I actually have something that looks sort of similar but it’s way more sporty or I have a ninja ZX 12 that’s decked out with the Touring bags in the back. It’s actually pretty crazy. I wish I could show somebody a picture of it down here but I have the capability of going 186 miles an hour on it and it looks like a BMW touring bike with a 1200 cc ninja motor on it.
Was in a parade and there were kids asking for burnouts so I held it on the limiter until my legs were burning from the hot engine. Has survived massive abuse. Next video is a little sad tho…going to hopefully limp it out of the woods today

That motor sounded so good revving out like that, I'd love to have that motor for a VW Baja, or something.

I've definitely taken my 1500 GW in sketchy areas during IronButt rallies. Worst was a muddy bean field locating the "Little Fellows Grave" in Clark SD. If anyone here has done any Minnesota 1000 rallies you probably know about this spot. I salute you for doing this video!
Not a Honda engineer but I can say that we all love seeing people do insane stuff with what we design. For me it's watching people overclock the balls off of chips I helped fabricate. There's a picture of a 13900KS pegged to 9.1ghz on my desk. I'm sure some Honda engineer has a still from this video framed.

Much respect on riding that beast on the trails and sand you've been on! I've had a few GoldWings, but never even thought about taking them across anything more than a cow pasture out to the MX track. Can't wait to see what other adventures you have in mind for it.

Beautiful man, you are whipping it. I ride and whip the daylights out of my GL1800 on mountain roads and have had mine on beaches and some offroad. Mine is way too nice to give it the full offroad treatment you are, but it is so tempting. That motor would be perfect for what you are doing and the endless roost is hilarious. Bravo!
@MattSpears I also can't believe you were able to make that front wheel a street tire no less, stick turning in that deep sand. I guess with 450 lbs. plus your weight on it too, that front tire's gonna bite!
That reminds me a lot of my '77 wing that I rode in soft dirt. I jumped, could hold it sideways for long stretches throwing dirt everywhere. My '84, I couldn't quite be as crazy with. My gl1800 even less so. But boy I would love to try it. Don't care about the jumps so much, but being able to power slide for extended periods is just awesome. I'd love to spend a few days on that thing in the sand. It would give me a much better feel for the street.
My Dad was the 13th member of the Gold Wing Road Riders, to date I don't think anybody else has ever tried this before. The guys put GS 1000 & 750 triple 2 strokes on 3 wheelers though, pretty fun at the dunes.

Great videos and challenges, very impressive but the wetness on the sand you can drive any thing. Friend of mine did that at the dunes in Cali and it was nothing but a Damm boat anchor good job!!🇺🇸
Man, that Honda is tough. This bike has been living on the rev limiter and top end of the temp gauge for an entire RUclips series. The only thing you haven’t done with a wing is hook up one of those ugly side cars and hit the trails.
Fellow 1800 goldwing rider here, can confirm anytime I try to get mine off of the asphalt the front tire just wants to wash immediately, I know you'd do much better swapping that front out as well
