I love how unapologetic this franchise is.
It knows what it is and what it's for and fully leans into it.
I suppose this was the campy era of gaming with titles like Lollypop Chainsaw, Bayonetta and Dynasty Warriors going full camp.
You totally need to react to Dynasty Warriors, so much fun and badass.
I wish I could play Bayonetta 2 but they did a Kingdom Hearts and only released it exclusively on a handheld platform for no apparent reason.

Lollipop Chainsaw is a ton of fun. There's actually a remake in development, though if I remember correctly, they have to remove the licensed music. Whichever version you end up playing, you'll have a great time.
You should definitely also check out No More Heroes. It has kinda a similar vibe, and was made by the same guy as this (Suda 51).
We will probably wait for the remake since we have a long gaming list to be it through 😅

This is a very underrated game. its a sleeper hit. its one of those games where everyone knew about it and at the same time not enough knew about it. its so cringe but it works and it has amazing bad ass music from like the 80s and beyond. the boss fights are crazy and it is such a crazy game. The producer Suda 51 makes a lot of weird and crazy games like this that i HIGHLY recommend you play as well with this. Alongside Lollipop chainsaw, The two I recommend you play are:
( Killer is Dead )- You play in a future earth where cybernetics are a normal thing. Your a supernatural swordsman killing evil moon creatures, along with funny and sexy side missions seducing girls. Next is: ( Shadows of the Damned )- You play as a Spanish demon hunter who goes to hell to bring back his girlfriend who was kidnapped by the king of demons. Alongside his transforming demon sidekick who acts as his demonic gun. These games are underrated and a must play. Loads of laughs.

Now this is a surprise. Can't wait for the remake, hopefully it stays true to the original. Yes the game was written by Suda5 and James Gunn, unfortunately they are not a part of the remake happening. Such a shame they never made it backward compatible. And Juliet is obviously voiced by modern Harley, Tara Strong.
Hopefully they don’t lose what made it special with the remake 🤔 would feel better about it if James Gunn was still involved but that’s probably pricey 🤑

FUN FACT: The person voicing Juliet (Tara Strong) voices and has voiced many famous cartoon characters over the years. These include Raven from Teen Titans, Bubbles from Powerpuff Girls, Timmy Turner from Fairly Odd Parents, Ben Tennyson from Ben Ten, and Twilight Sparkle from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic! She is very multi-talented.
She is also Miss Minute in Loki.
Shadows of the Damned is another super underrated Suda 51 game

I forgot about this game, I played one of them before though! It was great
I have it on PS3 and still take it for a spin sometimes... If there is a cult for this, i am that proud cultist... First of alL it was a fun game, and had imaginative creativity to make things work, Exampe: she needs to be talking to her boyfriend throughout to show their love and reationship and also, to give out expositions, but he cannot just hand around when she is fighting, well, but he can literally hand on to her as a talking head, that is also a unique signature trade mark of Juliet starling, it's clever, and stylist, not to mention badass as heck!! As for the complaints some reviewers have had, well, you need to keep playing and perfect your skills to really enjoy the gameplay, it does not have any jankiness or control issues, I never faced any (though i admit i found it tough to play the 1st time) but with practice I found it challenging but fun and all achievement were well earned... I bought all the moves and all the bonus factors, You get an HP increasing lollipop after intervals so you keep your bar full, but let me tell you, when I was in my 3rd play (and henceforth) I would hardly loose the last two of the lollipops on the HP bar, every time I reached the energy pop... I even learned to time the roulette, did you do that? I could mix and match moves and make relentless and efffective (not to menion beautiful) fight choreography.... I would time the "Star-soul" power and plan it to use it the most effectively, without wasting it when it was full and filling it again before the next more drastic battle... I bought all the moves, all the songs and powerups, and then the costumes... The story though short has an arc and yes, i agree the game is short because i feel it ends up too soon leaving me wanting for more. Wished we got a sequeal, I wanted to play at least a section as "Cordelia" as a sniper. and I love Juliet, she is a badass, while being pure of heart and equally soft at heart for whom see cares for... Her anger and cheerful laughter are well placed and adorably acted... I am so glad they did not change her appearance cause that is her identity... Just so you know my other favorite games (which as a habit, to perfect my play and gain all trophies and achievement I yearn to master) are God of war 1,2,3, Resident Evil 4, The Last of us 1 and 2, Uncharted 1-4, Sniper Elite 4, Max Payne 1-3, Batman Arkaham asylum and city, Sleeping Dogs, Tekken 5, Sniper Ghost Warrior, Lara Croft tomb raider Underworld, Lara croft Tomb raider Legend, Tomb raider 2013, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Saints Row 4, COD, Resident Evil revelation, Need for speed hot pursuit, among others...
I wish you would’ve gotten a sequel.

You guys should really check out No More Heroes. It's actually done hy the same director (Suda51) and developers (Grasshopper). It's sorta deadpool-ish but the story is a little more serious with its themes and symbolism but is still light hearted for the most part. Would he a good "Journey" series for the channel.
I recommend also reacting to the No More Heroes series, a series made by Grasshopper Manufacture, the Lollipop Chainsaw devs, which has just as much, if not more personality.

This reaction was tons of fun, but acquiring the game to play might be difficult until the remake comes out. Since we're in Halloween season, please consider Max0r's Bloodborne video and World Of Warcraft's Darkest Secret by Hexagon for dark spooky fun. You will not be disappointed.

React to life is strange. Many people think is an overrated game, but everyone i know who played it didnt have great expetation, but they change their mind after play it.

I honestly still feel totally DUPED by WB Games' misleading/"joke" preorder information. I could've cared less that we (obviously weren't going to get an exact life sized fully controllable replica. They honestly OW(ED) us at least maybe a fully posable, accessible figurine or something. You simply just DON'T "joke" about preorder word/promises, additions, etc. Hell, this "special" edition NEVER even released/came to fruition FFS!
Lil late but the soundtrack in this game SLAPS. Jimmy Urine, lead singer of MSI had a hand in making the soundtrack plus he voices the first boss in the game, and tbh learning that is the sole reason I listened to the boss themes. My favorite 3 are zedds theme, vikkes, and lewis legends.
I played this, sadly never beat it. Got to the last level when my controller died and haven't finished it. I might go back to it.
It's a fun game, challenging a bit to get the controls down. But once you do it's a blast to play. I'm sad it never got a sequel, definitely deserves it.

But however the fun part about this was the bosses and I hope u see the bosses for this game they are funny and interesting it's up too you two if u ever decide to make a video on the bosses for this game see the gameplay of it and yes her boyfriend as she was saying was bit and is a decapitated head hanging on her butt as she killing zombies which was hilarious but cute as he learns about what she is.

Oh wow, can't believe you guys actually reacted to this! I seem to recall suggesting this myself a while ago, I think maybe around this time last year. I love this game, it is just as much fun to play as it looks. The combat system has a surprising amount of depth to it, while also still favoring button mashing, so Bethany should be in heaven with it!😁
Yes, Juliet's chainsaw is bedazzled, and yes, it is in fact also a gun, among other things. It also has a built-in phone and sound system, so Juliet can both keep in touch with her family, and blast tunes while slaying zombies! It's strongly implied that's what the soundtrack/background music is, is Juliet actually playing the music, considering you can purchase new BGM tracks in game using the in game currency you earn in various ways.
It's a hack and slashy action game, certain similarities to DMC, particularly in how the story plays out(mission/chapter based) and how character progression works (earn in game currency to purchase new attacks, weapons, outfits, etc.) Juliet is a total badass who also just happens to be an attractive, blonde, just turned 18 year old cheerleader, I think some people felt it was over-sexualized, which may have hurt sales when it first came out. Her sisters are just as badass in their own ways, as is their dad. As is Juliet's sensei, who wasn't shown in any of these trailers, there were a few not in this compilation, including one showcasing the Zombie Lords(the bosses), each of whom is based around a different genre of music. Oh yeah, all the original music in the game was written and performed by Jimmy Urine, front man of the band Mindless Self Indulgence. There's also a handful of licensed songs.
The story in this game is indeed deliciously absurd, and the dialogue and humor is top notch. James Gunn was indeed involved in this game, I'm pretty sure he was the lead writer. The other main creative force was a man known as Suda51, one of my absolute favorite game designers. He is known and loved for making highly absurd, over the top, surreal action games with massive amounts of mind screw, as well as large doses of 4th wall breaking, which helps add to the mind screw. Believe it or not, this game is actually rather straightforward and tame compared to his usual standards. For some of Suda51's other, even crazier games, I highly recommend Killer7, No More Heroes, Shadows of the Damned, and Killer Is Dead. All definitely worth checking out.
As for Lollipop Chainsaw, would definitely love to see you guys play, only good luck finding it, very hard to come across these days. Luckily, I've heard they're remaking it, so may be the perfect opportunity. Something to keep in mind if and when you do play it is that it's rather short, relatively speaking(which is my only real complaint about it, wish it was longer). And I mean short to the point it where I'd say it would be more than possible to complete it in a single stream. As I said earlier, it's chapter based, and there are 6 chapters, plus a prologue, so really 7 chapters, I guess, with the last chapter literally being just the final boss, getting to then fighting him. The prologue takes maybe 15 minutes or so, the other chapters MAYBE half an hour to 45 minutes or so, depending on how quickly you get into the swing of things. There is one section called Zombie Baseball that will absolutely piss you off and make you want to smash your heads against the nearest hard object. All that said, it is a fun game well worth playing, and again, would love to see you play it.
Quick related side note: did you notice the name of the fictional California town/high school the game takes place in? I'll tell you: San Romero! 3 guesses who it was named for, and the first 2 don't count!
