Always look forward to see what you come out with next! I know my tank is still too new but I'll return to this video in a few months to refresh when I'm ready to get one, I was digging that watermelon with the purple tips awesome video and keep em coming!
Condylactis Gigantea can actually grow pretty huge, their disk diameter can be up to 16 inches and are about 6 inches tall. Super common where I'm from so I've had them for years.
another great video Jeff....my only criticism(if you can call it that) is whether or not these particular nemes are more or less clownfish hosts...many people get anemones to be hosts for clowns and not all of these are the best for that. thank you very much for your weekly content. I sub to you because your content and delivery is unique and spot on.
Nice video and some great overall run down on all of them.i have a Atlantic 1 I've had this now for about a year and a bit his tentacles at the end are a stunning green I've spoken to several shops here to find out more information on it do you have any knowledge you can share please I have a redsea reefer 750 so it enough space with in the tank its tentacles are prob 7/8 inches long it's a nice corner show piece thanks
I have kept Ritteri and BTAs in my display but Ritteri's were the worst - - if they don't like a spot, they'll move quite dramatically and most of the time float around the tank. I tried Carpet... but made the mistake of quarantining it (you don't need to quarantine anemones) and died. Such a shame as it was really large. They seem to be really sensitive to the slightest of change.
Is it possible to mix different types of anemones together in a tank? If can, what is recommended? What other advise would you give me having a mix anemone tank. Thanks in advance
They are gorgeous, but don't get fooled by their beauty. Story: A few years ago me and my friend went to the beach it was rocky and had shallow waters, so we decided to hunt for crabs between the rocks. And my friend accidental brushed her leg on one, it then inflicted a painful sting in her leg. The ambulance came and drove her to hospital where they proceded to shower her leg in vinegar (I think it gets rid of poison). And now she has a scar the size of a hand on her leg.
Yes, I too am somewhat baffled by this and I hear it quite often from RUclipsrs in the field. It's concerning when someone who is supposed to be expert enough in their field to give guidance to others consistently mispronounces basic terms.... If I went to a surgeon for a consult about my pancreas and he kept calling it a paMcreas instead of paNcreas, I'd seek out a different surgeon. I really love his videos and he is obviously far more knowledgeable than I in this area, but this mispronouncing the subject of his video is concerning.
Rainbow is a color morph of Bubble-Tip Anemone (Entacmaea quadricolor). Unless you mean the recently-discovered Rainbow Bottom Anemone (look it up if you haven't seen it it's the coolest thing ever, but you can't buy it). EDIT: Looks like he mentioned 3 different BTAs. The rose, watermelon, and Colorado whatever are all the same species.
I have tried 4 anemone's from month 7 to a year and none do well. It is soo frustrating. Not to mention expensive. I've gotten extensive advice from WWC, done a ton of research, maintain my levels, have 3 AI 32HD's on my Reefer 525XL. Still they never seem to take well. I've lost a large Rainbow BT ($500+ killed by "Loving to death.", A Black Widow, A Rose BT, and the ill advised Rainbow Bottom. If anyone can give me any advice it'd be much appreciated. I want a home for my O.C. Clowns!
@@mous3y490 Within a few weeks to some 3 months after doing fine. But my tank has since matured to what will be 2 years in January. And I realised my Mag levels were way too low. Once I upped those I had success. Also I refrained from trying to target feed them. And left it to them getting whatever food was present in the water column. In addition, neither of my clowns have tried to get in them since. So there was no "Loving to death." Syndrome imvolved.
Admire the video, great job mentioning power head protection for wandering anemones. However my only recommendation is to practice saying A-Ne-Mo-Ne. In the reef industry, you can just looked at unpleasantly for mispronouncing a name. I did for a while for pronouncing Favite, as (fah-vait/vite) when it's pronounced (fuh-vai-tee). Definitely practiced that one for a while until I got it down. We all make silly mistakes but the learning is what makes it fun, hope this helps. Love the content!
In the sea world everything is reef safe with caution. I’ve had tangs stress out and ripped carpet anemones mouth to get them to regurgitate after feeding. 😂 lbvs
The rock flower nem is much safer hardier and prettier than the tube anemone there rock flower is the most reef safe anemone u can get they don’t move and they don’t grow big they’re essentially large mushrooms lol but they really are I’ve seen mushrooms move as much as rock flowers do and I’ve seen mushrooms sting a rock flower bc the rock flowers are jus not aggressive at all they’re basically as reef safe as a mushroom and probably almost jus as hardy at least in my experience with them
I love the flower anemones. Awesome video !!
Thanks for visiting
Great video! I like the Rock Flowers so many different color patterns.
Thank you! Cheers!

Good luck!
How is the tank doing a year down the line?? :)
You didn't mention the Seabae anemone. Wonder why. They're one of my favorites. Plus, they aren't as prone to wander.
Yet another great video. I just added my fist to the 90 gallon tank, hoping he does well! He hasn’t moved from the spot that I placed him. Yet!
Thank you for doing a video this!!! Do you have a nem in your tank?

True dat!
you should do a top ten reef setups for clownfish.
I have the sunburst and it's happy on top of my rock work under 250

Anemone that are good for nano tanks?
Good rock flower. It would be cool if you listed host relationship species
Omg yes! Thank you so much. I've tried to found the name of mine and it was the 9th one, the condy! Your videos are the best, keep it up!
Yay! Thank you!
A very nice Video. I love the "top 10" videos
Glad you like them!

where can I get them?
Why is the Rose bubble anemone so expensive. I've got mine for about 70€.
That's crazy I can get them for 30
Right now it’s because of covid
So the tube Anemone won’t sting coral?
Im sure it will... Corals sting corals
Surprised the rainbow bubble tip didn't make the list!
Maybe next time
Thought rainbow, sebae and black widow nems would be on it
Lets make reefing great again!
Rainbow nem didn’t make the list? I’m confused

how long they took to die after you placed them in?

Its probably flower news for me. They survive hell depending on the type.
Love them nems
The picture of the tube anemone on the video looks like a bunch of worms

Thanks for watching!
Why people are saying "aneNoMe" haha idk, it just bugs me. Anyway, thanks for the video!
Thanks for watching!
A NEM O NE
I like the way I see it better
Haha...this guy doesn't pronounce anemone correctly. You're saying anenome...its anemone.
Soon as I started the video I saw your comment and waited for him to say it 🤣
Repeat after me: uh -NEM - uh - nee.
Not uh - NEN - uh - MEE...
Listen Pal, Ms. Mills my second grade science teacher couldn’t get it done… I doubt you’re going to save the day.
Please pronounce the word anemone correctly. It is not pronounced anenome it’s anemone
You are mispronouncing anemone. A-nem- o- ne
…and your specimens selections are so plain..
