Not because he needs me too, but because he knows I need me too to progress his word into everyone I come into contact with. If its not his word its his lessons I provide for serving him is all I have left in this life.
I lived a life away from Jesus purposefully for 10 years, and every avenue I took lead myself to death, hunger, poverty, suffering, and pain. I lost everything I worked my fingers to the bone for for ten years, including a wife and child. I was 30 years old back living at my mother's house and seriously thinking about killing myself again. But I knew that God existed, I just hated him. I knew he wouldn't let me die. I tried killing myself before and each attempt never worked, just left lasting trauma as a reminder to me. After giving my life to him at age 32 it took him 3 months to give me everything I had lost in tens back to me 4 times over. God is good and the best part is I am at peace with my Father in Heaven. Because of Him my family came to know peace before my dad past away to go to Heaven. It was the most amazing experience I've ever witnessed. God is good. I will never rest until he says too; until then I will proclaim his greatness.

You know, there was this one time when I didn't study for a quiz like I should have, and I thought about giving up (our teacher drops a quiz grade quarterly), but I got 105 on that quiz. That's just to say that, although I gave up sometimes, God never gave up on me. :)
This song reminds me that it's so easy to be disillusioned with my faith whenever I take my eyes away the Cross... when I forget that Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. I'm sorry that I let the busyness of life and human drama take control of how I look at my life, this life that Jesus died for on the Cross on Good Friday. Thank you again, Switchfoot!

I also urge you to seek professional help; it really does work. You are so much stronger than you know. Don't give up.
