I love it when Bishop Barron said this, "When we compliment Mary, we honor her and we praise her, how is God insulted by that? God is delighted by that because Mary is His masterpiece."
@seekouttruths Very well said. God simply wants us to share His divine life in the Community of the Trinitarian Love. The blessed Mother, the two of us and the rest of those who believe in the love and mercy of God, through Christ, are part of this grand design. No loving child of God is left behind. I appreciate your deep reflection. God bless.

Wow, that is one of my favourite songs, listened to it thousands of times, and yet I'm embarrassed to say that I never thought of those words as Mary's 'Fiat'. I've always read that Paul McCartney wrote that song about his own mother, but with this new insight, maybe there's more to the story? 🤔
As an engineer, my response to the challenge that “if it can’t be measured, it isn’t real” is to point out that Love cannot be measured, does that mean that love does not exist. Justice cannot be measured, does that mean it does not exist? Do you, the skeptic hold fast to the position that love and justice do not exist?
@@kelechukwuanosike767 Correction: without Jesus, there is no Mary. He is the Creator, not the only way around. She was the means of him entering humanity. But God could've chosen anybody for that.
@bobpolo2964 Nope!!! As a gentleman as God is, he respected Mary's free will, and she said "yes", be done unto me according to your will! Heretic protestants do not see that! God couldn't have chosen among any of them!!

What a wonderful and inspired dissertation ; I understood more about the mistery of Mary. Thank you both. Mexico, 70 years old, big follower of Bishop Barron.
The Word is Supernatural, it goes beyond everything we can "understand " with our minds or intellect. Only the heart might come to "understand" when we, as Mary, Ponder everything in our hearts.
Ave Maria Truly the greatest woman. My brother has recently been very confused by media news about these very topics; the authenticity of the Immaculate Conception and the Assumption of Mary into Heaven. This podcast will clear his confusion. Thank you Bishop Barron for your dedication to propogate the Catholic faith.
In reply to the lady who asked Bishop Barron why God did not make us angels, instead of human beings. I reference something the Great Catholic Saint, Mystic and Stigmatic of the 20th century, Padre Pio once stated. From an early age Padre Pio could converse with his guardian angel, he told us. Once he asked the guardian angel this question: " What was it about men that made the fallen angels so jealous of mankind that they rebelled against God, and lost heaven ?" Padre Pio tells us that his guardian angel replied with this answer, " Because man can suffer for God ". So one may wonder if there were angels who asked, as this lady did, why couldn't God have made us human ? It is something for each of us to ponder, especially when we are beset with suffering in our lives.
Also, while Bishop Barron brings up the medieval hierarchical understanding of reality, he doesn't bring up one of the most enlightening--and relevant to her question--theories of where humans fit in that hierarchy. Humans, because of their combination of fully free will and *just* enough understanding to be culpable for our actions, but *not* enough understanding to know exactly what the best path is, have a capability that nothing else in the hierarchy of creation has: we can place ourselves anywhere in that hierarchy. Through our choices. an angel can only be a paragon or a demon, but a human's good choices can bring them closer to God than even the angels by choosing to follow God fully despite the limitations and trials of this world--most angels live lives of flawless virtue, but there is nothing heroic about it since they know EXACTLY what to do to live that life, and need face no adversity in doing so. Likewise a human can be as cruel as a demon (though thankfully not as intelligent in their cruelty, at least without demonic aid) or anywhere in-between. Most creatures have their place and must stay there, angels have a binary choice between perfection and madness (for if you know yourself and everyone in the universe will be better off if you choose good but you choose evil anyway for some foolish point of pride, you must be mad), but humans alone in the known creation have the freedom to find a place in the kingdom that is distinctly their own, good but still with constant room to grow better.
Wow Bishop Barron you never cease to amaze me , on the great wealth of knowledge you bring to the table. Im so grateful to God for you Bishop. You have taught me so much🙏🏼🛐
I really wanted to watch the whole show, but I need to flee now. I hope it’ll suffice to listen to the Podcast. God bless you, Brandon and Bishop Barron
In Genesis God says that He WILL PLACE enmity (hatred) between the Woman and the Serpent (satan) and then Jesus only refers to His Blessed Mother as 'Woman'. This is a reference to God's brilliant mind. The proud satan who thinks himself equal to God The Holy One, so God says that it is the humblest woman, a human, and the humblest of humanity, will be the one who crushes the head of the vile serpent. I am sure satan would love us to imagine his enemy is the almighty God, his pride would love losing to God. Now imagine this proud and vile evil one learning that his destruction will be done by this mere human, and worse a woman, and even worse from his pride's point of view, the very humblest of all humanity. So God does not ever see this evil serpent as anything worthy of His slightest concern. God is indeed brilliant.
I tell my Sunday school class that if they ever want to hurt satan, if they want to essentially smack satan upside the head with a brick, say a Hail Mary. Satan is an super intelligent being; he knows that according to nature he can never equal God in power and glory. But for satan to see a being who is his natural inferior enjoy by grace a glory he can never obtain wounds his immense ego considerably.
@Cariss Stewart I guess to put it more crudely in the words of the Nostalgia Critic... “You know they say that every time -Chuck Norris- Mary says ‘Yes’ the devil pisses himself?”
NaYawkr, Good post yes Genesis 3;15 She Mary will crush the serpent's head.Which will be utter humiliation for Satan a Jewish peasant girl crushing his head. Read Judges 4;21 where God does use women to defeat the enemy. 21; Jahel Haber's wife took a nail of the tent also taking a hammer to crush the temple of the enemies of his head. Revelation also talks about a head wound. Satan is aware Mary is the main enemy her seed faithful Catholics. Satan since the 12th century has tried to hide even from faithful Catholics the rosary the weapon that will be used to crush Satan and his minions. Remember David killed Goilath with one stone rosary bead in a sling shot representing the brown scapular of Mary.
Thank you for this. I had never made the connection in the scripture. Amazing. Thank you. I do know that the Hail Mary is a tool for us to use against the enemy. But this is scriptural and beautiful. Thank you.
Maybe my reflections on the dogma of the bodily assumption will be helpful to those struggling with it - or to those who believe it and remain in wonder! The dogma says Mary is perfectly redeemed, the representative of perfect redemption. By faith she received salvation into her body. She has received this salvation entire - for her entire being, to the fullest effect and extent. She is already where perfect redemption is: that region of being which came to be through Christ's Resurrection. As the ideal representative for complete redemption, she must be 'even now' in perfect communion with God. She is glorified in soul _and body._ Thus we can say: Mary lives in heaven in her glorified body, in the bodily community of the redeemed, which Christ instituted. Who she was on earth has been assumed fully into heaven by He Who Is. This has meaning for us all. It signifies that the forces of the world to come have already seized hold of this world. The world is in transition to God's eternity - not just in the body of the Son, who came 'from above', but also in the bodies of those who are 'from below', including the saints. The subjection of earthly reality to heaven, of the unglorified to the glorified, of the corrupt to the incorrupt has already begun - and in some cases it is complete! We can name at least one person for whom the resurrected body is presently, 'even now', her body: Mary. The difference here is that the Protestant views the whole issue as only a promise. Paul's 'we will be raised a spiritual body', 'raised in glory', seems to lie beyond all creaturely reality, in a still unreal future. For the Catholic, the dogma of the Assumption simply sheds light on a state of salvation that is already in existence. It is attributed to Mary in its entirety and fullness because, thanks to her faith, salvation was born unto her and has had its most perfect effect in her. As wholly creature, Mary was at the center of the Incarnation, as she was at the center of the reception of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. It only makes sense that she would assume a central place in the complete, heavenly-bodily redemption, which is vouchsafed for all who believe. (Based on Karl Rahner's article on the topic)
A question to Bishop Barron, "When the days were completed for their purification according to the law of Moses, They took him up to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord, just as it is written in the law of the Lord,.. (Lk. 2:22) Did Mother Mary, the immaculate conception , the Mother of God, require this purifiucation?
Every israelite was obligated to comply with the prescription of the law, Jesus was circumcised, presented in the temple, etc. Mary did not get impure by delivering the son of God, as he was not conceived by human desire " ...He was born under the law"!!! Mary didn't suffer birth pangs either, that was a punishment for human conception!!!
Bishop Barron, have you heard of Our Lady of All Nations apparitions and messages? There is a salvation promised attached to it. What do you think about those messages and about Mary being the Co-redeemer, Mediator of all Graces and our Advocate?
❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 we are all the same person, living life in a bunch of different bodies!! Which means that... Every person that you meet...is really just YOU.... LIVING IN ANOTHER BODY!!! You see...you are INTERACTING with YOURSELF at ALL TIMES! & Once you understand this...you understand UNITY!
I also know that the humility that she acquired that gave her her connection to God and the right attitude to walk with God could have potentially included a body odor problem that created her humility and therefore she was ascended to the heavens through her body I know this by experience thank you
Also when you look up what does the meaning of the name Mary mean it says the bitter or resentful one so I have a hard time believing that the divine feminine went by that name maybe I'm wrong but it seems a little suspicious to me maybe it was the name of someone she knew or what do you mean by Eva and Mary swapping places for balance or something
Mary ,the mother of God .sacrefieced her whole being to God and promised that she would by any cost , keep her commitment for which She is the mother of God .
And by the way, Mary must have "made her voice heard" to somebody, or how would we know what she said to the angel? Presumably they were the only two entities on the scene, so Mary must have reported her reaction to someone...." and then I said to him"...
Thank you for doing this video. One of the reasons I stopped watching Bishop Barron was because he didn’t talk about our Holy Mother enough. Almost rarely, switched to Sensus Fidelum but seems like he still has good content. Thanks Bishop
I once was thaught by my religion teacher that there were four stages to faith: 1. literalist belief of scripture 2. atheism that believes scripture is meant literally 3. atheism that believes scripture is meant symbolically 4. belief of scripture in a symbolic way But this is incomplete. The fifth - true - stage of faith is to actually believe in the impossible, in the miracles performed by our Lord, such as healing the sick, turning water into wine, the ressurection, walking on water, the immaculate and virgin conception... The final stage of faith is to have faith and to dare believe that the word of God can make the impossible possible. Is all of scripture to be taken literally? No, but the gospels aren't a metaphor and cannot be reduced to such.
I just wanted to add that since all the dreadful stuff about our perverted, perfidious priests and bishops have come out, I've been exploring orthodox churches, I think because I am wanting an 'out' to being Roman Catholic sometimes. However, I just learned that the orthodox don't believe in the Immaculate Conception. Bishop Barron's reiteration of the teaching and the reason behind it made me happy to be Roman Catholic, at least in that regard. To me, the orthodox reasoning is a little incomplete but the RC teaching seems to me logical and beautifully honoring to Mary. So thanks for that!
Hi Faith, Keep the faith. Even though humans fail, Jesus doesn't. Keep your eye on him and be the best Christian you can be. We too are part of the mystical body so be the best you can be and foster a deep relationship with Jesus.
I could be wrong, but my understanding of the eastern orthodox churches is that they've always upheld the Immaculate Conception. The larger issue is of their rejection of the Papacy. Jesus created only one Church, Holy and Apostolic, and granted His authority to Peter, despite his failings. There's (thankfully) no legitimate way around that.
I am no expert but I sometimes listen to Sister Vassa's youtube videos on Saturday mornings and she was trying to explain how orthodox theology (she's Russian Orthodox) have a different understanding of original sin which doesn't quite jive with the RC understanding that underpins our concept of the Immaculate Conception. However, while listening to her my puppy kept barking and I was trying to clean my kitchen so I can't say I was listening as well as I could have been! I might have missed something. I do know that I find the Roman Catholic explanation more satisfying and that gave me a little comfort because even though I go to Mass and try to be a faithful Catholic, I am very alienated as well right now which made exploring orthodoxy attractive to me. So score 1 for RC and 0 for Orthodoxy on this particular issue! LOL.
@@faithbooks7906 Faith, if you don't have a Catechism of the Catholic Church I suggest you get one because it's beautifully written and you can pick it up at your convenience. Many people attack what they think we believe. There are many poorly catechized individuals out there and they're very vocal. Loud doesn't necessarily mean right or truthful. We must avoid the mentality of Score 1 for this team vs the other team, because that's a little rooted in pride. We want to get to heaven and spend eternity with Jesus. That's all that should matter and at the end of our lives we will be judged on how well we loved one another and whether or not we helped spread the gospel message which is every Christian's responsibility.
Exactly. God created science and the universe. Created what we learn about and still haven't scratched the surface on. He can make anything reality with or without our knowledgeof it. We think we are some authority because we know a few things. We should be thankful that he allows us to know them. It is through science also that he reveals himself as well. Ok I am so glad I found this video. I was looking for a video about lifting people up in prayer. So I should go pray a rosary to our Holy Mother.
In summary: it is true that like scientists can have an over focus on scientific thought over philosophy at the same time us Christians too can fall into becoming over focused on the spiritual and philosophical over the practical in helping to serve the Marian church community 7 days a week while we then in secret come Sunday morning soon after waking up again are starting to experience not feeling like going to mass at all that day? No I don't believe that it is only us women or only us men who experience that sort of thing during our commitment to remain open to god making us more into an image of god. However I don't blame anyone for wanting to reject that way of describing how to remain open to god's anointing grace whenever speaking to other scientists. I liked studying science in school a lot. It did inspire me to be adventurous in life only to a point. What boundary that point was supposed to be resting on whenever it came to hearing the adventurous musings of another budding young scientist too once was another story altogether.
The immaculate conception, perpetual virginity, and assumption were explained but without much effort to prove from scripture. Are these three doctrines logically deduced by Catholic theologians or is there a direct scriptural exegesis that wasn't described? I don't have a Catholic background but I still very much enjoy the inspiration of bishop Barron.
Jesus didn't write the Bible. No where does the Bible say you should believe only the Bible. The mystery of God is beyond what is written in the Bible. You can't reduce almighty God to a book
God does not call us to honour Mary nor does He express that He has delight from us honouring her. Look, when John fell at the angels feet in complete awe of its magnificence, the angel told him to get up,that he was just another servant of God. Same with Mary, who is another fellow servant of the most high God
@Collins Anosike Hi, yes I understand that you believe God calls us to honour Mary. What I'm wondering is where does the Bible instruct us to do that, and where does it say that God delights in our honouring her? I'm genuinely interested to hear your thoughts, or anyone else's who's might read this!
Hey Bishop Barron, I know that this isn't particularly Advent or Mary related, but do you think you could sit through 2001: A Space Odyssey and offer your thoughts on it? Personally, not a big fan of it, but I'm doing a project on for one of my classes. I had heard from somewhere that a nun watched it when it first came out who said it was one of her most religious experiences. I was just wondering if you agreed and your overall thoughts on it. Thanks!

What about the Angel Gabriel's herald. Hail Mary full of Grace! The Lord is with you. No one else has ever been called that but Mary. She is full of grace. Do you know anyone who was addressed that way by a messager of God himself.
actually the angel Gabriel did not say Hail, full of grace, the lord is with thee. the catholic had made mistake, the angel Gabriel actually said "Hail, highly favored, the lord is with thee." I am not against the catholic and also I love and honor Mary too but I love Jesus and honor him more than anyone. those who hate Christ mother are forbidden to go to heaven. I guess you are catholic and tell others who are against catholic that you don't have to pray to Mary but love her and honor her because she gave birth to our lord and she loved and raised our savior.
@@nuncung8536 The issue is that we now use a more recent English translation. Most of those translations were to downplay the "Hail Mary" prayer. But you can look at Luke's original Greek version and see what Greek Bible scholars have to say about it, or the Latin Vulgate translated by St Jerome in the 4th Century
Science can never define the truth of God,they are narrow in mind, they don't know ,how difficult it is to be faithful,to discover the existence of God is the most difficult task rather than any kind invention.
@@venom24678 I believe the book you're referring to was written by Fr. Michael Gaitley. St. Louis de Montfort is covered in his book. His work is True Devotion to Mary.
This reminds me of the Spongebob meme in which Patrick (The Protestants) just can't accept the obvious. "You believe in the holy trinity? Yes? So you believe that Jesus IS God? Yes? Mary was Jesus' mother, yes? So Mary is the Mother of God!" - Protestant: "No." 🤦🏼♀️
God saved Mary by preventing her from falling into sin! She was preserved so she could conceive tye lordvin her womb. God can not enter in anything unclean!!!
the greatest gift we have is Jesus -_- yes Mary is a important roles for us but do not forget Jesus was our gift. god gave his only son to a humble woman and the humble woman raised Jesus well and loved him. do not put Mary 1st like she is the greatest gift put Jesus 1st because he was our true greatest gift.
I love that the Church pays such close attention to language and diction. V2 was a little vague and left too much open to multiple interpretations by those who never actually read the documents. We should stick to only calling Councils to resolve doctrinal matters.
So I would imagine that at the time of the marriage of Mary and Joseph that It can be assumed that St. Joseph did not issue a complaint against Mary. Of course we are told prior of the dream Joseph had about Mary as well. So at no time did Joseph complain against Mary to call to question the proof of her virginity. He was a KIND man not wishing to harm her EVEN IF she had been unfaithful to their covenant with another man... having his child To explain, Bethrothal was more than just a general engagement. The Israelite Woman was treated as a Bride with love and care even before marriage- even before the man touches her she is considered precious and granted honors as a wife! How lovely! 😊 #lilith #kabbalah #metoo #RCIA #occult #protestant #virginmary #millenials #loveisrespect #RAINN #Thelema #RomanCatholic #Controversial
Numbers 30! Joseph honored Mary's vows to God, that is why he never doubted her virtue and did not want to accuse her of her strange pregnancy, something he did not understand! He was a just man!!!
Calling all protestants, try refute the great Bishop's argument for Mary .. Just wondering when will you ever sit down and listen with all humility. When it comes to sound doctrine, the Roman Catholic faith par excellence, does it best.
@nunya bidness protestants, Catholics, orthodox, anglicans etc. are all Christians. Christians are divided when they're non-Catholic, in Christianity there're Catholics and non-Catholics. If you're not a Christian-Catholic you should be or a Christian-Orthodox, a Christian-Anglican or a Christian-protestant.
@nunya bidness of course Catholics follow Christ, is the center of the entire faith. Without Christ there would be no Catholicism. Also, I wasn't basing on a theological way but to a historical approach so to a more reliable way without involving a theological matter.
@nunya bidness to who are you talking to? Me? Thank you for hoping to me that I'm going to hell if you were referring to me. Between all I'm 16 years old.
@nunya bidness Catholics of course own the Church, but the Bible is owned to all Christians but it was for certain codified in the 4th century by the Church. I in half upstand his statement.
Question: So August 16 2014 at night/morning i almost died because i suffered from a Severe-TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) and was induced in a comma for like 30+ days (i'll ask my rehab doctor, after this covid-19 pandemic is over and i set up an appointment). Anyways: I also suffered from a femur, pelvis and ocular fracture and if i remember correctly. I was dating a Lutheran girl and i loved her so much at that time BUT if i remember correctly, i broke up with my ex girlfriend because of some really important silly reasons. The reasons were: (1) She was not Catholic, she is a Lutheran. (2) When i was in my rehab center in 2014 and later on i left the rehab center and became an outpatient of 2015, she pretty much asked me that if i remember breaking up with her because she wasn't Catholic and because she didn't like to workout (3) i also think this was a stupid reason BUT i also remember breaking up with her because she wasn't a virgin. Neither was i BUT this is a long story, but short story is: I had protected sex with 4 different girls BUT i didn't feel anything because of my uncircumcised penis. Then in 2013 and 2014 i had my first girlfriend ever and in college, i guess i had sex with her. Anyways, she got mad i didn't remember she had told me that she was going to get her extra toe cut off after graduating from MSU. (4) because she had an extra toe (this might be a silly dumb reason BUT later i found out that my great grandmother had a child whom had an extra finger), who eventually died. I didn't want my children to have an extra finger in his or her body OR my grandchildren. (5) i think i also broke up with her because she had anxiety like my little sister, whom also has anxiety. In 2013-2014 my little sister who is suffering with; depression, anxiety and BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder) tried to commit suicide by taking a bunch of pills. I just didn't want my children OR grandchildren to have a higher percent chance of being born with either of those diseases. (6) i'm pretty sure she doesn't believe in God because, if i remember correctly after she told me that i broke up with her because she wasn't catholic. I told her that, that didn't matter because "you at lest believe in God right.?" (7) i didn't get a response from her on messenger/Facebook. i just simply got blocked from her account (8) that obviously meant she didn't believe in God the Father, the Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit! 😓😭🤬😭😓 i'm currently in the process of my Severe-TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury recovery. I know it's a loooooooonng process but with the help of our Lord Jesus Christ, i'll get through this little break. Sorry about the delay but My question is: Is it okay if a catholic man marries a non catholic girl? & Pray to the Holy Spirit for the conversion of my girlfriend/best friend/wife to our Catholic Religion?
School is also expensive 😒. Especially for a female Catholic seminary student. Theology 👋✌️ 🌹🌼 isn't cheap for anyone. Men get all the money. Who is going to marry me, or help me open my school? Indeed, Bishop Barron is the Fulton Sheen of our current time.
@@declansceltic198 Jesus is God. God is One. The catholic church, by the antichrist, caused confusion by introducing a trinity doctrine. God is never the author of confusion. The catholic churches Mary worship also causes confusion, again that doctrine is from the antichrist. If one is a commited catholic he is actually working not for God, but the antichrist. The blindness of the catholic church to God's teachings and commandments eliminate it as the Church of Jesus.

Matthew 1:25 is wrong translation. Every thing about God, Jesus and Mary is not in the Bible. If you don't know that, it is a waste of time talking to you
7 interesting questions: 1.- Is Mary omnipresent? 2.- Can she listen individually and simultaneously millions of prayers like God? (Not just the reflection of the prayers but a personal, intimate, spiritual and permanent relationship with someone) (Or is this an exclusive attribute of Our Heavenly Father, His Son and The Holy Spirit?) 3.- Are those consecrated to her immaculate heart saved from hell? (As promised in Fatima) (Does the devotion to her heart equals the power of The Precious Blood of Jesus Christ?) 4.- Can someone explain the immaculate conception of Mary if the Holy Spirit was not incarnated in her mother Anne? (Is “Ave” and “Eve” all we have to believe this is dogma?) 5.-Are people allowed to go directly to Jesus Christ without the intersection of Mary? (Or they must ask her intermediation to be saved?) (Both are better than just One?) 6.- Why is it dangerous to have a personal relationship with Christ? (like Pope Francis said a few months ago) 7.- What special event happened in 1950 that revealed the Assumption of her body? (How you learned 68 years ago that she never died and was taken up to heaven?) Thank you!
If Bob was going to respond, I’m sure he would have by now. So, here are answers to your questions: 1. NO. Mary is NOT omnipresent 2. NO. Mary is dead, she can't hear you, she's in heaven worshiping God. 3. NO. Declaring devotion and praising Mary denies God glory. 4. NO. A lie can’t be explained, only told. 5. YES, OF COURSE! Hebrews 10:10,10:19,12:2,1 Timothy 2:5 6. NO. It is NOT! What is dangerous? Believing sinful men and the lies they tell. 1 John 1:3 that which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you TOO may have fellowship with us; and indeed OUR fellowship IS WITH the Father AND WITH His Son Jesus Christ. 7. In 1950 sinful men made up a lie and called it truth. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mary is mentioned just 12 times in the New Testament. She is mentioned twice as many times in the quran. Truly! All that God wants known of Mary is in Holy Scripture. Trust Him. Any and Everything else is purposely meant to distract you. Even science hasn’t discovered everything about life, the world and universe. How can scientists rule out phenomena they they haven’t gained knowledge to examine? The universe is a strange place which we know little about, let alone understand.
I was surprised to hear that Mary went on to be a virgin thereafter. I had thought she and Joseph had gone on to have other children. I do appreciate your description of Mary as the Ark or sacred vessel. However, to state that she remained a virgin is quite a shocker to me. It just doesn't seem right at all.
Question: how many people (Catholics) do you think are praying to Mary at the very moment you are reading my question? Is she considered omnicient and omnipresent by Catholics?
If Mary is good enough for Jesus, then she's good enough for every Protestant christians as well. Nothing is taken away from Christ if we honor his mom. Remember that in this temporal order we are the body of Christ and this earthly body of His has an earthly mom who continuously remain supportive of her Child's needs. Not surprising at all if the Son lavishes His mom with the highest respect and honor any loving son could possibly give. Shouldn't we do just the same as brothers and sisters of Christ in Mary? The mere mention of Mary makes you quiver, makes me think you are the children of the serpent under her feet. Anyways, i'm consoled with the idea that the demonic influence that made you leave your Catholic faith with all your hopeless attempts to persuade catholics to leave the true and original Church has been thwarted by the grace and intercession of the Blessed Mother.
I love it when Bishop Barron said this, "When we compliment Mary, we honor her and we praise her, how is God insulted by that? God is delighted by that because Mary is His masterpiece."
I agree. And because Mary is His beloved mom on earth too. Any loving child would be so proud if his mom is acknowledged and respected by everyone.
He waffles. No good teaching here.
God bless.

No matter what you believe about Mary, one undeniable certainty
is that she was human, therefor a creation of God.

Truly the greatest woman.
Your answer to her question makes sense, thank you.

Kudos Bishop,, you reminds me of Fulton Sheen ,, The lovers of Mary,, The Woman i Love.. Be blessed always ..
Yes the greatest woman in history is Mary mother of Jesus .Even a non Christian like me believe that Mary is the greatest woman in history.

A question to Bishop Barron,
"When the days were completed for their purification
according to the law of Moses,
They took him up to Jerusalem
to present him to the Lord,
just as it is written in the law of the Lord,.. (Lk. 2:22)
Did Mother Mary, the immaculate conception , the Mother of God, require this purifiucation?
It was a Jewish custom of the time. Mary was Jewish and would have followed Jewish Law and customs.
Every israelite was obligated to comply with the prescription of the law, Jesus was circumcised, presented in the temple, etc.
Mary did not get impure by delivering the son of God, as he was not conceived by human desire
" ...He was born under the law"!!!
Mary didn't suffer birth pangs either, that was a punishment for human conception!!!
My girl is the greatest woman ever.
This is what they mean when they say that she carried the spirit of God inside of her we all do
I've heard before that she was a Virgo and that's where the Virgin thing comes in
I also know that the humility that she acquired that gave her her connection to God and the right attitude to walk with God could have potentially included a body odor problem that created her humility and therefore she was ascended to the heavens through her body I know this by experience thank you
Also when you look up what does the meaning of the name Mary mean it says the bitter or resentful one so I have a hard time believing that the divine feminine went by that name maybe I'm wrong but it seems a little suspicious to me maybe it was the name of someone she knew or what do you mean by Eva and Mary swapping places for balance or something
"coterminous " - great word, I should start using it.
Geej1138 I noted that one too!
Mary ,the mother of God .sacrefieced her whole being to God and promised that she would by any cost , keep her commitment for which She is the mother of God .
Insightful.
And by the way, Mary must have "made her voice heard" to somebody, or how would we know what she said to the angel? Presumably they were the only two entities on the scene, so Mary must have reported her reaction to someone...." and then I said to him"...
More on women in the Bible please! ❤️🙏🏻

I once was thaught by my religion teacher that there were four stages to faith:
1. literalist belief of scripture
2. atheism that believes scripture is meant literally
3. atheism that believes scripture is meant symbolically
4. belief of scripture in a symbolic way
But this is incomplete.
How about John 6:53?
Is it literal or not?
John 6:66 describes protestants very well, literally!!
They also permit divorce.
It’s all about Mary even for us Gnostics .....Mary the beloved of the teacher
I am a scientist and science led me to God!
I sense in 2021 this will become a very popular video

The immaculate conception, perpetual virginity, and assumption were explained but without much effort to prove from scripture. Are these three doctrines logically deduced by Catholic theologians or is there a direct scriptural exegesis that wasn't described? I don't have a Catholic background but I still very much enjoy the inspiration of bishop Barron.

@nunya bidness what kind of words?
@nunya bidness Catholics of course own the Church, but the Bible is owned to all Christians but it was for certain codified in the 4th century by the Church. I in half upstand his statement.
Interesting, isn’t it, that Eve was formed from Adam’ s rib, and Christ, as the new Adam, is born of Mary, as the new Eve. Quite a reversal.
Believe it or not, couple days ago I've thought the very same thing 😊
Paolo Blake. Thoughts are catching.
@@normaodenthal8009 since the Holy Spirit is the same, same is the truth ☺️
Paolo Blake Yes, the truth of the Holy Spirit is the same, but we often vary in our capacity to recognise and accept the truth.
@@normaodenthal8009 uh mmmm, what do you mean by that?
Mary, the mother of God,is the only matter,if you like to live a wonderful life, love and ask to our mother who can give you peace ........
Science is by nature inductive. Science is helpless in the face of the truly unique.
The reasons were:
(1) She was not Catholic, she is a Lutheran.
(2) When i was in my rehab center in 2014 and later on i left the rehab center and became an outpatient of 2015, she pretty much asked me that if i remember breaking up with her because she wasn't Catholic and because she didn't like to workout
(3) i also think this was a stupid reason BUT i also remember breaking up with her because she wasn't a virgin.
I told her that, that didn't matter because "you at lest believe in God right.?"
(7) i didn't get a response from her on messenger/Facebook. i just simply got blocked from her account
(8) that obviously meant she didn't believe in God the Father, the Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit! 😓😭🤬😭😓
i'm currently in the process of my Severe-TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury recovery.
I can only imagine how Jesus spoils those people who honor, moreover devote themselves to His mother.
So says you.
So says the Church Christ founded!
God bless the Mother of God :) ❤️
@@declansceltic198 God is Spirit and has no mother.
@@francissweeney7318 So you don’t believe Jesus is God, and you aren’t a Christian. When are you converting to Islam?
@@declansceltic198 Jesus is God. God is One. The catholic church, by the antichrist, caused confusion by introducing a trinity doctrine. God is never the author of confusion. The catholic churches Mary worship also causes confusion, again that doctrine is from the antichrist. If one is a commited catholic he is actually working not for God, but the antichrist. The blindness of the catholic church to God's teachings and commandments eliminate it as the Church of Jesus.
@@CatholicDefender-bp7my It is impossible to defend catholicism by The Word of God. The catholic church acts as it's own witness. The act of ignoring God's commandment against graven images separates the catholic church from God. There are many more disobediences, but none more grievous.
What passages lead you to believe Mary was perfect? It also seems fairly clear she wasn't celibate after Christ's birth (Matthew 1:25, Galatians 1:19)
John Doe he was an older man and widower
Matthew 1:25 is wrong translation. Every thing about God, Jesus and Mary is not in the Bible. If you don't know that, it is a waste of time talking to you
7 interesting questions:
1.- Is Mary omnipresent?
2.- Can she listen individually and simultaneously millions of prayers like God? (Not just the reflection of the prayers but a personal, intimate, spiritual and permanent relationship with someone) (Or is this an exclusive attribute of Our Heavenly Father, His Son and The Holy Spirit?)
3.- Are those consecrated to her immaculate heart saved from hell? (As promised in Fatima) (Does the devotion to her heart equals the power of The Precious Blood of Jesus Christ?)
4.- Can someone explain the immaculate conception of Mary if the Holy Spirit was not incarnated in her mother Anne? (Is “Ave” and “Eve” all we have to believe this is dogma?)
5.-Are people allowed to go directly to Jesus Christ without the intersection of Mary? (Or they must ask her intermediation to be saved?) (Both are better than just One?)
6.- Why is it dangerous to have a personal relationship with Christ? (like Pope Francis said a few months ago)
7.- What special event happened in 1950 that revealed the Assumption of her body? (How you learned 68 years ago that she never died and was taken up to heaven?)
Thank you!
If Bob was going to respond, I’m sure he would have by now.
So, here are answers to your questions:
1. NO. Mary is NOT omnipresent
2. NO. Mary is dead, she can't hear you, she's in heaven worshiping God.
3. NO. Declaring devotion and praising Mary denies God glory.
4. NO. A lie can’t be explained, only told.
5. YES, OF COURSE! Hebrews 10:10,10:19,12:2,1 Timothy 2:5
6. NO. It is NOT!
What is dangerous? Believing sinful men and the lies they tell.
1 John 1:3
that which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you,
so that you TOO may have fellowship with us; and indeed OUR
fellowship IS WITH the Father AND WITH His Son Jesus Christ.
7. In 1950 sinful men made up a lie and called it truth.

Mary is mentioned just 12 times in the New Testament.
She is mentioned twice as many times in the quran. Truly!
All that God wants known of Mary is in Holy Scripture. Trust Him.
Any and Everything else is purposely meant to distract you.
God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and inspired Scripture are the TRUTH.
Please trust GOD ALONE, Always! All others are sure to FAIL you!
Grace and Peace to you, God Bless... P.S.: Read your BIBLE!!!
Where in the Bible can I find that Jesus did or didn’t have brothers and sisters?
Even science hasn’t discovered everything about life, the world and universe. How can scientists rule out phenomena they they haven’t gained knowledge to examine? The universe is a strange place which we know little about, let alone understand.
I was surprised to hear that Mary went on to be a virgin thereafter. I had thought she and Joseph had gone on to have other children. I do appreciate your description of Mary as the Ark or sacred vessel. However, to state that she remained a virgin is quite a shocker to me. It just doesn't seem right at all.
Remember that Jesus ask john to take his mother into his home... if mary did have other children why Jesus ask him to do so .
Yes, but if you take it literally like that, you also have to wonder about John. He most likely had a mother and father still living at that time.
Joseph Ryan look up a book online by Tim Staples a former protestant it’s called “Behold Your Mother”
It is a 2000 year historical truth. Am surprised that you were not told the truth. You're fed with lies
Mary
Question: how many people (Catholics) do you think are praying to Mary at the very moment you are reading my question? Is she considered omnicient and omnipresent by Catholics?
Answer: any number of people(Catholics) who realise that loving God doesn't mean scorning his mother
I found out on ACESTRY IM RELATED to Mary bishop
Terrible joke, dont quit your day job man
Mary = Mother = feminine = Chaos : the eternal benevolent potential full of Grace. The eternal virgin.
