where we get it. Refusing to see it doesn't change the truth. Remember this too, the teachings of Jesus were given to the apostles and passed on orally for many years before the Church compiled the bible. It was the apostles that Jesus originally gave the meanings of the old scriptures to. They then passed the info and teachings on verbally in person or by letter and representatives chosen by the Spirit. The same spirit that works in us today.
For those who ignore the depth of the topics and jump to some guy who did something bad as a catholic remember that no one left the church because of Judas' betrayal of Jesus and there are many times more good Catholics than bad. You just hear about the bad because it gets ratings.

For 500 years since the image of Mary on the Tilma of Juan Diego came to be. No One (And I mean No Human) was able to do an exact reproduction of this particular Masterpiece. Scientist are even baffled and stumped as many expert analyzed in their limited Scientific understanding and mastery on how this painting ever completed. (Even in microscopic scanning they're just unable to justify it properly and take note it was NASA Research Center with its experts that made such tests and all they can say is the picture is "neither" Painted, Dyed, or Woven).
The other astonishing part is when it was subjected for Thermographic scan. the temperature of the painting is a consistent 37 degress Celsius. The same body temperature of a healthy person.

TRIPS ONE his flag and the tilma are similar but just because its similar doesn't mean the tilma was a hoax carried out by the Spanish in order to trick the natives they has been a lot of scientific research done on the image and vast majority experts believe it's a miracle
      ruclips.net/video/Ds7nD_QNeKA/видео.html
Also if it were just simply a man made image why would this happen
      The Bomb
In 1921, just a few years before the Cristero War, strains between the Catholic Church and Mexico were brewing. On November 14th, a man named Luciano Pérez placed some dynamite in the flower arrangements on the altar (right in front of the tilma, which was behind glass). The bomb went off, and according to author Nicolás Mariscal, "The force of the blast knocked over brass candelabras and bent a heavy bronze crucifix, still on display today. Amazingly, the icon was completely undamaged. The protective glass (not bulletproof) was not broken or cracked. Yet the concussive wave had penetrated the wall, badly damaging the icon of St. John Nepomucene on the other side, just centimeters behind the Virgin." And had broke home glass windows outside the basilica at exactly 150 meters away!!! Which is in miles over 0.9 miles away!!!! Again the bomb was placed just a few feet away from our lady but the bomb didn't affect it even through again it broke glass over 0.9 miles away!!!
Eduardo Chavez, the co-founder and rector of the Institute for Guadalupan Studies said, "the explosion was of such magnitude that it was heard within a radius of one kilometer: the Image suffered absolutely no consequences; not so to the candelabras and the bronze crucifix which were on the altar and were bent in half with the impact".

Prayers to Mary are an intercession. Would you ask your own mother or father, brother or sister even friends to pray for you? I do too. I also ask the mother of Christ. Not only that, but the first half of the Hail Mary is IN THE BIBLE. Hail Mary itself is no form of worship. Hail is to rejoice, celebrate. Hail to the Victors (Michigan).
People will also confuse the sins of man vs the word/actions of God. So, when a leader of an army rapes and kills while holding a flag with the Blessed Virgin on it, you can bet he will get his in the end, but it has NOTHING to do with the intent or original meaning of the image.
So sad to see people demean such an inspirational, unexplainable and holy gift for the sake of their own reality & comfort...
Those who hear the truth, hear His voice.

    • @vizualmrs
      @vizualmrs 6 лет назад

Steven Cullen but doesnt say in the Holy bible there to be no intersession between you and God. For there is no other being like God. To not bend your knee but only to God. Jesus Christ is the only intercession God made for man. His blood and only his blood will save man and has saved man from sin. Yes I'm Catholic but I'm not mexican. From another outside country.

I find it curious that so many find this ridiculous, and find the sacraments and mysteries of the Catholic church to be such throw aways, but are literalist with the bible. I have run the same range of thought as you but have experienced enough of God's healing mercy, the power of the confessional and praying fervently to the saints highly important and critical things for spiritual growth. When you are swallowed whole by sin, or in a very dire health situation, I think you will have a very different point of view. The Monsignor who indicated he believes something is fraudulent is one man whose mental powers tell him it is a fraud. In the spiritual life, can he actually judge that? He can confess to his own actions but nothing to say with certainty that Our Lady is a fraud. Come outside of your head and your ego-filled pride that you can ascertain these things to a certainty. Be humble and pray and you might experience some of the spiritual joy associated with "these things."

@fatherroberto Some more information please. Does it have enough evidence to hold in a court? The problem about something which happened so long time ago, is that it will be very difficult to provide sufficient evidence, since it didn't exist modern documentation methods back then. Anyone can claim that he was an amputee before, but that god healed him.

(I agree with a lot of what you wrote)
In your belief, you have sin until you confess (to a priest) and receive forgiveness. In your belief, what happens to the person who doesn't confess 1 of their sins? (let's assume they miss just 1 sin ... are they unforgiven? What is the eternal outcome of an unforgiven person ... please list bible verses to support your answers)

I admire the way that you disagree w/o attacking, that is rare! I believe that most denom. recognize and make use of the Apostle's Creed which proclaims Faith in the "Communion of Saints" & "forgiveness of sins". John 20:22-23 Christ gave special communication of Holy Spirit to Peter for remitting/retaining sins. While Annointing the Sick, the sick were instructed to confess their faults to one another in James 5:15. Paul exercised this gift in 2 Cor. 2:5-11 & 1 Cor. 5:2-4.

And it wasnt just a couple people here or there it was the vast majority they werent biblically knowledgable what christ did on the cross that salvation comes through christ alone, she is more than an intercedor over there intercedors, if a friend brings me to christ should I make a huge church for him and statues

I love the Blessed Mother but wonder over the whole story of Guadalupe and all the things claimed but one thing really bothers me. If the temperature of the painting were always 98.6F then the world would well be aware of this(because anyone could measure it) and the curiosity in the religeous world and scientific society would increase visitors 1,000 fold. Why doesn't Mexico and the Catholic Church allow scientist from around the world investigate this matter to support all the claims, not just Mexican scientists and one American scientist, Professor Callahan?

They would look to mary for healing and power, even forgiveness not Jesus christ this deeply troubled me.
