- Hi friend! thanks for joining me today! i'll share some thoughts that I've developed through the experience of owning this guitar for a little over a year now.
I hope your day keeps getting better and better! 💜 Развлечения
You just said all that was on my mind about this guitar. I remember watching a review of it and being blown by it, and now all i do is find more reviews of how people love this model
🤣🤣🤣 I do too, it’s like reassuring. Also, it’s nice to see how many people complain about it (not many at all) the more I use my SE the more i like it, I use it in so many videos! 🤣anyway, thanks for your comment Friend, I appreciate you! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Thank you for doing this! ❤️🙌🏼
You’re welcome!! Thank you for your support! 🫶🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
@@ItsjorgelanzasPRS uses .09's for warmer tone.
Thanks for the great, honest, informative review. Plan to watch again after mine arrives this coming Wednesday. PRS has 20% off these through end of year.
Thank you for your nice comment!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼 I hope you get a good one and that it meets all your expectations!!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻 what color did you get???
@@Itsjorgelanzas Faded blue! :)
Nice!! 🤘🏻
This is a great review! Really like your personality too, good tones and great quality. Subbed.
Woohoo! Thank you for your nice comment friend!!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻 I hope you find more videos that you like!!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Wow that's a beautiful example of this guitar. I have a Paul and I was impressed with mine as well.
Thank you! 🙌🏻 I would love to try a Paul!!! What’s your favorite thing about it? What keeps you picking it up?
My favorite thing is the versatility of the pickups. With the coil taps into 2 little toggle switches and the pickup switch it's easy to switch and know what you're configuration is. With 8 different ways the sounds you can get are endless. I am 66 and have been playing for 57 years. I also have over a dozen guitars. These PRS guitars have definitely left an impression on me especially for the price point of the SE.
That’s awesome! Thank you so much for your comments! I appreciate you sharing your experience!
Awesome video. I have the Eriza Verde 24-08 on the way right now. It’s supposed to be here tomorrow. I can’t wait to see what kind of times I can pull out of this guitar!

Oh man!!!! I wanted the Eriza Verde but they didn’t have it in stock!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻 let me know how you like it too!! Congratulations and thanks for your nice comment!
You’re welcome. I dropped a nice comment because I enjoyed your video. Thanks for making it. I was pumped waiting on this guitar and watched just about every video I could about it. Lol. Have a good day man
It showed up today and I’m already in love with the guitar. It plays like a dream right out of the box. Fit and finish is amazing and that Eriza Verde color is nuts. So cool. The flamed maple veneer top is beautiful as well. Honestly at this point I couldn’t be happier. I hope I feel this way 6 months to a year down the line.
@@LowHybred09 Hello Jason i was just wondering how do you like your guitar after roughly 2 weeks?
IVE JUST BAUGHT A PRS SE CUSTOM 2408 ERIZA VERDE. AND JUST WATCHED YOUR VIDEO. CANT WAIT FOR MY GUITAR TO ARRIVE
LETS GOOOO FRIEND!! Great choice, ever since I did this video, the more I play it, the more I love it! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 for the price there’s ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ELSE OUT THERE THAT MATTERS 🤣🤣🤣 congratulations!!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
If somebody gets a PRS that is not stable when using the Trem, I took mine apart and some of the 6 screws had metal shavings where they didn't clean the holes out after drilling them. Also, the screws are molded and not machined and they are not always straight. I improved it by cleaning the holes and the slots in the screws, but wound up going with a nice MannMade trem. Much better quality for sure. Wound up changing the tuners and swapped the pickups for Seymour Duncan Hot Rodded pickups. It's a much better guitar than when I got it. Oh, and I roughed up the neck with some green Scotch-brite which was a huge improvement for no cost. I still need to deal with the scratchy pots, but that's an easy fix. I agree that's it's a great guitar if you are willing to tweak it.
I’m glad you got it just right for you!! And Thanks for all the useful tips my friend!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻 I’m still due to change the tuners, but It can wait 🤣 it has for like 2 years already, it can keep on waiting lol
Great video. Thanks, and Greetings from Chile!
I’m glad you liked it! 🙌🏻 Thank you for your comment!! Greetings all the way to Chile!
I plan to buy one and the first thing I was going to do was changing strings right away. Glad I'm not alone to think the same :D
Me too!!! Thanks for sharing that!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 I hope you get a good one that you love!! 🔥🔥🔥
I agree on the bird inlays👍👍

Great review. Luckily I didn’t have any issues with my pots or switches after coming up on a year of ownership. Funnily enough though, the shop that I purchased mine had set it up with 10s and I had a hard time bonding with the guitar until I swapped to 9s. I almost exclusively play Japanese Ibanez and ESP guitars strung with 9s (even for drop D. I use my Axe FX or Digitech Drop pedal if I need lower tuning)so that’s probably why I prefer lighter strings. I think I might switch to Seymour Duncans though, the stock pickups are a bit sterile/thin. I can’t put my finger on it but I like a thicker sound and changing my eq settings doesn’t quite get me there.
I’m glad you liked your guitar!! Maybe SD is the answer for you friend! 🙌🏻🙌🏻 I can see why you like 9s they’re so comfortable to play, almost effortlessly! I love it!
I have this guitar and love it. If you’re choosing between this and the regular SE Custom 24, I can say that the bridge humbucker plus neck single coil combination is probably worth the extra money, plus I tend to agree with others who say these pickups sound a tiny bit more vintage than the others. It’s a very fine guitar and hits the sweet spot in terms of bang for your buck. It’s far superior to cheaper guitars, thus justifying the extra money, but close enough to much higher end guitars that you won’t feel bad about not spending more.
Great comment Chris! I’m happy to see that you got a good one too! 🙌🏻🙌🏻 man, I’m still debating about putting the USA pups in this guitar lol I’ve gotten so used to it that I’m afraid it won’t be “better” 🤣🤣🤣 what would you do?
@@Itsjorgelanzasio lascerei i suoi pickups , scuadra vincente non si cambia !
What's cool about this model is that there's two versions. The "standard" version, and the "Custom" version which is slightly more expensive and what's on display in this video. The "standard" version is about $749, and is basically the same guitar with only minor differences (and, in my opinion, better colors like the dark translucent blue). Cool stuff!
I agree! The standard is a great option, the big difference to me, would be the pickups. Cause the standard has the only generation of PRS “S” style pups, without the TCI process, they’re still good, just not “as great” when splitting the coils! Thank you for your nice and insightful comment! I’m sure it will help lots of us! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
For the Fender scale 9s work..i used to hate them always used 10s on my strats but as you get older .....9s work better my hands dont hurt so much. With PRS 25 inch 10s make sense slinky and more tone makes sense. thanks for the review
I think you’re right. I have a tele with 9’s and I’ve been really happy playing it and pressing softer. Thanks for your thoughtful comment!
the only mod I did was put on locking tuners. It’s taking me time to get used to playing nines again. Great guitar but it takes a while for everything to settle so you will be making truss rod adjustments
That’s true! it does get a bit better with time. I still feel like this is not a touring guitar. Seems to need a bit more adjustment depending on the temp and humidity! And, I didn’t like 9s on this guitar, but it works really well with 10s for me. Thanks for your comment friend and please have a great weekend!
❤ magnífico 😊

Excelente presentación 🎤
Gracias papá!!! 🫶🏻🫶🏻
10-52's do an amazing job of tightening up the low strings.
I agree!! Thank you for sharing this with us!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Nice Vid! What amp are you using?
Thank you!! It’s Amplitube, For cleans I’m using a Boogie California Tweed. For distortion it’s Engl Powerball. 🙌🏻
Is this good for shredding? I’m thinking about picking this for playing shred stuff.
I think you can definitely shred on it, if you’re doing like fusion shred, 100% go for it. But I feel like if you’re looking for a metal shred machine, maybe a Charvel is more suited for that. I’m gonna review one soon! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
👏👏👏😍

buena revisión... nuevo en tu canal.
Gracias por tu comentario! Bienvenido!
I just played some SE's this weekend in a store close to the town I live in, and I will say the biggest distraction was the feel of the strings on them...they felt like great guitars with not so great strings on them...I know it would cost some, but I think if I was a store owner, if I thought the strings on the guitars in the store would run the risk of a no sale vs a sale, then I would change them out...just an opinion. Thanks for the video.
Exactly my point!! That’s why I say that they should put. A great set of 10s on it. It’s literally day and night!!! Thanks for your comment friend!!
How does it compare to a DGT
That would be a great comparison!!! Maybe I can make that happen later this year!
That shirt is 🔥🔥🔥
I guess the guitar is nice too 😂
Thank youuuuu!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Gives me a headache
@dougwtoon wait, the shirt or the guitar? 🤣

So you are no longer druming?
I do! 😄 Just not like I used to. Not my main thing anymore.
Most people use 009 so it wouldn't make any sense to put 10s on them. I've been playing for 40 years. Tried 9s over the years and always hated them. I go with the same philosophy as Billy Gibbons, Brian May and many others. Don't make it hard for yourself.
Thank you so much for your experienced insight! Have a great day
@@Itsjorgelanzas I wish I could say the same.
🤔
🤣🤣
@@Itsjorgelanzas People who play with 10s rarely have a good day.
I've admired these for a long time so I finally bought one after playing fenders forever. It takes some getting used to because the extra frets are much.closer together. But I'm getting used to it and it's a quality guitar and I keep going to it but I was not expecting such a hard time with it. The neck is almost identical to my fenders but the frets are much closer together because there's 24 of them but it's a keeper.
I ABSOLUTELY GET YOU!! 🤣 it really feels like everything is closer together!! Specially coming from a strat!!! It takes a solid 5 minutes to get to it back and forth! Thank you for sharing this I think it will be useful for everyone watching this video!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
The zebra pickups is to show the "Student Edition" that there are 4 coils that can split/tap. hence the visible switches too. And maybe, that's why it has .009 for overseas shipping reduced tension? and easier student playability when learning?
Thank you for your input!!! It makes total sense!!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻

Awesome, thank you!
Mine has the ugliest top ever. I bought it too soon. Regretted
I can imagine. 🥲 if I were you buy a figured guitar, I’d buy it from a store with pictures or go see it. It’s an important aspect of a figured top guitar, too important to leave it to chance or good luck. Sorry for you friend. At least it sounds good!

Why buy something you have to change everything it's a ripp off don't waste your money!
I’m sorry to hear you had such a bad experience! What would you recommend? Instead? Thank you
