Thank you for this! Just perfect. Getting this lens later this morning. Subscribed, love que quality. (Tip: Music in vid is good, but I thing super over used. You have a great rhithym talking, don't be afraid of punching up those beats a little) AGAIN THANK YOU FOR AN AWESOME VIDEO!!!!! [Big hello fro Dominican Republic!]
What a nice sharing bro. Just keep it up. Actually, i'm looking this lens for few weeks until finally i found it. Hope i have a good experience with this lens too
@@theclapfather6265 I'm in Indonesia and i got it secondhand, which in price it's 3.8 million rupiah or maybe it's 265 dollars. I thing for now is difficult to get the new one, because this lens is an old lens.
Thanks for the video. I’m looking to use it on a gimbal. The focus sound won’t be a huge issue for me. But how fast or slow does it focus on video mode. I see one available for $200. Not sure if it have the stabilizer though.
Hey yash, i got a question for you. Hope you can answer it. I have been using 50mm lens for a long time which broken recently. So I am thinking of buying this sigma lens instead of the same 50mm again. I am looking to use it mostly for portraits and sometimes for landscapes during my travels. Please let me know if this lens serves this purpose and I dont do videos on my dslr. Nice video by the way. Thank you
If you majorly do portraits, than go for the 50mm as it would be more usefull. but if you do landscape and portraits both frequently than this type of lens would be better.
Hi Yash...Im a hobbyist who loves to take photos- family outing, kids, wedding and pilgrimmage.....and hang them on the walls in A3 size(max)....Is this lens solve my purpose....I have canon 77d
@@yashgupta. No I don't want to try your lens....wanted to check some photos and your practical review about this. Anyway if you feel comfortable revert here will plan to catch up...bye for now.
@yashgupta. No it's not. It's an APS-C only lens and will not work on full frame. It has EF mount so can be mounted on full frame camera phisically, but it does not cover full frame sensor so there will be heavy vignetting (black borders). The fact that this is APS-C lens is denoted as "DC" in the lens marking. Sigma full frame lenses have "DG" in their name.
Sounds like a Geiger counter. I still like it!
Thanks for this review! Most of the reviews are photo-centric so this was very helpful 🙌🙌🙌

Hi do you think if this is better or I should get canon 15-85mm
Have bought Nikon D7100 with this lens yesterday, hope it will perform well!

Bro how much is this lens in us dollars new or used

Awesome video, thank you so much. The footage was super helpful. What camera did you shoot the shaving sequence on?
Canon EOS 80D
Thanks Yash, can you advise which lens is better video quality wise 'sigma 17-50 f2.8 or canon 17-55mm f2.8 I for canon eos m50 camera ✌👍
Sorry for the late response, the cannon would be better I guess, this ones quite an old model and the canon one would be better optimised for the m50
@@yashgupta. hey Yash, I bought sigma 18-35mm f1.8 for canon eos m5, thank you so much 😊
It does have weather sealing. That’s what’s advertised on it.
There isn't any weather sealing gasket on the back so I'm pretty sure it doesn't have weather sealing
@@yashgupta. yea I understand that. Then I don’t know why it says it weather sealed? 🤔 the specs say it is.

The focus speed is pretty good and I don't think this one comes without a optical stabilization option
Do you have the HSM version of the lens which is supposed to be silent.
Great video 📹
Good work
Hello ! I'm not sure to understand, if I put it on my APS-C this lens is a 17-50mm or a 25-75mm ?
On an APS-C sensor it's a 25-75mm equivalent.

How about if you disable the autofocus?
And use the manual focus?
Do you think the sound eliminates?
Yes, in manual focus the wheel moves freely without any sound
Looking to buy this for travel videos and property videos should I go for it. i own canon 200d mark ii
This one is quite an old model, if you any other similar option that are of newer design. Then I'll suggest you opt out for that
Heyy I have Nikon 50mm 1.8
And the kit lena as well so will this be a good upgrade or I should look for something for valuable?😊
If you use the kit lens which has a similar Focus length a lot then this would be a better option to get . If not, then something else would be better
Is it good for Milky way photography???
I'm not very familiar with astrophotography but a prime lens would be better in my opinion because of overall sharpness
I want to buy this lens but its not available from where did u purchase it from btw I'm from India
I bought it from Amazon.
do you own also sigma 18-35mm? which of this is more noisy in sound?
I have used the 18-35mm and I'll say that the 17-50mm is much more loud.
are you selling it?

@@alexanderkublitsky oh yes, my bad. It is indeed an APS-C lens. So it won't work properly with a full frame body.
