so awesome, I have been listening to them for over 30 years. Some have mentioned how they use two different drummers. It must be noted that in recent years Nigel has had some serious health issues and they needed the help of other drummers when Nigel was too ill to perform. Paul and Biff have always made sure that there was an awesome drummer behind the kit. Whether Pete Gill from the beginning couple of years, Nigel Glockler, Nigel Durham ( please forgive me if I spelled his name wrong) or Fritz Randow who was also in this video. They are all great but Nigel Glockler always has been and always will be the beast for Saxon. God bless you Nigel I hope you make a full recovery and will have great health from now on and I pray that God will give Saxon the strength and grace to keep giving us the best metal in the world. You guys are the best

I saw Saxon play with girlschool I think Dunstable but maybe St Albans over 40 years ago. Lemmy and the others were there but not playing until the encores,when everyone played, Lemmy was banging a beer can with a drumstick. Ya that’s on being put on wrong tour they seemed to get decent deals in Europe but some 1 deliberately sandbagged them because they were to big of threat is what my instinct tells me sorta like being on tour with Led Zeppelin and all of a sudden the 1 song you been working on shows up on radio and you get beat up by gorilla lawyers yes I believe jimmy stole stairway he may of polished it up sorta like Hendrix all along watchtower but of course we know now that Led Zeppelin were definitely wrong to deny credit . Of course they sorts borrowed more than 1 that’s what kinda burns me the money they have ,no its pride that got in the way of doing the right thing now they have a big flaming Zit sitting right on their Legacy

I last saw Saxon at Monsters of Rock in Kaiserslautern Germany in 1983. And I'm fucking PUMPED to finally go see them again next week in Toronto (Sept 15th). Thirty years later!! I’m briefly reading the history on Saxon , 1 of my guitar teachers had said something about them but if I had heard them I wasn’t aware of what it was I think Id heard a little bit about that accept tour that was another decent band that didn’t get promoted correctly and unfortunately didn’t get the full recognition I’ve been playing licks like these for years never realized how close Ive been the whole time so I definitely plan on working some of these up and recording some and playing them live the big trick will be finding a singer that can hang with biff
i saw saxon denim and leather tour, on my 18th birthday in february 1982 in the states, when they opened for triumph...great gig, then i saw them about six more times after that. i met biff and the band at the hotel they were staying at, and talked with biff for a couple minutes, they signed my album on their way to sound check in the afternoon...quinn apparently had been drinking, he could barely sign his name...
First saw Saxon in '82 or '83 - they haven't lost it. "Did you listen to the radio every Friday night" RIP Tommy Vance and yes we all did - from 10pm til midnight every week. TV on the radio you are missed.
