don't quit your job even though you hate it, you need it to build resilience. you should not be so irritated with others. learning to deal with others is an integral part of growing up. you should quit your job when you build a substantial yt fan base or get steady work in art or translation.
I'm pretty sure that somewhere during his journey some one felt the need to say the same garbage. You see if this kid of advice actually worked we wouldn't have any reason to hide.
Ruby Violet I agree with you. I feel like I wasted at least 7 years of my life, more probably, working with mean people. I think long term it was bad for me. I suppose the advice is good for some.
yea my co workers were ruthless virtue signaling people who would gossip and ruin people for saying things that were not politically correct. Their pettiness was beyond anything I had ever seen. It really shook me because I don't understand social cues as easily as others. Why not educate me instead of trying to ruin my life yaknow? Ugh I'm still recovering from this abuse. I eventually had to record them without their knowledge to get people to understand that they had motives that were not only illegal but hypocritical. They were bullies. They were angry that I chose to stay with a guy who cheated on me.
I'm the only extrovert in my household and the way you explain your social interactions helps me understand why my daughter acts the way she does. I have zero anxiety when meeting new people because I love figuring out what we have in common and things we can share with each other. I tell her all the time sharing something you love is normally really easy and that's the feeling I get every time I meet someone. You are soooo talented. It would be a shame if you missed an opportunity because it takes so long for you to warm up. Also, never downplay your skills. You are worth every penny and if you speak about your love for your work will make it so much easier to negotiate your rates!!! I'm glad I ran across your channel. Sending love from the US
I really hope everything works out for you. I see parts of myself when I watch your videos ..I'm glad things are starting to come together for you :) do what you feel is right!!
Stop thinking you are not good enough. You are talented, and your dry sense of humor is funny. I really enjoy watching and listening to you. The thing's that come out of your mouth is funny and at times I cant believe you really just said that. You have avout 49,000 people subscribed to you. People ate interested and fascinated on what you are going to say next. I cant stoo laughinh in my Jess about the time you said a girl looked like a werthers original melting in the sun. 😂😂😂 where do u come up with these comparisons. Keep the stories comming. I checked your art channel. There are no videos
I'm glad ur finally realizing ur goals and using ur skills to improve ur craft to start a good opportunity of maybe making a living of what u enjoy doing! Don't be afraid to step out of ur comfort zone and try new things and talk to new people! Don't doubt urself, being insecure can stop u from being the best version of u. Keep making videos, u can inspire people who r going through the same struggles ♡
Hi Daniel, Being watching you on RUclips and get to know who you are. I have to say you're the most articulate, thoughtful, one of a decent human being here on this planet. Just keep on doing you are doing. Also do watch a video by Louis Rossmann on RUclips where he gives advice on how to deal with depression and being independent. I think his advice is the best method to get rid of depression and life in generals. good luck.
Hi Daniel, you might want to go sign up at upwork.com and guru.com as well for translation work. Those sites should get you higher rates =) Keep up the optimism!
Sooo cool!!! You could help me teach some Japanese, basic stuff to me and my student here in Brazil. Dream Big With Me is a social project. Yeah, so cool and strange. So happy you met George!!!
Cyrus Johnson I know it's hard to believe. But ambiverts are just less talked about. By a lot. I'm an ambivert as well, but I connect with my introverted side more than my extroverted side. We do exist 😐
I KINDA LIKE TO VENT A LOT, OKAY? Being an ambivert means you have certain characteristics of both an introvert and extrovert. Everyone is different. Like for me for example; I love going out and having fun. Talking and hanging out with my friends. I will be the attention seeker. But it has a limit, and an exception. I can only go on for about 30 min. to a few hours before I'm done with the entire thing. On rare occasions, it happens almlat instantly. And this is only with people I already know and am comfortable with. Including family. I absolutely dread having to meet new people and will avoid it at all costs. Out of it all though, I enjoy me time the most. I love being by myself the most. My company is the best company for me. That's being an ambivert.
Don't allow others to make your decisions for you. Especially from people you don't know on the net. Yes seek advice from family and friends. But you must make the final decision. As an introvert you are well qualified to think the problem/situation thru. If I do A what will happen next, if I do B what will happen next, if I do C what will happen next. If necessary write down a list of positive and negative results for each option available to you. [I use to do this] Generally you will find that the list with the most positives is the best option to take - but not always.
I think if you are serious about building up your art portfolio you should quit your job towards the end or after summer. u could also start an etsy account selling your art if your interested in doing that. I know some people make art and then don't have a place to/don't want to keep it so that could be a good idea to make money, motivate urself to make more art, and spread ur name alittle bit as an artist.
you guys should have talked japanese, I bet that would have been funny for any people nearby hearing 2 white people speaking fluent japanese in london....wait what is your ethnicity/background?
Daniel have you ever tried to work a 100 hour work week for a year, whilst living with your parents [with 0 expenses] and then spending all the money on travel and a VTI. ? I love your channel good luck.
Ah don't be intimidated by London..us Londoners are a friendly bunch ^_^ Although I have to say, I wouldn't want to hang around certain areas in the evening. Translation jobs can be paid well! My mum was a professional for 20 years & got £35 per hour for German or Portuguese into English, but this was 5 years ago, so pay might be higher now. Best of luck :)
Hi~ Another thing...be sure you're getting the money you deserve for your work. So many times people undervalue what they do probably thinking that people won't want to hire them because they're charging too much. Like someone else said her,. it can take hours to translate something depending on how much content there is, I have a friend who does Spanish translations and he charges 15 USD for a simple two page project... for a comic book 35 USD and 10 USD per hour for larger projects such as books and longer translations.
You pulled your hair back once. Could you do it again for a video? It revealed more of your face and if I remember correctly, your forehead/hairline was a nice addition to your face. Just a thought.
You could have votes in the comments to find out what your viewers think, but ultimately decide for yourself. That way you get good advice and don't get fucked over by idiotic consensus.
Can't stop binge watching your videos!
been binge-watching ever since I first stumbled across one of 'em about half a year ago, can't stop, considering going to rehab

Ruby Violet I don't think I understand social cues very well either so people take advantage.
Don't go with majority votes for your life plans; majorities don't necessarily make correct decisions. Trust yourself and your own intuition.
Imagine wearing a one size fits all t shirt. It works but it’s not really fit for you.
dude don't tell your boss you're thinking of quitting so early. give them a month if you are really going to quit. a month is plenty

Some services charge between 0.08-0.18 USD per word. You can use that as a base for translation fees. Keep in mind, we are our own worst critics.
You see... that's called a "friend."
Any introverts out there?
I really hope everything works out for you. I see parts of myself when I watch your videos ..I'm glad things are starting to come together for you :) do what you feel is right!!
oh wow! congratulations on reaching 1000+ subscribers!! You should come to south west London sometime ^^

Until you get paid more for translating I don't think it's a good idea to quit your petrol station job.
i'm actually an ambivert, so i can easily switch between the two.
No such thing as an ambivert
