@@thedoopa3169 the DJI Air 2s, massive upgrade, once you fly something like that, its very hard to go back to a spark, but still no reason to knock the spark, well built drone for the age
How is it in wind ? And in an area with trees and maybe a few buildings? How does it preform with distance and what happens when it loses connection ? Thank you for any help !!
I have Spark and Mini 3 pro. Spark is still a good drone for learning to fly, photographing and filming. It still takes satisfactory photos and videos. I bought a new battery for Spark from DJI October 2022 production.
Do you have any issues with connection? I was trying to take some pictures of my friends house that he’s building yesterday and the connection was horrible. The video feed kept cutting out and even the controller was losing connection. The drone was only 20-30m away from me. It was a residential area so lots of wifi. Any way to fix this?
Do you know what region version of DJI Spark you have, FCC or CE? The CE version sadly has a lot of frequency restrictions, causing very short range sometimes. I sadly have the CE version, despite living in Australia (which in the DJI Sparks case, is supposed to be the FCC version), but it was bought from outside of the country.
@@Jai.zTechDomain I live in New Zealand so pretty sure it’s the CE version. I’ve been thinking about upgrading to a Mini 4 Pro but I don’t know if I trust it. My experience with the Spark has been nothing but poor connectivity.
@@The.JZA.from my experience with the DJI Mini 3 Pro and Air 2s, I haven’t encountered any connection issues compared to the spark. The spark uses an old wifi connection, which is just straight up bad, whereas the newer drones use O3 and O4, which is miles better (literally). And makes the connection so much smoother.
Thinking about grabbing one of these for £120, is that a decent price? That's from CEX and the prices is similar on eBay but obviously without the 24 month warranty.
That seems like a good price, even better if it includes the fly more kit. If your looking at getting really into drones, I’d probably get something like the DJI mavic mini from cex, in my country, cex sell it for like $80 more. Otherwise go for it, the spark is a great beginner drone! I’m thinking of making a new video soon talking about how the spark is getting a bit older, even though it’s still a great drone, but for people who want to actually use drones for work etc, it’s probably not the best option anymore if you don’t already have one.
@@Jai.zTechDomain Thanks for the advice mate. I'm UK based and just browsing at the moment. Just want something cheap to use while I'm out wild camping and to let my young daughter use over the summer etc.
Mavic Mini is another great drone! I would recommend the mavic mini over the spark if range and a 2.7k camera are more important to you, if you want obstacle avoidance, more beginner features, and you are ok with a HD 30fps camera, the spark is better

How is it in wind ? And in an area with trees and maybe a few buildings? How does it preform with distance and what happens when it loses connection ? Thank you for any help !!
Wind isn’t a problem for these drones, super wind resistant, distance is tricky as they made a few models for different regions, the FCC version used a WIFI connection with about 2kms of range I’m told, however mine is the CE model which only gets around 500metres in an open environment with a few trees in the way.
@@hughie7545 I’m probably not the best person to ask about this, but I’ll give it a shot. If the drone was bought it USA and most other countries, for DJIs sake they fall under FCC antenna guidelines. If the drone was bought in European countries, then it falls under CE. That’s a rough guide anyways. I believe there are some workarounds that manually change the frequency that the drone is flying on, but most of them are either super sketchy or don’t work. My DJI spark is the CE model despite me living in Australia (which DJI classifies as an FCC region for the Spark anyways), as mine was purchased overseas in a CE country. But my other drones (mini 3 pro and air 2s) are FCC as they were purchased in Australia. Although I’m not sure the regions actually change anything with range on the newer models but don’t quote me on that. Hope that somewhat helps!

What app do you use because the fly app is not on the android play store
The DJI Go 4 app. You will need to download the APK from DJI’s website
Who here has the secret to connecting to the app, the spark isnt listed on fly, and previous apps are now discountinued??
You can download the ‘DJI Go 4’ app for android from DJIs website. Or from Apple App Store on Apple devices
