New Zealand carpenters must be making a LOT of money if Kameron can afford to kit his van out with all that Festool stuff. The collective cost of his systainers alone is more than all my power tools.
Cameron's Van is a mobile workshop, insanely good in the way he has it organized,BUT, my choice would be SBC Van. I like it's simplicity, ability to carry sheet goods or lumber as required, and it still get's you over the line when it comes to completing your job requirements as your loaded with the essentials needed. 4.9 to Cam and 4.95 to Scott...fix your drawer runner and you get that 5.
I have to laugh when I see this & my truck is just like this here in Canada, loaded with tools & my stuff. Just imagine tool vans like this back in the UK....the windows would be smashed through in a heartbeat & the contents would be gone in the time it takes you to go in & pay for your petrol!

I like the practicality of the SBC van. Basically because once you're out of the van, you don't necessarily have to get back in for anything. If you don't mind having to walk around the van, having everything at the same level, without needing to reach too far is a plus.
Configuration are preferential treatment. For my own need to walk the length of my van, I would prefer Kam's van. The organization and meticulous use of space is impressive in each.
I think yours is better, super accessible and has security, Cams is impressive but alot of stuff, almost like everything ,but I know it wouldn't be. what is missing for both is your roll in and out. Do you use flat folding trolley or dolly? Where do you keep your gazebo?
I like Scott's because you'll have the ability to bring supplies to job sites and still access all your tools. Kameron's has room for sheets of plywood for example, but you can't access a large majority of the tools without them in the way. The most useful really depends on how you use and transport materials.
I run a painting company in the PNW and watching carpentry van setups from southerner n hemisphere!! I am drooling here guys!!! Damn seeing the local carpentry van setups I would say if you were in Seattle you would be busy 24/7!!!
VCG Construction I like your trailer a lot but I’m not doing huge projects like you so a van like this might work for me. Do they sell these here in the states?... 🤔
Wow both are awesome vans! Quite organized compared to our carpenters here in the USA! It's a hard choice between the two, one is nice to walk through and stand up in but how neat and tidy is the flat top inside to transport a door or sheets of plywood!
There is no clear winner here, both are awesome! It Depends on what van you have and how many trades you engage in determines the amount of stuff in your van. As my boss, he is a builder, painter, carpenter, plasterer and whatever in between, that makes for a mess van sometime!
So basically when you feel like, you can replace your tools with camping gear, put a mattress on top.of the platform and you have a camping van. With A LOT of storage. How cool is that :)

Cameron’s Van is most carpenters dream just to have the amount of tools and storage...but your van is very practical also. Cameron’s Van is a winner.
Kamerons Van .... just lovely! gimme the keys!
No , come and steal it
Hi Scott, I saw your latest videos and I have to tell you that you are a Real Artist in your work!
New Zealand carpenters must be making a LOT of money if Kameron can afford to kit his van out with all that Festool stuff. The collective cost of his systainers alone is more than all my power tools.
Deduced from a sample size of one 🤣
Sometimes mate, you win some and you lose some.
Grant Pritchard manual labour jobs in New Zealand tend to pay quite well
Cameron's Van is a mobile workshop, insanely good in the way he has it organized,BUT, my choice would be SBC Van.
I like it's simplicity, ability to carry sheet goods or lumber as required, and it still get's you over the line when it comes to completing your job requirements as your loaded with the essentials needed.
4.9 to Cam and 4.95 to Scott...fix your drawer runner and you get that 5.
How does Kameron sleep at night? I would be worried about that van being stolen
Plus he has far too much spare time if he can kit out a van like that
You do it at the job on the clock :P
I saw these vans. Given me ideas to upgrade my work bench. Awesome video.
I have to laugh when I see this & my truck is just like this here in Canada, loaded with tools & my stuff. Just imagine tool vans like this back in the UK....the windows would be smashed through in a heartbeat & the contents would be gone in the time it takes you to go in & pay for your petrol!
You dont have thieves in Canada I take it 🤔. I think not, there are thieves everywhere you muppet!!!!!!
@@bigal1119 Of course there are thieves here, just like rats are everywhere...but in the UK the rats & thieves are knee deep!
@@bigal1119 There are many places in Canada where people still leave their front doors open and never come back to a ransacked home.. Having lived in both the UK and Canada I can assure you that theft is nothing like the same..
@@adammacer theft is rife everywhere, just depends what area (city, town) u live in. So to assume theft is absolutely everywhere and nothing in the uk is safe unless its nailed down is absurd
Adam Macer 100k people living in my city in Canada and I haven't locked the doors in more than a year
So great! Thanks for making the episode Scott. That is a very sweet set up Kameron's got there: a place for everything and everything's got it's place.
This guy must make a fortune if he’s packing all these tools!
hahahaha! They are over paid, over sexed, and too interested in the missus!
Maybe he just doesn't smoke, drink and gamble.
Tax write off!
@@sidknee4975 or take out. How many people spend a shit load of money on food? Not as the odd treat but multiple times daily. Cook extra the night before or make some sandwiches.
Tradesmen pay is steadily rising, especially for those skilled in multiple trades. If he's busy, then it's an easy 100k plus per year.
I like them both one is all out set up and one is stealth. both really cool.
Both pretty sweet set up's has to be said.
I hope the guy with 30k worth of tools has a garage to park his van in at night but
He is probably counting on it getting robbed lol, festool give you a guarantee. If any tools are stolen within I am not sure how many years, and you report them to the police get a crime reference number etc festool give you a new one
I like the practicality of the SBC van. Basically because once you're out of the van, you don't necessarily have to get back in for anything. If you don't mind having to walk around the van, having everything at the same level, without needing to reach too far is a plus.
Canadian Carpenter: *Throws a hammer, chainsaw and a tool belt into an uncovered 4x8ft f350 truck box*
Kind of impressed with them and how they do it to be honest. 😂
Hi scott i put my rails of the saw upside down, then the rubbers are staying fresh for a very long time
scott vs paerau next?
I second this request 👍
Third
Configuration are preferential treatment. For my own need to walk the length of my van, I would prefer Kam's van. The organization and meticulous use of space is impressive in each.
If you lived in London your tools would be gone in a flash with that type of van
Which of the vans? Because it looks like a trade van or easy to break in to?
I live in Cape Town his van would be gone in flash
Depends on the type of van. Either work works for their van I'm towards Scotty as that's my go to set up and is more secure
haha when geek meets carpentry, love it!
I really like the pipes cut for the drills thats great, what awesome van set ups! both vans are mint.
Hiace alday cause you can fit in kfc drive thru’s 😂
Slash - excellent point man. The KFC space test ... hhhhhmmmmmmmm
Cam seams like a really nice genuine bloke !
hoooo excellent !!!
Man both are awesome. Thank you for sharing. A dream of tools
I’ve been watching but I subbed on this one. it is organization porn for a handyman. Lol I even saved it to watch later cuz... 😏
Old mate seems like an absolute top notch fella. The organisation in there is soothing!
Just fitted out our van with 2x2 with sarking as shelves does the job 3 plasterers, roofers, roughcasters sharing can be a huge pain lol👍
Kameron has more stuff, but it is well organized. Thanks guys for sharing your set-up
As someone who is renovating and putting all materials and gear in a WRX I would totally want Scotts van. So much extra space
Both are excellent in their own ways.
I run a painting company in the PNW and watching carpentry van setups from southerner n hemisphere!! I am drooling here guys!!! Damn seeing the local carpentry van setups I would say if you were in Seattle you would be busy 24/7!!!
Scott you are going to need to step it up now, that van was a tool lovers dream and nicely laid out, thanks
Both are well organised vans!! Well done SBC & Cameron.
So satisfying to watch. Nice vans, both of them!
Thank you for the video! Lots of great ideas!
cheers bro!
Look at the perfect design of all those compartments. Now there's a man all about detail.
Super late but I like Scott’s van a little more. Both are super neat though, thank for making this video.
Cam Won! But they are 2 really outstanding fit outs. Keep up the high caliber videos. I love how you guys interact with each other .
After watching this numerous times the old sbc van would suit me best ,especially with new drawn now installed, well thought out with layout
