Bursts in through the door, calls her place a tip, calls her a slag and threatens to have her arms broken!
But he got the info he wanted so it’s a result and into the nearest pub for a large scotch and a couple of smokes. 😂

@Jack Johnston: Yes we know this is fiction, but programmes like this wouldn't get past the PC brigade of censors today. In fact it was a bit controversial even at the time, it is based loosely upon the real-life Flying Squad.

The real Flying Squad called this programme ‘training films’. I love the line “shared a Peter with him...” cockney rhyming isn’t just slang, it’s a code. Peter = prison cell. How? Cell = Tinkerbell, Tinkerbell was a friend of Peter Pan. Hence Peter = Prison cell. I know, right?

@@jane1975 lol you're right, Morse isn't to my liking! When you've seen Thaw play Reagan, nothing else compares - he brings the character to life so beautifully. Only he could be envisaged as Reagan (the modern film remake was absolute rubbish, as they often are). It's like Martin Shaw and The Professionals - undoubtedly his best ever role (and the one whe will always be associated with) yet he hated it and prefers to be known as a luvvie.
Anyway - the Sweeney. Classic TV that I actually welcome repeats of from the golden age of tv.
