What an awesome waterproofing system. I've been doing bathroom remodels for more than 6 years and I've always combined the mud job with the shower pan liner and red guard. I think it's time to change

Winni- I saw the work-along class featured on the website you linked .. I’m interested. But I’m ready to do my shower immediately. I have a few questions . What type of mortar / adhesive are you using , is it included ? Where can I buy it? How easy is it to puncture the fabric ? What can you do if this was to happen ? Who makes this? I have never heard of GURU before.

Can you cut your curb for a less reveal? 2 inch height instead of 4?

Is this only good for ceramic tile or can you set stone on it marble granite slate, etc.

i bought this system, and i am going to attempt to install it myself...what size screws are u using?
also what if you have solid back walls already, do they need changed out for green board or will the membrane protect regular drywall? and I have never heard of uncoupling membrane before. Cant membrane be used around toilets and sinks on floors? I am thinking of using this to build a base around my washer and dryer, sinks as well as toilets....
Why isn't the adhesive included in the kit? How do you do a flood test?
Not impressed with Toolocker. I ordered Guru shower membrane on 5/9/24, a week later, still has not shipped, no one answers the customer phone number, no text message reply, I did get an email reply today the order is now being shipped.

I noticed when you cut the drain hole you centered a joist. how do you repair this? im doing this in my modular and am sure that will be just my luck

I called customer service, I have to say this company has outstanding customer service to questions about this kit...i called in reference to the screws, the kit does not come with screws no big deal.

i'd much rather hang foam board, flofx drain, mud bed and sheet membrane the pan.
U didn't put thinset on side of showerpan where it meets curb, fail!

Horrible system. Much better systems that would take an hour to get done from framing to waterproof. Done and start tiling the same day. With all those over laps of corners, corners, bands sheet membrane! Omg. Crazy..... Oh and did anyone see how flimsy that drain was when he was pushing on it! No way
