These whole house tannin filters will get rid of that brown water and those stains for your family.
Hey Gary, we have a tannin filter and some days the water is perfect and other days the water is discoloured. Should we change the settings to regen more often? Our brine tank is shared with our water softener as well
I do not recommend a shared brine tank for this very reason. Also, the tannin filter must regenerate every 3 days, minimum.
I will try bumping it up to every 2 days and see if it makes a difference. Is there a reason why they should not share a brine tank?@@GarytheWaterGuy
Color still seems to be coming in my water despite adding a separate brine and bumping it up to every 2 days. Do all tannin filters come with the proper media installed? I got mine through a local well company, but I’m not getting much support with my issues
My softener doesn’t run every 2 days, perhaps I should have that running prior to the tannin every 2 days?
