You can see how scared Mandy is when she gave that hug. I'm glad Meemaw is giving her the right kind of support.
Recall how Meemaw got Missy on the baseball team? Meemaw is not to be underestimated. But this really reinforces her strengths.
In laws are scary, mine are always looking for a way to destroy me. They appear super nice and when you start to love them, use every bit of vulnerability you shared with them against you. Can see why she is hesitant lol. Maybe she had a bad experience already. She is older.
Me too. I’m curious to meet her parents in the show if they show up.
If I were Mandy I wouldn’t trust someone like Mary. She’s being too pushy with religion and marriage. If Mandy doesn’t want to raise the child to be religious I can see Mary becoming manipulative. She’s also a bit of a basket case.
Scared? BULLSHIT. SHE LET HIM raw dog her. SHE chose to have unprotected sex DURING OVULATION. Women's Hypergamist Solipsistic nature refuses to accept responsibility and pretend she IMMACULATELY CONCEIVED ROFLMAO
Emily Osmett is one of those former Disney child actresses who randomly pops up from time to time and you’re like “Oh! I remember her. Man, I’m old.”
Two and a Half Men 😂
Yep I seen few film she in I think I recognise her somewhere I remember Hannah Matana best friend
At least she didn't go do something crazy like most other former Disney stars
I remember her from the Spy Kids movies.
I see some of y'all haven't watched Young and Hungry. Emily ate that shit up.
"we didn't do a lot of eating when we we're together"
the look she gave him killed me 😂😂😂😂
He really has a death wish, doesn’t he?
What they did do is blatantly obvious! Georgie sure know how to put his foot in it
Oh they did a lot of eating alright just not food

@@Alex-di9qg THANK YOU
She does voices on Family Guy from time to time.
The Grandmother is hands down the greatest character
I do like MeeMaw the best of all the characters. She is just a great character.
"What about heavenly mother?"
"Don't just dont.." Georgie knows how crazy his mother can be about their religion.
It’s honestly kinda crazy for her to start imposing her views on a obviously deeply religious women the day they meet. I’m an atheist but I don’t starts arguments for the sake of arguing, just let them believe what they want and I’ll believe what I do. This goes for the religious folk pushing their views down the throat of atheist/Opposing faiths etc
@@user-uv3li8tk4r I highly agree with you I've had people do that to me, I told them I don't believe in their religion and they told me they aren't trying to convince me to convert. Right after they said that they proceeded to try on convert me to be apart of their religion. Yeah I stopped that conversation real fast.
@@user-uv3li8tk4r Yes, she's imposing HER views on Mary, not the other way round when Mary is clearly the one forcing them all to hold hands and listen to her bullshit. Not only that, she wants to force her nonsensical superstitions on a baby that isn't even hers.
Maybe think about who's really doing the imposing here.
@@user-uv3li8tk4r I'm an atheist myself and I've called out religious freaks on their beliefs because they needed to hear it and it's fun.
My Husband’s Mother is always trying to force her religion on my children & it infuriates me.
2:26 - Mandy: “Well I’m not very happy with Georgie right now.”
Connie - “NOBODY is.”
"We get it!" LOL.
Honestly, I think Annie Potts as Meemaw is genuinely the best acting I’ve ever seen in my life. She’s PERFECT for the role. I’m in awe at how amazing she is.
Also, I love how they have Meemaw being a terrific support system for Mandy.
Annie potts. I loved her in designing women.
I still can't believe she's the same person from the og ghostbusters
Anne Potts is great in anything.
She’s great in this but greatest acting ever nah
She really is great! It makes me wish they had written the character differently on TBBT. I would love to see Amy interact with this kind of Meemaw!
Georgie stole the show. I wanna see a spin off of Georgie building his tire business
I doubt that Jerry O'Connell, who's nearly 50 & already was cast once as the adult Georgie, would want to do it. That leaves a new show's makers to find another suitable actor who could make people forget about O'Connell.
@@chrislgarner4927 No need for new actor. Just let this Georgie keep going.
@@funch357He's incredible. So long as he wants to keep doing the role, he'll be amazing.

I just love this young sheldon, with no laugh tracks and can touch our feelings. It is so great.
Yes!
99th like
I think that turning it into a soap opera is killing the show ,they should just keep it a simple comedy the first few years were really funny
@@johnbeardshall2898 because the producers want to relate young sheldon on sheldons back stories, we can't blame them. we don't see the part where sheldon's parents will cheat with each other.
It's a different style of comedy, but I enjoy it a lot more than TBBT
"Heavenly father (or heavenly mother)"

Typical feminist. She even says why don’t u take my name to Georgie? Hell no. Men need to step up and lead. You want us to pay, to go to the noise in the night etc then quess what that make us the leader and thus our name is the family name.
Meemaw is that grandmother which every grandchild needs... Period... ✌🏻🙂
"you get a hug and i get nothin!" I LOVE GEORGIE🤣🤣
Imagine Sheldon and Mandy bonding over atheism 😂
Actually Georgie became an atheist too or something?
Ah Atheism the belief that an immense complex universe came form nothing. Time,
Space and matter all came to be at the same moment. Can’t have matter without space and can’t have space without time. The universe had a clear beginning and before a beginning there is nothing. How does nothing do a damn thing?
"You get a hug and I get nothing!"
Me: She didn't get her pregnant and lie about her age! 😂😂😂
I mean the getting pregnant part is on both of them, but the lying part is definitely the issue.
@@lieke3043 yeah, that's true
@@lieke3043 that's what I was thinking lol. If she didn't wanna have a baby then why even would she do that thing in the first place
Yeah, George raped Mandy.
@@mello9586 :
You will find out when you are older.
George does have a point on Georgie not having to marry Mandy because when he said “hell no” we can all tell that what he means is that he doesn’t want his son to have a bad marriage or crappy life like he does
that's the same thing as saying he's got a crappy family.
you should've worded it like this, George doesn't want to limit Georgie's life. Yeah, George got married at a young age, eventually had 2 more kids, and it all worked out. But that doesn't mean that the same thing would happen to Georgie. What he's trying to say is to work it out but keep your options/freedom somewhat available.

I liked meemaw supporting Mandy 👍
I liked the part when meemaw says "Mandy, hold on... go away *despise Georgie the idiot*"
Being 29 and finding out the guy you were with was actually 17 would be so shocking. Like hell would i marry a guy who knocked me up let alone a teenager. I wouldn't want to meet his folks either. In the 90s the world was changing, a woman could make it without a husband. Sorry Mary but even tho Mandy is pregnant before marriage it isn't the same situation as George Sr and her had.
Is America actually this fucked up
marrying and being a parent should always be considered as two separate things
“Make it” by being a drain on the government is not making it ..

This show is so much better than Big Bang, especially this season. The character dev is fantastic.
Yes. While Big Bang tends to cater too much to Sheldon's arrogance run amok without any blowback from his wimpy, passive aggressive friends, this show at least has Big George, Georgie & Missy to call him out/set him straight when he falls out of line. The value of Just Say No, to his whims & pretensions at least. Iain Armitage and Jim Parsons are fantastic actors. So too are the family cast!
This show without the BBT would not be the show it is. Who would care about a young genius without the context of Sheldon as an adult??? He would just be a spoiled genius brat!
Doesn’t hold true to the characters they are pretending to be... it looks almost like a bad lip read🙄. Only reason people watched was because they called it Sheldon, might of just had him be a trans-drag queen since it’s not “Sheldon”.
@@stevec5465 I've never really watched the BBT before. I saw a few scenes from the show and it didn't seem very good, so I wasn't very interested in it. But for some reason I enjoy watching Young Sheldon, even without knowing that much about adult Sheldon and his life. I think the show works fine on its own, it's funny and sweet and the actors are fantastic at their roles. Sometimes I wish it was it's own standalone show, and not a prequel.
I agree I would love to see a sequel covering Georgie's life
Watching this cast grow both figuratively and literally is truly amazing!🥰 I am so glad TBBT's spinoff holds its own; can't wait for more!🤓👊🏾🤣
I'm more than happy to hug Georgie ☺️
Me too! He's really such a sweetheart. Mandy is lucky, just think how many 17-year-olds (or even older) would have run away and pretended they didn't know her. Georgie is following her around wanting to take responsibility. Of course, as a parent I wouldn't be happy that my son got someone pregnant at 17, but I would be very proud of him if he responded the way Georgie is responding to Mandy's pregnancy. As Mandy, I would probably end up falling in love with him.
@@carmensavu5122 Taking responsibility is the LEAST thing he could do.
The problem is still his fault and he only took the blame when Connie made him see that what he did to Mandy could be done to his sister and how that would make him feel. It was then that he understood that what he did was wrong. And regardless of whether or not he accepted the pregnancy, that does not justify or redeem that he did a shitty thing and Mandy did not deserve that. She needs a father who is an adult like her, not another baby next to her. And Georgie, sweet or not, still has a LOT of growing to do.
I think George had one big flash back in that moment lol
Not seen this programme before, just subscribed. Really enjoyed that clip. The actress that plays Sheldon mum imitates the actress from the big bang theory perfectly.
@Simon Jones...Zoe Perry plays Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon, Laura Metcalf plays Mary in Big Bang Theory...they are daughter and mother in real life.
@@maggie2u135 ah ty for that, yes I can see the connection now.
Now those are some golden parents . even if he was an idiot and did something super stupid, they still took care of him and the girl.
The end is always the best part lol I love it.
Let’s all just agree. Meemaw is the best character on young sheldon.
Actually, I think the casting was great for everyone.
@@Thesdr666 I agree - solid casting all around. Literally every character on this show has had their moment.
She may be a good character, but I'm starting to dislike her as a person for the way she treats Georgie. And I'm not just talking about Mandy's pregnancy.
whoever that actress is that plays the mother of the 3 kids she is amazing. every time she is on she cracks me up!
She is the daughter of the woman who plays Sheldon's mother in the Big Bang Theory.
She is Laurie Metcaf's real life daughter. once you see the resemblence in looks and voice you can't forget it. perfect casting.
Wish my dad was alive to tell him that
That's some crazy supportive parents Georgie has
Grandma deserve to live forever
I’m sorry but when she said “go away” at 3:51 I actually dropped
God I really want to see a scene where he she meets Sheldon and he says something rude
When does he not say something rude?
Oh I mean young Sheldon he's probably nicer put in Big bang theory he would say rude things all the time
And when he was in high school he would make all his teachers look stupid I don't know also when he met it one of his teachers he told one of the women teachers that she has a bit of a mustache
Imagine if Sheldon started educating her about the use of contraceptives after she is already pregnant.
@@iwishiwasthomasshelby How'd you know they didn't use one?

I was expecting a bigger reaction but it's nice for them to just accept it and I just don't like Mary's attitude when it comes to baptising the baby I might be Catholic but I don't like it.
I used to be Catholic and hate it too.
I hate Mary in every single way and this episode, yet again, reminds me why
@@karma3351 I also don't like Mary cause she apply Christian ways into everything like that DnD episode
Mary doesn't use patience and meekness in her approach to the situation. She just goes straight in with what she wants. She's also too worried about her own pride as opposed to her son. She doesn't want him to do the wrong thing, or be known to have done so so that people don't think badly of her. I'd think looking at the situation, it's bad already and probably the best solution would be have the baby abd put it up for adoption so it can be taken care of by a capable family, not a 29 year old barely making ends meet and a 17 year old with more functional sperm cells than brain cells.
What about the fact that Mary said everyone make Mindy feel welcome.
Did you not see her goodness there.
Of course she is baptist so she will say that.

THE ENDING😂😂😂😂😂😂
“You get a hug and I get nothin’.”
Meemaw was great in this one.
I actually blame Meemaw over this. She should have warned Mandy.
@Christopher Bingham Actually, it is as Georgie is underage. Therefore, not an adult so she should have stepped in. The first time she saw them at the restaurant she should have asked to speak with Georgie and gotten him to tell her then and there. If he still refused then she should have told Mandy herself.
I really don't like Mee Maw in this situation. She waited too long and did nothing. Yes the majority of the blame is on Georgie but she just let it go on.
@Christopher Bingham Sorry, I was not aware that in Texas it was 17. So I can cut Mee Maw some slack. However, he is still not an adult and cannot fully make his own decisions as you stated in your first comment. To be considered an adult he would have to be 18 regardless of the age of consent.
Which just makes the situation complicated for someone in Connie's position. On the one hand he is not under the age of consent and can have sex with the girl if he chooses. On the otherhand he is still a minor who can't make fully major decisions and she is one of his guardians.
I'm not saying that this was me Ma's fault because Georgie and Mandy were responsible for their own actions however if I were Mima the first time I saw them out together drinking I absolutely would have told Mandy how old Georgie was and it would have ended there
3:56 is totally a Supernatural reference 🤣

Mandy and Connie’s Relationship is so sweet and heartwarming.
"You have no defense, you're an idiot."
This is a family tragedy. But they wrote it so well, I’m laughing my head off.
He's literally a 17 year old... He's getting absolutely 0 sympathy while the ALMOST 30 YEAR OLD is being molly coddled.
Probably because he lied to her about his age, and she’s the one whose going to have to deal with society’s spurn. As you’ll be able to tell visibly that she’s a pregnant single woman, whilst no one will know Georgie is a teenage father unless his vocally mentions it.
You have no sympathy. Your mom once let some dude do it to her too.
This is more an accurate representation of the time the show is set in, the views held in Texas (a very Christian Southern State) and is also shot from the very narrow lens of a single family (who value marriage and family) than an endorsement of the viewpoint.
Just because it's shown that way in the show doesn't mean that's the right way things should be, and I think a lot of people commenting on this video look like they've forgotten that fiction isn't always 'correct' lol.
@Christopher Bingham Did the show say it was unprotected sex?
That's because you're only watching reactions of HIS family. Of course they'd be angrier at him for lying than a stranger who's currently pregnant.
Here's an interesting way things have changed. Mandy's parents find out their 29-yo daughter is pregnant and want nothing to do with her. In this day and age, so many people put off having children well into their 30s that their parents are worried and practically begging them for a grandchild. A lot of parents would be so happy their daughter is finally having a child that they would jump for joy. I think my parents would be, and I've had childless friends tell me that their parents told them they want a grandchild so much they don't even care if it's out of wedlock.
Georgie there’s a reason why condoms exist.
At the time that show was set in, condoms were not so easily available as they are now.
And i get nothing hahaha 😂😂😂
1:12 same thing happens if i tell my mom _anything_ 😆
