I just wanted to comment on the Android charger tip you recommended and would actually advise NOT doing this. I did it with one of my controllers before and it actually caused the battery to expand and it got to the point where it wouldn't hold a charge anymore and I had to have it plugged in while I used it.

The voltage of the android phone charger needs to be 5V then it will not have problems charging the Dualshock 4.

1:35 i think 3 Hours is a better choice because your controller will be fully charged within 3 hours so you wouldnt waste electricity (even if it is not much)

Use an SSD as internal drive
Call of duty has always slowed down my ps4 xmb when i'm playing. It's something to do with call of duty for example i was playing infamous and the xmb was fast to load
@@seanbrackett2 install an SSD, that's what I have done.. it makes the menu lag vanish
Call of duty especially the new one does strain the old ps4 resources.. have the fan on top speed also while running

Use a Powerbank for those really long gaming Pinnacle activity sessions, like content such as Raids or PvP. Always use the 1 AMP port and make sure that your controller receives no more than 5 volts. 6 volts will burn out your controller battery and ruin the controller completely to point where it may not even be able to hold a charge any longer, or in worse and even extreme situations the battery may expand in size and become puffy; potentially destroying plastic and it's surrounding housing as it will start to slowly over time, burst out the controller shell, cracking it apart, and the battery could even potentially explode, so always use 5 volts and you'll be golden.

I've been charging my controller with a Samsung phone (Galaxy 7) fast charger for quite some time. So far without any issue.
Same bro, been using my samsung tablet charger for probably 4 years now, no issue and controller still holds charge and last ages before next charge.
My samsung fast charger messed up one of my controllers. just be careful because it can happen.

1:16 this one doesn’t really help at all, I have taken apart PS4 Controllers and the led is actually extremely surprisingly small and doesn’t draw that much power, and without its pieces of plastic that amplify the light it’s not that bright

I used to use the android wall plug "hack" but they tend to ruin the overall battery life of the controller over time

Restoring licenses does work, I literally just had a problem with downloading a game, and I restored the license and it worked. If it still doesn’t work for you, change your DNS, I hope that helped 😊

so i have a ps4 slim, it’s only a year old and recently it’s been slow, laggy, and sometimes freezes. i’ve rebuilt the database multiple times seeing if that would work and it does for a few days but comes back to being the same slow, and laggy state. anything i can do to fix it?

@RileyGibson Idk about your PS but If I hold down the share button I get the option to save the last 30 min (or 15 min. If you choose) of gameplay or take a screenshot or upload.

3 hours is enough to charge the controller. I usually plug the controller when I go to sleep, then on the morning I plug in my wireless headset and log in just to see If any game has updates.

Hey man I had a question so my PS4 pro recently has been freezing and laggy bad and I can’t even play a game without it doing it or my PS4 shuts off completely. Also takes forever to restart it and to come on. I did the rebuild the data base and I did an initialize reset and still does the same thing. Do I need to upgrade the hard drive ? Wait @john glasscock. I thought Sony even recommends no longer putting your ps4's in rest mode? That it will damage/destroy your system basically.. is this true? It's something I've heard and have just been told not to do basically because it will harm your system..
