Thank you so much for the free grocery list and recipes im 13 and im trying to convince my nom to treat her body right with what she eats and im so happy that you've made this process much easier. Peace be with you🙏❤
Nisha you are an absolute delight I’ve been vegan almost 3 years and watch vegan RUclips ALL the time but just stumbled upon your channel today!! Such quality video production with so much information and helpful tips I’m shocked you don’t have more followers! I hope your channel grows! It deserves to!! ❤️❤️❤️
Oh my goodness Nisha, these meals look amazing and I want to eat them now. I love black beans and corn and sweet potatoes, so I will be trying this for dinner sometime this week and I love the quinoa lunch idea. Thanks for another great video , also thank you for taking the time to reply to my comments, it truly means a lot to me 💕
I'm so happy to see your lovely comments - you sure know how to bring a smile to my face! Thank you so much, Jen! And I agree - the combo of sweet potatoes, corn and black beans is sooo good (not surprising, I love carbs haha).
I happen to stumble upon this video. I really appreciated how you added your grocery list and cost to the meal plan guide for the entire week. Can't wait to try these recipes out!
Thank you for sharing. I have been vegan for years but ate out at least once a day. I started prepping yesterday and began my meals today. Super easy, quick, and delicious. Thanks for the motivation 🤙
That's so great to hear! It can be very tempting and easy to eat out, but if you take a little time to plan and prep, it's so much better for your wallet and health! So glad to hear this was a source of motivation for you :)
Exactly, I was about to quit. I'm a great home cook, but didn't know how to make vegan taste good or prepare it. Now, I'm happy will be able to cook for everyone in my family, even if it is one or two vegan meals a day. Hopefully, we all become at least vegetarian, hope we all become vegan. Good luck with your cooking!!!
I did enjoy this video. This will help me to make my 5 days of vegan eating easy. Hope you can make more delicious, simple, and affordable ideas for all of us beginner vegans.
Dear Nisha, I'm thoroughly enjoying your videos; they've inspired some of my own recipes. I ordered your Instant Pot Vegan book yesterday and am looking forward to more great vegan meals. May I kindly offer a suggestion: when possible, bring lightweight organza drawstring bags for buying produce and bulk items. I realize these bags don't work for every purchase but they do help cut down on plastic waste. Thank you again for sharing your vegan experience with us. Sincerely, Peg
Hi Peg, thank you for your sweet note. I am so glad I've inspire some of your recipes and hope you'll enjoy my cookbook. And thank you for the suggestion! I have started doing that since I filmed this video (back in 2017) and now have a large collection of cloth and mesh bags :)
@@RainbowPlantLife Dear Nisha, I should have known that already! Wonderful! By the way, your book arrived yesterday; both my husband and I look forward to delving in. Peg
I don't know why I've never thought to pair dates and peanut butter, but they're practically made for each other. Love them! Not sure I'm going to like having essentially the same meal for lunch and dinner, but I'm just starting out with meal prep and I'll give it a try this week. Thanks for posting incredible videos!
I think I've watched at least ten of your videos today... over the last week you've convinced me to really try committing to veganism after having a plant centric diet for years. Thank you! I'm really excited to get your book soon too (: Btw it was the "I Ate Like a King for $5 a Day" video that first brought me in - I had somehow convinced myself that cutting out animal products was too pricy before. Your content has just gotten better and better!
I just met you tonight and watched several great videos. I recently became a vegan and have done lots of reading and seen hours and hours of videos. I like your approach of quick and easy and delicious. So I went to order your book. Can you believe they are already sold out at Amazon! Not worried as it should be in soon. Thanks for your very well prepared videos.
Hi Susan, how sweet are you! I am so happy you're enjoying my videos and my approach. Yes, unfortunately it's sold out but should be back in stock this week (my editor said early February so fingers crossed). Thank you for stopping by :)
How easy is it to be vegan... I am discovering more fabulous recipes every day. Thank you, you make it so easy. Sending this message from Scotland, UK. 😘
We love that you attached your grocery list, super helpful for people who are just starting out with veganism! Awesome video, keep up the great work. Subscribed xoxo L&K
That dress is really pretty. Some great ideas here. I have weird cravings for sweetcorn all the time and tend to eat muslie for breakfast so partway there.
Hi lovely! So nice to hear from you and way to go! It feels so good to know you're making the planet a better place. The feeling only gets better and better!
Love every single one of them! Never stop! Love your sense of humor and detailed explanation of certain foods. Being new to veganism, it's so important to know all the how's and why's. Thank you, Nisha! The most beautiful girl ever! Lots of love and support from South Africa.
Aww you sure know how to flatter a girl! Thank you kindly for all your compliments and I'm really happy the explanations were helpful for you in your new chapter as a vegan :) Sending you lots of love and hugs :)
Love your videos. They make sense. Thank you for using glass containers instead of plastic. I attended a sustainability fair recently. I have now added stainless steel straws and compostable sandwich and snack bags to my kitchen. The only thing in my trunk is about a dozen reusable tote bags. Every little bit helps. Have you done any videos on ways to be more earth conscious?
I have been trying to reduce my plastic consumption over the last year as well, always learning something new, like compostable sandwich bags! I still have a lot more learning to do before I think I’d be a useful resource for a video, but that’s a great idea for the future!
Soooooooo Ian currently making this for the week it did coast more than $50 but I also did buy a nice size container of chia seed that coast $10 I got everything from Walmart and I live in jersey this is all new to me but everything seems to taste good ( I made a few minor alterations
Hi there! I'm so happy to hear you're making these meals. Would love to hear what you think and if you have any questions about vegan meal prep (or other vegan questions), I'm happy to chat!
I moved to Pennsylvania, the food here is way more expensive than NYC. I was in shock, live in a rural area, clothes, basically anything is more expensive. But, housing is cheap compared to NYC.
Looks super. I might toast the oats in the oven first. I know that makes one more step but might add a bit of extra crunch? How did you like the vegan ricotta? Can that be found at Whole Foods or Trader Joes? I am going to try the date dessert. Thanks for sharing! I made your black lentils in the ipot and ate them for both lunch and dinner today--yum!
Hi Michelle, I think toasting the oats will be a nice idea :) the ricotta is from kite hill foods and I get it at Whole Foods! So glad you tried the black lentils! I’ll have more instant pot recipes coming next month!
Super Kool Thank you. Would love some food storage tips. Can some of the dishes be frozen for the following week? I'd like to build up a more diverse repertoire. I live in ST John USVI and food costs are exponential, regardless of the great convenience of weekly food I find that I waste. More than the dollar cost, wasting food leaves huge and unnecessary foot print.
Wonderful video! I love meal preps like this that can give me inspiration. I am instant subscriber! I apologize if I missed this in the video, or a previous one, but where did you get your containers from??
These meals look delicious, but I question whether a person could really eat the same exact meals everyday for 5 days (especially when lunch and dinner use alot of the same ingredients/flavors) without getting serious food fatigue. I feel like meal prepping like this would make eating vegan affordable and easy, but I would not be able to do it this way. Those are some great recipes though, so thank you!
Hey I was wondering if you could tell us what you got from Whole Foods and what you got from trader joes? Cause im going to both and if i buy something from the wrong place it could mess up the budget
I live in Denmark and my country has high taxes (VAT) on unhealthy foods. And less so on healthy ones. They had the nuts classed as unhealthy and just now lowered the VAT on them. yay!
Really nice video, but how do you store the already baked sweet potatoe the other 4 days...won't they get bad in the fridge and is it possible to reheat them?
Hi there! Cooked sweet potatoes can be stored in the fridge in an airtight container for 4-5 days. Yes, you can reheat, but it's best to reheat on low heat so they don't overcook. Hope that helps!
RainbowPlantLife Hi, thank you for your answer:) Yes, that helped a lot. Sad to hear, that so much veggies and fruits in the US are geneticly modified... I hope, there will be no TTIP, so this gen-crap won't be spread to us in europe. Big Greets from Germany

I love these ideas...thank you...I am a new vegetarian and I’m seriously considering going vegan, to be vegan does it have to be all organic foods or can it just be no meat, dairy and anything to do with animal cruelty...or am I wrong here,,..thanks again for your awesome information and recipes!,,
You are very welcome! Nope, your food doesn't have to be organic. There are a few exceptions, like regular white sugar may be made with bone char, so I recommend buying organic, but otherwise, just saying no to meat and dairy is a great way to start!
No problem! I have the 1 quart size. They are decent, but I'd recommend hand washing instead of using them in the dishwasher, as they can get warped. If you want something sturdier, I really love the bento boxes I use in this video: ruclips.net/video/D3nHKpH4dCI/видео.html
What I never understand about these meal prep videos, is that you will have to eat the same meals the whole week. I could never eat the same thing for more than one or two days in a row. I would even go off my absolute favourite foods, if I had them more than once every three or four weeks. Is that just me? What I would love would be meal prep videos that make four or five different lunches/dinners, maybe with similar ingredients so you don't have to buy loads of different stuff, but mixing them up, adding different seasoning, cooking methods, ... to make every meal seem different than what you ate the day before. Anyone know if/where I can find videos/recipes like that?
Hi, if you look at one my more recent videos, I do just that! 8 ingredients to make diverse meals throughout the week. That's how I actually meal prep most of the time. This style of video is for people who are more interested in batch cooking the same thing and don't need as much variety.
It looks good, but it's looks like I cant have it,as its the same meal everyday and I have a fear of getting boared also , I hv never tried uncooked spinach,so thats a question to!
The total was $49.79 for 5 days with 5 meals per day. If you don't like avocados but want a complementary flavor that goes well with the burrito bowl and stuffed sweet potatoes, I would try a cilantro sour cream - I have a recipe for vegan sour cream here - bit.ly/sour-cream (and then add in a handful of cilantro leaves). If you just want more calories and don't care about complementary flavors, you can add hummus, which is creamy like avocado, or some toasted almonds and sunflower seeds/pumpkin seeds.

What was the total and what if avocados are your worse enemies

If you don't like avocados but want a complementary flavor that goes well with the burrito bowl and stuffed sweet potatoes, I would try a cilantro sour cream - I have a recipe for vegan sour cream here - bit.ly/sour-cream (and then add in a handful of cilantro leaves).
If you just want more calories and don't care about complementary flavors, you can add hummus, which is creamy like avocado, or some toasted almonds and sunflower seeds/pumpkin seeds.
There is nothing wrong with genetic modified food. Bananas were genetically modified to not have inedible seeds that were as big as walnuts.
