Awesome! I love your channel ❤ I am a "pro" hammock camper, family tradition down south where im from, and i discovered my talent for ropes at a young age. Recently, i became homeless, and i live in the city. Ive been stealth camping with a hammock for years, mainly to try out Do-It-Yourself gear i make, for hammock camping. Ive been stealth camping in local Hill top public parks, some urbanized and one wild. I was inside of a california redwood tree, 10ft up and no one could see me unless they were under the tree! And no other homeless people, or worse, could get to me up there. I slept very well and even pitched my tarp up there. Getting inside the tree involved parkour, and set up was almost like the old time sail ships, with the climbing and rigging. Hammocks are difficult to hide! Im taking a page out of birds and nesting my hammock ontop of hills, or places with sloping ground, or inside of large trees. So far, so good. I am safe from the dangerous drug addicts in my city, nested away in hammock bird nests.
i'm sorry to hear you're homless, but glad that you seem to be managing so well :0 have you got any tips for setting a hammock up high? i've tried once and found out it's really hard to get into a hammock without being able to touch the ground. Even with a loadbearing ridgeline
Hey man why you are homeless? If you want to work , please come to Eastern Europe, we need so many native English teachers. You will get not bad money and respect, just think about it
Hi Claire. Thank you so much for all your videos! I love every one. I hate giving unsolicited advice as much as I do receiving it so I will just share my hammock experience and let everyone camp their own camp. I found that in a gathered end hammock(not the trough type with the spreader bars) that if I lay in it diagonally, then I can lay very flat rather than have my neck and spine curved like a banana . It feels weird at first because we don't normally sleep in a bed or on a mat that way. It has greatly improved my comfort while hammock camping. Give it a go if you like. You might find that it makes your hammock adventures even more comfy and cozy. Thanks again Claire!
My hammock says to do this, but I can't figure it out, to be honest - the automatic bundling up of the hammock always presses me so I end up straight, unless I lay down practically horizontally, but then my head and feet don't fit in. How do you manage it so you stay in that diagonal position?
@@xthinker88 I've always found if you are reasobably tall a double gathered end hammock helps tremendously in getting that diagonal or ' Brazilian lay' spot on due to the extra width it affords. Another good trick is to experiment with the amount of sag until you get it dialled in pefectly. Once you've found that sweet spot you can attach an adjustable structural ridgeline made from dynema cord to make the process easily repeatable each time when setting up your suspension webs or whoopee slings.
Claire your ability to try anything keeps us glued to your videos. it never gets boring and you explain everything in a way that makes it a pleasure to watch. thank you for being you 🙏💜
Very nice, Claire. It was nice seeing you out in nice spring weather. Also, nice to see you out without the wind and rain. I had to laugh, you trying to set up your camp and be so stealthy, lower the hammock, put up the camo netting, then put up your lights. I suppose if those were walking trails, there wouldn't be many walkers after dark. You're a beautiful, courageous young lady. It will be nice to see what you have in store for us this spring and summer. God bless you, young lady, and stay safe on your adventures.

Claire, I had to giggle more than a few times watching you put up your hammock. Been there more times than I care to admit. But, there is something to be had when everything finally works, you fall in, and all is right in the world! 😃
Fab vid Claire. Amazing camo nets for bare woodland leaf surroundings. Tip for hammock sleeping is to position head and feet diagonally which reduces the bend of your back. Also a foam mat in there helps (can cut mat corners off if you want). Inspired me to get mine out again xx
Hey my lovely wild friend! What a relaxing little camp, that looked amazing! So lovely to see the sunshine and actual, real life signs of spring! Finally!!!! 🥰🥰🥰
Love the hammock setup....just roll out of bed for morning coffee. And it beats falling out of a top bunkbed in the middle of the night. I picked up the same alcohol stove 2 mths back and fell in love with it. One word of warning though (just found out the hard way!) The rubber o-ring generally doesn't fall out and holds up well if you let the stove cool first...no leaks. But once the stove gets carbonized/dirty it can stick to the rim of stove, and in low light you MAY not see it! I didn't, only to smell plastic burning...argh! Time for a new stove or 2.

Well done another great adventure. Have a tip for you. I spotted when you wanted to get the hammock higher you pushed the tree huggers' up Well you had whoopee slings on the end of the hammock and you can raise and lower it with them. I'm assuming the hammock is new and you haven't used it before because I watch all your videos and don't remember you ever in one before. However, all that being said you did a great job. 👍👍👍👍
I've been camping since the early 80's, as a Cadet, then in the military and now roof top tent camping - I have been all over the Brecon Beacons, Dartmoor, Lake and Peak District, Snowdonia and there is something so magical about it and a feeling that never leaves you. It allows me to do a lot of photography and filming and appreciate the finer things in life - it is so refreshing seeing you bringing these delights to so many and keeping the magic going - May it long continue, keep well and stay safe and thank you.
Used to this quite often a few years ago with a couple friends of mine. String the hammocks up in a sort of triangle formation - each one under an Australian hoochie tarp then chuck a cammo' net over.
Glad to see you camping in some decent weather for a change. My son always takes a hammock when he’s solo camps. We’ve always had hammocks at the house to relax in and he loves sleeping in one.
Hi sweetie i dont use an under quilt i use a foam bedroll on the inside then a big heavy fishing sleeping bag yes this is why i stopped using a tent only my place where i go between 2 trees and half the time i get visited by a horse who tends to lay under my tarp only it f--ts a lot so i hope the wind blows the other way 😁😁😁
The dogs know!! I was waiting for them to sniff out the chocolate breakfast. :) Cool video. Thanks for sharing! Some camo netting will be in my future.
Nice to see you back out looked nice and dry hope you enjoyed your self no frank with you never mind looked a nice night stay safe one life enjoy blessed be

Think this is my first comment on one of your vids but I've been lurking subscribed and liking for a couple of years. What a nice, warm hearted fun little vid this was. It just struck me that I enjoyed every minute of it so thought I should say so really. So, well done! I bought a tent and trekology mats and bits a year ago but chickened out on a wild camp, just stayed in the garden 😂 Plan now it's getting warmer is to start with a camp site in the Lakes and then give a wild one a go 🙈 Looking forward to your next big hike through the bogs up the side of an unpronounceable Welsh mountain soon. 😎

So much space in there too. You was cooking 'inside'! You made that really cosy in the end and didn't sleep on the hard floor. I learned about Muntjac too, on the internet and decided you are a little Muntjac! Great video.

Ahh sorry you had a rough day, hope today is better :) thanks for watching my lil video 🌿🐻

Beautiful…Smart & cozy…What a great combo 👍🏻🤩🌞😎
Good luck on your future hammock x
Thank goodness, a new WildBeare. Something to watch finally.
Hi sweetie i dont use an under quilt i use a foam bedroll on the inside then a big heavy fishing sleeping bag yes this is why i stopped using a tent only my place where i go between 2 trees and half the time i get visited by a horse who tends to lay under my tarp only it f--ts a lot so i hope the wind blows the other way 😁😁😁
Thank you for making videos, I really enjoy seeing those. They feel cute, genuine, warm and fresh air.
You’re a special kind of crazy - and I love it! I always enjoy your videos and look forward to the next one. Take care and stay safe. x
The most radiant, humbly beautiful camper out there…!!!!!!
That was a harvestmen nom nom nomming on a woodlouse, btw. 😉 Great videos. Love stealth camping!
The dogs know!! I was waiting for them to sniff out the chocolate breakfast. :) Cool video. Thanks for sharing! Some camo netting will be in my future.

Hammock camping is awesome for me too. It's the best nap I've ever had as well. ❤ Hammock life is good.
Well done Claire, you did a great job this being your first try. I love hearing the birds but I don't know what kind they are. I like to do card games when I camp. Thank you for sharing this wonderful trip. Have a wonderful day and stay safe.
Your videos always make me smile. Thanks
Think this is my first comment on one of your vids but I've been lurking subscribed and liking for a couple of years.
What a nice, warm hearted fun little vid this was. It just struck me that I enjoyed every minute of it so thought I should say so really. So, well done!
I bought a tent and trekology mats and bits a year ago but chickened out on a wild camp, just stayed in the garden 😂 Plan now it's getting warmer is to start with a camp site in the Lakes and then give a wild one a go 🙈
Looking forward to your next big hike through the bogs up the side of an unpronounceable Welsh mountain soon. 😎
I love camping, and the topics of Ms Claire's videos resonate with me. All I can say is that I reaisze the creation of these videos is very tine and skill intensive - so thanks - please keep it up!
Hah loved the out takes at the end! Keep on keeping on Claire/Clare
I also love hammock camping. I have a camo hammock and dark green tarp. I think your setup is much better than mine.
So much space in there too. You was cooking 'inside'! You made that really cosy in the end and didn't sleep on the hard floor. I learned about Muntjac too, on the internet and decided you are a little Muntjac! Great video.
Thank you for the lovely vid, Claire bear! I'm so glad that you brought back the pop outs and outtakes!
I think I need to try the hammock thing it looks fun. Nothing like a nature reset. 👍😁
Of all your videos that I've watched, and I'm pretty sure I've watched them all, I love your stealth ones the best. Good stuff, keep it coming! 👍
That was amazing how close to the path you were and no one saw you! Great fun!!!
Hahahaaaaa....love your humour Claire. ❤ Another great video 👌👍
I love the way you solve problems and even discomforts! And your disposition is always pleasant!
