Hey guys! I finally try a PRS guitar, I've wanted to play one for the longest time, In the beginning i did a little cover of When i need you by Leo Sayer. Here are my thoughts in this one, the PRS SE 24-08 in Eriza verde. Thanks to PRS and Guitar World for this.❤❤

I have a PRS SE CUSTOM 24 in a Tobacco Burst with the same flame maple top, mine was made in Korea and I do love it. I purchase it new about 4-5 years ago and yes everyone rave’s about them and yes they are up there in price, but they don’t hold their value if you are going to sell it to a music store or try to trade it in, I paid around $800.00 new and two years later I brought it in to just see what it was worth and the music store offered me $200.00 for it in like new condition (it’s never been out of my house or banged around). Like I said I love the guitar and not selling it, just letting you all know what I’ve encountered. Great video, loved your playing!! 🎸
If you ever decide to sell it, you can try the used market like Reverb in the U.S. If you sell it to a private party, you should be able to sell it for around 25% to 30% less than what you paid for it in really nice condition. That $200 offer by the guitar shop was definitely too low for a really well maintained guitar. That's how they make their money. Buy it from you for $200 and sell it to someone else for $600 after cleaning it up and doing a set-up on it and new strings, if they even do that.

Took me a minute before I thought “ah, Leo Sayer!” Beautiful playing. I just got one of these and they are fantastic instruments. The switching options are not a gimmick at all. Very useful and intuitive. Plus, that neck single coil, bridge humbucker combo is sweet!

the guitar has such an amazing sound
Most of the sound is coming from the amp + settings actually. Guitar probably only accounts for like 10-15% of the sound typically. It is a very nice sound indeed though!

I absolutely love my green 2408! The frets and fretboard are absolutely phenomenal! The array of times it's capable of is unreal and never ending at times it seems. I threw some clear ce style knobs on mine and love the way it looks.

I think it's my favourite one of you playing Helen, the song is so sweet and full of emotion and you play so beautifully it's so so so amazing, almost as if the guitar is crying, weeping tears.
