    Retightening should NOT HURT!
Run and run fast and far away from the loctician!

It's also sometimes the combs that they put in your hair to separate your hair. It pulled, and that was happening to me and I'd said something to my loctician So that could be it, but your hair. Or your head should never, ever ever ever ever. Be hurting, not 1 day, not 1 second nor hour. Red flag.

Re-ties should NOT cause so much pain. Is your scalp that tender? Is your loctitian or your DIY intent on doing too many rotations? Try not to focus on having "perfect" locks. Brushing your locks with a soft brush may help with frizz. If you color your locks they will definitely need something like humectant to keep them from neing drying out and breaking.

Exactly I figured they shouldn’t but I tried someone else and it only hurt when she styled it after so I never did that again lol I still get a headache but very light and bearable with the new person. But yea I’m just embracing the journey since I’m fairly new to it so seeing what works and what doesn’t lol and yea only coloring it once in a blue moon. I’ll try the brush re the frizz. What about loc gels?

It should never hurt. It could be the Combs or the things that she's putting in your hair to separate it.

I don’t have pain with reties BUT my scalp itches like CRAZY for about a week after. It’s my least favorite thing about my locs

Oh that would annoy me lol how long have you been loc’d? Has it always been the case since you loc’d it? Is there something you use that helps to ease the itch?
