Oh those hipsters... they know it all. And thanks for the IG berry hack! :P For real though, these tips are awesome, Nisha! Love the value in your videos ❤
Pick Up Limes i know u love this channel and u have millions of subscribers why not shout this channel out. Why not shout out jess beautician too shes amazing just saying do help and promote other healthy vegans too
I love that when you were talking about the waffles you said you can make them as "healthy or as decadent as you want!" You could have said unhealthy, junkie, etc, instead of decadent, but I really appreciate that you are not shaming people's food choices and making veganism accessible to even those who don't care about "eating clean"
My son was Vegetarian long before he could talk. I didn't pay it any mind. He spoke about becoming Vegetarian as he grew up. Finally at 17 years he became one and it was the easiest thing for him. Now I'm doing it with him because I love him to bits and it is a way for me to monitor his protein intake and prepare delicious meals for him. Last night he made dinner. Thank you for helping me through this unknown territory. ⭐ Funny thing is ... I don't feel deprived.
I was just telling my husband that was about to give up on being vegan because seemed too complicated, but, since subscribing to your channel feel energized. Thank you for the videos.
In one video you covered rather effortlessly several ideas for vegans or non vegans alike. Use of frozen almond milk cubes, frozen bananas & berries, vegan ice cream & smoothies, broth cubes, vegan cool whip, frozen brown rice & edamame, waffles & frozen veggie burger. Great job, Nisha.
Ty, Nisha. All these delightful earlier vids coming my YT feed these days are really useful. Am saving to reference when my kitchen is configured so my husband & I can cook sitting down (mostly) . Really grateful to you and thanks for some more chuckles. You just have the best darn energy.💙
I have been slacking on the banana ripening/freezing, so I am totally doing the almond milk ice cube thing for frosty smoothies instead-why haven’t I been doing that for years?! Love all your giant glass jars too!
I know I arrived way late on your channel. But now I know about it, I can’t get enough of your videos. Love your cool hipster 😜 vibe. I know you must have been busy with your project of the cookbook for past year. Hoping soon you will post more videos. No pressure.. hahaha.. just love sound of your voice and all the simple cool ideas 💡 you recommend and of course the great recipes. Thanks!!!
aww you're the best! I love reading your kind comments. And yes I definitely was a bit busy with the book, but hoping to post more regularly now that I am (almost) done with it! So happy to have your support, dear!
Could you do a video on soups and stews please? Winter is knocking on our doors; soups and stews, especially when made in a crockpot, fit the bill (and make the house smell so yummy after working all day). Ty!
I've never wanted to be friends with someone as much as you! Haha. You seem like you'd enrich the lives of anyone who knew you :) thanks for the great video!
hi nicole! Omg you are so sweet! I was so touched by your comment. I don’t know if that’s true but I definitely try my best. Thank you again for brightening my day :)
Great video, Nisha! I happen to absolutely adore those veggie burgers. They sell them at White Castle and while they are not the healthiest thing in the world, they still taste so good!
Great video Nisha! I love all the colors, especially the gorgeous smoothie bowl. I really like how you incorporated different products from the grocery store into the video, will definitely check them out at Trader Joe’s. And for someone who doesn’t really like veggies (me lol) you made them look delicious
I had no idea how to freeze fresh berries! LOL! Loving your channel. Decided to adopt a change in my eating due to health concerns. Thanks for sharing.
I wish my freezer was that neat! Funny about the almond milk cubes. I was just thinking of doing that - didn't see it anywhere, I was just craving a yummy milkshake-like smoothie and thought that would be a good way to do it!
I saw you had a frozen vegetable mix at the end for the soup you were making in a jar. Do you cut up the veggies and freeze them yourself or is that veggie mix something that you bought but transferred to the jar for better storage? what are you recommendations for this?
Love binging your channel! So far I've made the mushroom stroganoff and the buffalo chickpea quesadillas, both were a hit! For freezing veg, do you do those raw? I find when I freeze things like sweet onions they get a weird taste. Same with bell peppers.
Hey how long do the frozen berries last in the freezer ? And also can you freeze milk a week before it expires to save it for latter ? I have a non dairy milk called nipple , it expires in a few days but I was thinking of freezing it ... what do you think ?
Hi Myunique, berries, once frozen properly, have a very long shelf life so I would say at least six months if not a year. Regarding the milk, there’s nothing wrong with freezing it, though it may affect the texture of it, especially if it’s a milk made without stabilizers and just with almonds and water.
Where do you get your jars? I’m thinking of switching all my frozen items to jars now. I’ve got frozen blueberries, veggies, bananas etc, in gallon bags but they tend to get frosted. I’m afraid stainless steel clasps might rust over time from the thaw and dethaw process, so just checking in to see a better option!
I get them from either the container store or ikea. I haven't had an issue with most of my stainless steel clasps, though I do replace mason jar lids from time to time due to rust.
coco whip in the freezer, I haven't ever bought it, BUT at around Thanksgiving time during my childhood, i remember good ol' cool whip. Definitely on my mind now for future grocery list(coco whip that is :)) )! ^__^
Hey sister did you put a glass mason jar in your freezer? Love all the other tips but not sure If glass jars can be kept In the freezer can you pls let me know for sure tnks🤔.
Hi there! Glad you liked the video :) Yes, you can freeze glass containers, just follow these tips - abetterwaytothrive.com/freezing-in-glass-no-more-broken-jars/ I follow them and haven't had any issues. Hope that helps!
Another great vid with great unique tips! Thanks! Also - I could've sworn I saw you at jajaja the other week? I was waiting for a table with my brother while you were on your way out. I should've said hi! T_T
Hey Lindsay! Thank so much! And YES that probably was me! I was there about a week ago :) I didn't know you lived in NYC! I LOVE jajaja - everything is sooo delicious!
RainbowPlantLife Yes I love that place! Somehow it was my first time there - even my brother had been there before me. And yes - I'm a New Yorker! Harlem, represent! :)
Not a criticism... but curious as to why you prefer almond milk? It is known to be pretty environmentally devastating. Do you disagree or do think it’s that much better than coconut or oat milk?
I have changed my mind on this since 2017, when i filmed this video :) I actually don't use or buy it at all anymore, unless it's necessary for a very specific recipe. Oat and coconut milk are now my go-tos!
Hi there. I always wait to cool my liquids before adding them to the jars and I don't fill them up all the way. Here are some more tips to help prevent glass jars from breaking in the freezer: abetterwaytothrive.com/freezing-in-glass-no-more-broken-jars/
Oh those hipsters... they know it all. And thanks for the IG berry hack! :P For real though, these tips are awesome, Nisha! Love the value in your videos ❤
Oh hi! Thanks so much for your lovely comment, Sadia! So flattered you find them valuable! Haha yes you can now "make" frozen berries too :)

Definitely! That is my motto! You can do veganism however you want. My personal style is a mix of wholesome plant-based food and decadent treats :)

I can tell you're healthy vegan from your glowing skin. Love your channel
Great content, thanks. I've always been scared to free things in glass, how do you avoid the glass breaking?
Don’t fill things all the way. Leave some space and you’ll be fine!
Amazing video and information! I enjoy every video you post :)
Aww Monica! you are the sweetest! Thank you so much for the support!
Great video....i didn't realuze you could freeze in those containers...this was so very helpful and informative. Thank you!
Great video, Nisha! I happen to absolutely adore those veggie burgers. They sell them at White Castle and while they are not the healthiest thing in the world, they still taste so good!
Hi friend! That's so funny, I had no idea about that :) I love veggie burgers!
I get them pretty often -- they're completely vegan at White Castle since they don't use cheese in those sliders
great to know! I don't have a white castle near me but if i'm near one, I'll be sure to check it out :)
I am anxious to have my own apartment to have all these good stuff in my freezer. 😋🙏🏼

I'm not sure that I'm at the Martha Stewart/Contessa level, but I do freeze my home-made stock.
One more question....do you take your frozen veg out of bag and put them on jars also? Thx again...this was so helpful.
Just starting on my journey and loved this very helpful video
Glad it was helpful :)
Great tips and love what you keep in your freezer...similar to what I have in my own but hadn't considered the frozen almond milk...
I just found your channel. New subscriber & fan!!
Yay! Thank you for being here :)
Love binging your channel! So far I've made the mushroom stroganoff and the buffalo chickpea quesadillas, both were a hit! For freezing veg, do you do those raw? I find when I freeze things like sweet onions they get a weird taste. Same with bell peppers.
Hi! Was wondering can you freeze homemade almond milk? And also can you freeze other plant based milks or does it only work well with almond?
Thankyou Nisha : very useful to know
can you freeze hummus? if yes, how? i make huge quantity at once but they don't last more than a week

Awesome ideas! 👍💕
coco whip in the freezer, I haven't ever bought it, BUT at around Thanksgiving time during my childhood, i remember good ol' cool whip. Definitely on my mind now for future grocery list(coco whip that is :)) )! ^__^
Definitely! It jazzes up all kinds of desserts and of course, requires no work or effort :)
Do you freeze cauliflower raw or after it’s steamed ? :)
Hi Monica! I freeze it raw so it retains most of its texture and doesn't get too soggy.
I usually blanch mine before freezing. I think it makes for a better texture.
Thank you for these
I am going to try the almond milk ice cubes. I have seen this a lot and they seem to give good texture to smoothies.
Thanks, Gabriela! Yes they are a great addition to make smoothies creamy!
Thanks, Gabriela! Yes they are a great addition to make smoothies creamy!
Hey sister did you put a glass mason jar in your freezer? Love all the other tips but not sure
If glass jars can be kept
In the freezer can you pls let me know for sure tnks🤔.
Hi there! Glad you liked the video :) Yes, you can freeze glass containers, just follow these tips - abetterwaytothrive.com/freezing-in-glass-no-more-broken-jars/ I follow them and haven't had any issues. Hope that helps!
I just checked out the post on freezing jars. Excellent!! Thank you.
Watching your video, I noticed you had a lot of glass jars in your freezer. You recommend storing stuff in glass jars?
Hi Shawn! Yes, I often store some vegetables in mason jars to keep them fresher.
You can easily freeze bananas just the way they are , don’t peel them , but place them individually in a plastic bag .
Please talk about vitamin B12 how to include it every day.
hi there! I talk about Vitamin B12 in this video :) ruclips.net/video/NX2nJ1s_DmM/видео.html
Nooo!! Now, I'm also craving all these sweet desserts you showed. ^^" Thank you for sharing!!
hehe i know, i'm sorry! i just had some vegan ice cream this afternoon :)
Love your videos😍
Aww thank you so much, Trin! I really appreciate that!

Great informative and inspirational vid. you posted it on Britney Spears' Bday.
Great video ! Where did you get your silicone ice code trays?
Hi Nicole, I get them on Amazon! The medium sized trays are here: amzn.to/2qUyDhE and the large sized trays are here: amzn.to/2CTp0kG Hope that helps!
RainbowPlantLife yes that does help. thank you ❤️❤️❤️
Is there a reason you freeze in glass jars?
Just trying to phase out plastic containers in my life!
Buying berries fresh is a dream in Australia haha there 7$ for a 200g punnet as aposed to $7 kg frozen
Girl I just throw them bananas together in a bag lol.
haha i feel you! just trying to reduce my use of plastic :)
How do those glass jars not crack in the freezer?
Hi there. I always wait to cool my liquids before adding them to the jars and I don't fill them up all the way. Here are some more tips to help prevent glass jars from breaking in the freezer: abetterwaytothrive.com/freezing-in-glass-no-more-broken-jars/
RainbowPlantLife Thank you so much ☺
👌
Instant like and sub! Beauty N Brains, ohsum! 😍👍👏🔥
I found out by accident that you can freeze hummus. The texture stays exactly the same once defrosted.
that’s So good to know! I always have hummus on hand! Sometimes too much lol
Please, please, no background music!!
My freezer is definitely too small. :/
I hate bananas 🍌😂
❤️ ✿❧🌿❧✿ ❤️
Oh honey, sugar in “ice cream”, maple syrup, powdered sugar is not healthy.
Really? You buy your berries fresh and freeze them youself? That seems silly, seeing as how most frozen berries are fresh frozen.
I do that in the summer when I buy tons of fresh berries and can't finish them all. So I can enjoy them in winter :)
Love your videos💙💙
