There is a library full of research suggesting a higher than RDA intake of protein benefits athletes, especially strength athletes. Intake as high as 1.5 grams and in some cases 2 grams per pound of lean tissue can benefit strength athletes. The source of protein is also a factor. Protein is of the most benefit when all essential amino acids are present, which are most easily obtained from animal sources. Plant sources can be combined to obtain the proper amount and quantity of the eight essential amino acids but it can be challenging on several levels. The speed of digestion may also be a factor when considering how much protein to consume in one meal. It is generally thought that 25 to 35 grams is the maximum one can utilize in one meal. This is likely a reasonable ballpark number for a relatively easy to digest source like protein powder isolate but the numbers are likely much higher for very slow digesting foods like a beef stake. The level of a person's digestive enzymes also play a role in determining the amount of protein their body can use in one meal. The research is pretty clear, in the case of tissue and bone repair testosterone can not be fully effective without the presence of adequate nutrition including protein and strength athletes need considerably more than RDA to obtain the best recovery. It is also well known that a massively high protein intake like 2.5 grams and higher per pound of body weight is of no benefit and in some cases might be unhealthy if consumed over a long period of time.
The 25 to 35 grams is the maximum estimated to be used for muscle protein synthesis within a 3 to 4 hour timeframe. We have no information on total protein absorption limits, only that different sources absorb at different rates.

Yeah, but... you have to consume a whole lot of protein to get near that limit. Like hypernatremia, it's a condition that most people are too far away from having to worry about.
It would be very difficult to go into a state where you could not urinate out the excess protein. It would have to be an awful lot of protein. Enjoy your protein.
Is there a connection between high protein diets and inflammation? When I up my consumption to a gram per lb of bodyweight, I immediately see an increase in joint and tendon pain.
I agree. NO CONCERNS THERE. Notice the key word is THEORY! Uh yeah. I think it would be safe to say anyone trying to make this point has ulterior motives
@agesflow6815 I wake up to a smoothie blended with seamoss for breakfast. For lunch I eat seeded grapes and watermelon. For dinner I would eat some quinoa, zucchini and mushrooms

Athletes also rely on carbs just as much as fat protein and fiber

I love eating lots of protein in all forms. And I'm a member of PETA. People Eating Tasty Animals.
Good shit bro. I have AIDS
This sounds like a situation where in theory it is possible, but it would be unrealistic to occur in real life.
Thank goodness! I'm a meatosaur!!😊 Gotta have my meat! I eat vegetables too but meat is the main course. Love Eggs too!!
Eggs are where its at!

Too much protein is not the reason for the low t scourge. That’s the last thing we need to be worried about.
Thousands of combinations of everyone's different chemistry and then daily life 🥺
We don't have different chemistry.
@@huhwhatomgWe have different gene expression which affects many biochemical processes. So yes, we have different chemistry.

@huhwhatomg Agreed. Most things will work mostly the same for most people. Different but not really.
more likely caffeine consumption leads to higher cortisol production, which requires more pregnenolone, which is used to make DHEA and Testosterone.

Amino acids don't make nitrogen. It's the opposite. Amino acids contain nitrogen.
OMGOODNESS DR ALWAYS AMAZING MUCHO MUCHO CALIENTES 😘😘🌶🌶🌶❤️❤️❤️❤️🔥❤️🔥🔥🔥😍🥰😍
Where does protein excretion fit into the equation?
Yeah, I like 300g of protein for the average sized men... Nonsense as that is like 2kg of meat a day.
Can i eat testosterone and not worry about protein though?
😂😂😂😂
I did 3 gr+ per body weight in kg I feel like it lowers test
AI says testestorone inhibited if 3.4g/kg per day of protein , otherwise beneficial even anabolic before that limit
Not for women tho…
Has long as the pee is clear & not neon yellow its safe to say you're ok
yellow urine indicates a low electrolyte or dehydration issue.
Urine color isn't a good indicator of hydration and can change color based on what you eat or drink.
Infact a high protein intake also lowers SHBG, which allows for more free testosteron.
👍👍
