i would love to say that i have had acne for about 2 years now, and i tried everything. glycolic acid, lactic acid, niacinamide, bha aha masks, benzol peroxide, i mean the list goes on and on. i just tried this serum and after a few days i woke up this morning after using and my skin was nearly perfect, i still have a bit of texture but oh my god, im starstruck.
They finally brought it back 😭 they took it down around the time I've learned salicylic acid is what my skin needs and there weren't really any other cheaper alternatives. I bought Paula's choice one, from the CLEAR like and well for me it wasn't such a game changer as I thought it would be. Cleanser with bha did much better job for me - I was so reluctant to try it, I regret I got it not so long ago 😭 buuut when I finish Paula's choice one I am definitely going to try this one from TO! I think it's going to be great🙏 thank you for the video!❤️
Hi Cathy. Thanks to your video's I started using Paula's Choice BHA but the gel version and OMG the results in just 3 weeks is amazing. I only use it at night but my friends who have never mentioned my skin have started giving me compliments about how fresh, clear and young my skin looks so I am over the moon. Thank you so so much as I have suffered with mild acne for ever and now I just look...well...happy :-)
Great video. The anhydrous version is such a pain in the ass to use for me. My skin isn't desert dry, so it takes hours for it to absorb to some good enough degree, and it means I need to use my AHA first, because oils go on towards the end. With this product I can do the BHA and then the AHA, and I can use it in the morning too, since my skin won't be oily and annoying. Also because it's in an oil, I think that's why it does I think literally nothing for me. I need that oil to get out of the damn way of the salicylic acid. Seeing reviews get the 2 mixed up is annoying to see, and in my country there's retailers who don't even know it exists yet, and it's been over 2 months since it released. They just know about the anhydrous version. The confusion is really unfortunate for people with oily skin (and salicylic acid is primarily going to be utilised by them).
Please share your advise to me! This is my current routine right now can you tell me if this is okay and in this order? 1. CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser 2. The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning solution applied with cotton pad not rinsed off 3. Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA liquid applied with cotton pad not rinsed off 4. Mario Badescu Vitamin C Serum mixed with The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% + a couple drops of Isle of Paradise Tanning Glow drops + CeraVe Resurfacing Retinol Serum (At night only) 5. CeraVe Daily Moisturizing lotion Face and body I do this exact routine daily in the morning and night. I have hormonal acne-combination skin and sensitive skin, I’m almost 30. I’d like your advice please!
concerned about having two exfoliators in one routine especially night and day. it would be better i think to better to seperate them to day and night maybe the ordinary in the day because its a daily toner and the paulas at night. But do what your skin feels best and what it can handle just some tips from my experience :)
Never had the old one, but ordered this one. I have the mini size of paula's choice bha, but because of the price, I can't use that as much as I want. Btw, you have the cuuuuuuuuuutest teeth 🥰
@@sadiajafrinn Hey there, yes i did I’ve tried many salicylic acids, this one, the paula’s choice one, the glow recipe one, and the ordinary anhydrous salicylic acid one. They were all good, but i much prefer one that doesn’t feel kind of greasy on my face, or my hair doesn’t stick to it. The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Solution was definitely my favourite. The finish is similar to the ordinary niacinamide serum. And since it doesn’t feel greasy, i can easily use it as a spot treatment too.
Hi, Cathy! Can I use Paula's Choice BHA @% lotion and then use Paula's choice 15% Vitamin C booster? If not, what toner can I use before Vitamin C, please? Many thanks!
Hi cathy I am using the 2%salicylic acid masque of ordinary once a week and its good Is this better than the masque Can I use vit c of ordinary after the salicylic acid masque
I really want to know cuz the masque has really been helping me. My skin was like 70/80% cleat from tretinoin and adapalene bit with this mask its 90% clear. But the bottle empties very quickly so I'd rather use a different salicylic acid product.

Evening 1.wash face with water 2.panoxyl acne foaming cleanser 3.The ordinary niacinamide serum 4.The ordinary azelaic acid 5.cera ve moisturizing cream Hope you can help!
i bought the paulas choice 2% bha liquid exfoliate (glad i started with the travel size) but i can only use it 2x a week and for my stubborn acne its not really the best. if i bought the ordinary salcylic acid would i have to stop using the paulas choice exfoliant?
@@rocky-yu3bx i never ended up buying the the ordinary salcylic acid, but i did buy their glycolic acid toner. not AS good as the paulas choice bha, but its cheaper for more product and it does work well!
Damn, I used to buy it for 18 dollars, even though it is also cheap, but I feel like they are fooling me, but the problem is that it is available at this price in all local stores.
I used Paulas Choice Exfoliant but ran out and its out of stock my skin is almost better so can I dump other options and start this for night before moisturising?
I feel like that would be too stripping for your face. I’m not an expert but if u think about it salicylic acid is used for light exfoliation as it removes dirt and oil deep down in your pores.

Honest and straight to the point review.
What would you recommend in general, this or Paula's Choice 2% BHA exfoliant
I was just about to ask that too
Do you think the ordinary 2% Salicylic Acid is better than paula's choice? or vise versa?
For me I prefer the ordinary one cause the paulas choice is way more expensive and have an oil finish after it, my oily skin prefer TO one.

You shouldn't use retinol with vit C or any other exfoliant.
u can wash it off then apply something else right
i was afraid my product was a bad one or smth but i'm glad that the soapy consistence is normal and i just have to apply a bit less 😂
can i layer it with niacinamide 10% serum? also can it also be used alongside hyaluronic acid 2%?
