Dude...What the hell? All reserved throughout the demo until the solo and then BOOOOM. What an amazing solo at the end. Goosebumps, truly.

My dream guitar! I had a Standard PRS SE just before going to college back in 2014, but sold it when I was struggling financially. I've been heartbroken ever since. I just ordered my new one today after trying it out at a store recently. That guitar plays like a dream, looks so good and is SOOOO versatile. Amazing instrument!

Excellent demo. Great explanation of the electronics.
I bought a PRS SE Mira a couple weeks ago. I was also considering the SE Standard 24-08. I was very impressed by a Mira demo done by a PRS employee. That's what really sold me on the Mira.
I must say, had I seen this demo instead of the others I watched, I would have the blue SE 24-08 instead of the Mira. This demo was so well done!
I'm going to sell my Epi Les Paul Classic and get the 24-08!

Thank you for this real demonstration of an instrument not a demonstration of virtuosity, now I know what I can expect from this guitar and since I cannot try it, you have provided me with all the information I could hope to do my choice... I'll order it. Nice bits to end this video, what amp did you use.

several comments below re treble bleed and at 1:28. I just bought this exact model and love how it plays but when I drop the volume the treble/high end drops off very substantially. I just want to drop the volume and not change the entire sound and tone.....is this typical????

Wow! You can not hear that the power between humbucker and "single coil" mode, in the tapped mode is half of the volume at tall. It just sound brighter in tone like a single coil compared to a humbucker would be. I have never been that fond of coil split sounds, but I must confess that PRS is one of the brands that almost nail it. They are really close to make guitars that have that perfect blend of Gibson Les Paul and Fender Strat.
If you are a beginner or an intermediate guitarist and you could at the moment only buy one guitar and want to play a little bit of everything, PRS SE Standard is the way to go.
It also has the best tremolo when it comes to keeping the tuning in check after using it.
Has anyone got the tremolo to float so that you can bend the trem arm outwards from the guitar, making the pitch/tone brighter ?

I'm just a nobody, but I'll say this, me and my cousin went to Guitar Center the other day and he bought a Gibson Studio Les Paul and they had one of these on the wall (same blue color too), while he was shopping around and dealing with the checkout process, I was playing it and let me tell you, when we got home and he was showing off his new Gibson to the family, (we all live on a shared 10 acres in the country) and he had everyone that plays (all 3 of us lol) try it out and while I was playing it, he asked me how nice it was and I told him "Yeah it's awesome but I'm not gonna lie, I'd take that PRS Standard 24-08 over it any day."
My cousin has a bit of an ego, needless to say he was NOT thrilled when I told him I liked a $730 entry level PRS over his $1700 Gibson... Lmao

Trying to figure out what’s the differences between a standard SE-24 and an SE 24-08, other than the toggle switches vs push pull pots? I’m eyeing a PRS 24 and I’m trying to figure out why the 24-08 is $300 USD more. I don’t thing the toggle options make it 50% more than an SE standard, but I can’t find much else different between the two.

I think you might be right! Not much difference between the 2. Perhaps the pick ups might be different, and the switches make the 24-08 a bit more versatile. But besides that, same guitar. I’m waiting for my 24-08 to arrive on Monday (after regretfully selling my S2)
