About: In this video, I talk about the Japanese exclusive set of Pokemon cards known as the Vending Series, or more officially, Expansion Sheets. These amazing vintage Pokemon cards are ready to be peeled, graded, and added to your collection.
Man so cool that its linked to the original games.. im impressed and sad that i will never own any of these sheets. Thx for the video
Incredible video! I really enjoyed this one since I started collecting the vending series not too long ago. Do you think you could make a similar video on the VS series? There aren't a ton of detailed videos for that one on YT
Thank you! Yes, a VS video is on my list :)
this channel is going to blow up dude, plenty of people focus on the TCG but i don't think i've ever seen a channel focus on the history of the cards. love the videos and i hope this channel continues to grow
Thank you so much
By far my favorite sets of all time! I´m so happy that i got my hands on the original 3 vending series sets a few years ago. Personally my most valuable collection piece
Straight up the best set of all time, for collectors that is
Amazing video as always. Would love to see a video with all the different types of vending machine cards over the years. The art is always so interesting, and they’re my favorite Pokemon cards to collect!
I really enjoy your content!
Though the legendary birds in the glossy vending versions are cool, I still prefer my foil Quick Starter legendary birds
Another fantastic video! One of the few channels I have the notification bell ON for.
Thank you! It’s an honour
So, so interesting! I loved this video and learned so much! The Vending Series is truly one of the all-time great sets!
I found the Bulbasaur and Raichu from the vending series at a local sawp meet when i was 8 or 9. Still have them all these years later, and they're still some of my favorite cards of any collections i have. 😊
What a great video on vending! I love this set so much! Thanks so much for making it!. One tiny error I noticed was the image shown for the Quick Starter Set was instead the first Intro Pack (also a pretty cool product)..
Thanks for the correction! I saw this too after uploading :( lol
I love vending series! been collecting them since 2014. Artwork is just too good
This must be one of your best videos to date, what a great insight into the history and lore of some of the most unique pokemon cards out there. Love it!!
Thank you so much! I feel like I levelled up with this one
Thank you! my favorite set of all time
This is awesome. Always great to hear the story behind the cards.
I would consider cards with the pokeball logo, including: Vending, Mail-in, Corocoro, and the WHF/CD promos all part of the same set. Atleast, that seems to be whats indicated by a set symbol.
I feel the same way. I’d def collect them all and put them in a binder
That's interesting, were vending promos glossy because they were glued onto stock? Never thought as to why they were glossy, figured it was just a promotional thing but this makes more sense.
I think it’s just the old school Japanese card stock. Lots of old Japanese promos are glossy like the corocoro promos
I started collecting deez sets back in 2000! I once had the three Mystical Birds - all holo foils‼️
That’s amazing! The holo Articuno is on my list but I haven’t bought it yet
I'm not sure why TPC/WOTC refused to localize (most of) the vending series or VS series and instead gave us Base Set 2 and Legendary Collection; it's a genuine shame we'll never get those cards released in English.
I know Base 2 and Legendary were made specifically to reprint good cards for the tcg players, so maybe they didn’t want to bring over any dull cards from vending that didn’t perform well competitively.
Double-checked my card collection and found the vending machine cards: mr.mime, aerodactly, and recently got the raichu!
The Aerodactyl is incredible!
ive got lots of these
There's a guy on eBay who's sold like 600 sheets. IDK seems like they're fake to me.
I think I know who you’re talking about!
I love the Eevee.
What a sick set
So cool
Loved the vid
Is the 4th card Pikachu worth anything? I have one of them, from the peel sheets, from when they were being vended, originally. Peeled it off the sheet myself.
The Ooyama pikachu? Yes they aren’t super expensive but they definitely aren’t cheap

Fancy. I may have to get it graded. I know exactly where it is.
Thank you for explaining this. As someone who pulls random vintage Japanese bulk, I always wondered where these cards came from.
Far and away my favorite set! I collect a little of everything, but this is one of the very few things on my 100% bucket list
No sleeves?
I have a graded Gift Set squirtle! I adore the art so much, great video c:
Pokemon go before pokemon go???
Pokémon stop
Great video!! 💯
