- While I love my Sisterlocks, if I had to start my locs all over again for any reason, there are some things I would do differently from the first time around. In this video, I share 4 key things I’d do differently based on what I’ve learned along my 10-year loc journey.

Well said 💯!!
Great video as always! Awesome tips about the sisterlocks as well!
Thank you!!
I colored my hair before I my install and it broke off because I was unable to deep condition and moisturize my hair until they were fully locked
Sorry that happened to you 😕 I’m curious, were you instructed to spraying your hair with a mainly water based spray?
Thank you❤
My pleasure ❤️
Lotoya your locks are Beautiful. I’ve had my Sister locks for 3 years now. I’m finding that in the front my locks are thinning in the middle of the lock and then the bottom part falls off and leaving me with short locks. I’m trying to figure out what to do to help strengthen my hair around my ages. I did watch your video on how to moisturize your locks. Any suggestions? Thank you 😊
Thanks Latasha! Sorry to hear about the thinning issue. Honestly that could be caused by different things like tension on the locks (if you put your hair up often and tightly), dye, diet or the method of retightening (using a crochet needle can cause thinning). Hard to say without knowing more. Depending on the cause, I would start a deep moisture treatment to strengthen the locks, or if you style often, I would stop and just leave it. What does your loctician think, or are you retightening yourself?
@@MsJacksonTravels Thank you for your reply! I ordered the products that you use for moisturizing your hair and I’m going to give it a try and to be consistent, lol. Thank you again 😊
I’ve been locked 5 years, but I didn’t get to choose the size of my sisterlocks. I was given tiny sisterlocks which over the last few retightening visits, I’ve lost a few from the back crown area. The last one I lost, I just happened to see it on the floor as I was leaving. I wasn’t told of it. I’m getting discouraged on having sisterlocks as my crown is thin and scalpy. Do you have any tips on oils for thinning?
That doesn’t sound good, I’m sorry. I’m wondering why your loctitian wouldn’t tell you? 🤔 Ive honestly noticed there are 2 kind of loctitians: one that just retightens hair and that’s it and others that are interested in hair/scalp health. I’ve had both and there is a HUGE difference between them. Can your current person work with you on your hair health and long term solutions? If not, I’d look for someone else asap. When I had my daughter, the front of my hair started thinning and I found out about Jamaican castor oil. It worked great for me and I recommend it!
@@MsJacksonTravels thank you for the info. Much appreciated
