I actually think Ebola's Citadel is worth mentioning. It's like $5 and it will just win games. Gary has always been cheap so you don't need to run out and buy him but he also is a great wincon for super cheap.

I think greater good works really well with ghalta as the commander. Sack him to draw 12 and then with enough power on your board you just keep recasting him to get insane card advantage, you don’t even really need graveyard synergy at that point
Maybe I've been living in the realm of high level commander- cedh for too long, but I don't really shrug at a card until like $40-50 range. It's not that it's not a serious amount of money, but usually I consider a commander deck to be a long-term investment rather than meta chasing . Take your time getting the survivals and natural orders of your deck and substitute with the less versatile/'weaker" options in the meantime.
I think its been forgotten but in a creature heavy deck (especially tribal) Kira, Great Glass Spinner is currently only $4.75! I bought 5 of them recently and slotted them into every blue deck I have that cares about my creatures.

While I agree Doom Whisperer is a powerful card, I think it's a niche. You really need to make sure you have healthy lifegain to somehow mitigate the lifeloss lest you get absolutely walloped out of the game when you run out of life and don't hit what you need to. I recently took it out of K'rrik despite it working wonders with Bolas' Citadel and I was dropping to 15 and below, which my opponents promptly took advantage of and killed me. Yes, in theory I could easily win t4 or sooner. In practice, I usually got myself to a really low life total and was promptly reminded why you shouldn't do that. Point is, buy and run Whisperer (and by extension Bolas' Citadel) with caution and lifegain. Don't go willy-nilly. It's a good combo finder for sure at the very least, you just need the life to do the finding.
Doom Whisperer is the most slept on card, no one I know plays it. I use it in my Necrotic Ooze deck with Prossh as my commander. It wrecks every time and is in many occasions better then Necropotence.
One of my friends at locals thought I had 2 cards in my graveyard. He went through my graveyard. Cast Living Death. I had 6 creatures in my graveyard. He was upset.
The number of times I’ve used Wargate in my Tuvasa deck to either get Serra’s Sanctum or Nykthos (the deck is probably 60 percent Green, 25 percent White and only 15 percent Blue).
So, two questions about Glen Elendra Archmage. If I have Ardent Plea out, and attacked with GEA, does AP mean I can continually sac GEA for countering? What would the timing for that be? And if I have Force of Virtue out, does that mean timing doesn't matter, just repeated use for a blue mana a pop?
-1/-1 counters are tracked differently than a generic +1/+1 stat boost, Persist will only trigger if the creature DOESN'T have a -1/-1 counter, so it won't come back if it has a -1/-1 counter on it when it dies. But that means you can use something like Good Fortune Unicorn to sac it as many times as you want because + and - counters cancel each other out
@@NitpickingNerds I'm using it in a Commander deck, my commander is Zur, The Enchanter. I decided to go with Cathar's Crusade, although I saw a blue card that lets me tap to put a +1/+1 on a creature, enchantments are better in a Zur deck. I also already have another enchantment, Ephara's Enlightenment, but that's as bad as another blue creature I saw, pay 3 colorless to put a +1/+1 on target creature. That's the quick fix, the crusade is the reliable fix. I also have the Treasury Thrull and Hall of Helios to protect my enchantments, most notably my game winning one, Near Death Experience. I still have Necropotence in the deck as a last resort, but I intend to win using Stunning Reversal, and most of the rest of my deck is contingencies to protect my game winning cards. I also know quite a few players that have exactly one EDH deck because they can’t afford to build another one. It’s a very expensive hobby.

Depends on his shoe size... But I would say no, Jetmir doesn't need to be in play until the last turn of the game, and if players have spot removal, greaves doesn't do anything to help. Jetmir is usually in play for about five seconds whether you win or not

They have values of $740, $760, $770, and $840, and they’re not optimized. (I don’t own any dual lands, for example.) I can’t see the average teenager being able to pick up a lot of these cards. I did not mean to criticize your content, it’s just an observation that Magic is an expensive hobby.
@@NitpickingNerds what’s there to be confused about ? You guys don’t seem to mind throwing around 50 bucks for one card but some people can’t or don’t want to. It really isn’t a “good” price no matter how good the card is. It can just be proxied and you’re assuming people are kinda running the same handful of cards in each pod
Greater good has been incredible in my aura, voltron Tuvasa deck, they go and try to kill tuvasa ok I will draw 11.
I'm going to guess 1:09 for the moxfield ad for every video till I get it right.
Honestly not the worst strategy
I love Amber!
Look at that kitty!!
Posty hooking it up!
I use doom whisperer to hit lands or answers
Mystic Remora is going into my Chisei, Heart of Oceans deck... Remove those counters!!
Really surprised that fetch lands aren't on this list. They are so cheap right now.
the ones that got mh2 reprints are, the khans of tarkir ones went up, still, scalding tarn for around 20 is insane to think compared to pre mh2.
@@someperson7622 Yeah there's still a few that are expensive but the rest are as about as cheap as they are ever going to get. Fetch lands for 10-20$? Good lord that's a good deal.
Panharmonicon is has dropped a bunch. It's like $6 😯😋
Thank goodness! Didn't feel worth it at that high price before
For free counterspells. Foil. Very narrow. But good
I love foil in budget
@@NitpickingNerds I use it in my niv mizset deck. It’s not extremely budget but it works after I combo off and don’t kill every player. I’ll draw 30-40 cards so I’ll have islands in my hand to spare
Gotta find a way to flash in Vigor for the blasphemous act...
As much as I enjoy watching this series, the core concept doesn’t make a lot of sense. Whether a card is “$20 good” is entirely dependent on someone’s income.
This series just presupposes you have the money to drop on these singles
Does lightning grieves fit good in Jetmir?
Depends on his shoe size...
But I would say no, Jetmir doesn't need to be in play until the last turn of the game, and if players have spot removal, greaves doesn't do anything to help. Jetmir is usually in play for about five seconds whether you win or not
@@NitpickingNerds cool. I had left it out in my first iteration of a deck led by him. I have a few cards coming. I picked up a few upgrades and a couple spicy blue cards like Narset using your affiliate link.
My Jetmir uses snakeskin veil, heroic Intervention, Valorous Stance, and Grand abolisher, giver of runes, Grand Crescendo. Protect lord Jetmir at all costs! I would consider Veil of summer if strong blue black meta.
Real answer:
None of them, proxy all your cards.
My prediction for Moxfield is 21:35
Damn missed
mwahaha
I used greaves with atrata
15:12 fires shot at moxfield
*misses*
music in the background??
No 👀
