This video is an idea I've been dreaming of for a few years now. Ever since I went to a competition sand drag at sand mountain in little Sahara Utah and saw some R1 swapped raptors curb stomping all the big turbo 500hp SxS and I had just gotten my first street bike a year or so before after growing up on dirt bikes it made a bucket list item for me to do this one day and seeing it done on the big dunes at Saint Anthony with a busa doesn't help my desires for such tomfoolery to go away. Keep on killing it my dude loving the content.

Love the content not sure what size paddle you have but the 5.60 Chen Shin is much wider and taller than the 5.30 everyone else uses , it made a huge difference on my bike .
Good to know. I had Skat Trak put on their bigger one. Unsure on size. Had to shave it down to fit swingarm.
one thing you should watch for ,put a filter on the overflow breather hose, if that sucks up the sand the motor is toast .@@MattSpears

Awesome racing from very skilled riders and about what I expected on paper. The KTM weighing in around 225lbs/75hp vs the Hayabusa 580lb/180hp. KTM quicker off the line but Hayabusa pulls on the top end. Close races, both bikes are fast.
When it comes to riding street bikes on sand/dirt and engine swaps. I can't get enough of these videos.
That KTM was insane
Likely the gearing is different too, the busa might have a softer take off just so it doesn't wheelie off the line. It's one of those things you tinker with to get a good gear ratio for off-roading since it's been geared for on-road use.
You never got out of 2nd. That bike doesn’t make full hp until 4th. Street bikes are detuned with really retarded timing in the first 3 gears to make it more controllable.
Ohhhh man I did not have the skill for 3rd gear.
This has got to be one of the stupidest, most ridiculous things I've seen done with a 'Busa.

Habeck hill at Mattawah Washington is definitely the longest sandy hill climb in the states, the opposite side of habeck is also gnarly and steeper!
Have messed around on those climbs with my 300, much different. But yeah that climb at Mattawah is legit.

Probably the imperial sand dunes in California. Pretty sure those are the largest available for off road use.

I tried to put a steering dampener on the Busa but none of the ones I have would fit the head stem. Would definitely prefer to have a stabalizer!
