I had quit drinking for 25 years. I began drinking occasionally. I went to the ER one night with SVT of the heart. They did my labs. My liver enzymes were high. Our bodies don't do well with even a small amount of alcohol! I have quit drinking since.

Point of information. Passover wine was NOT new wine. However, it was also NOT fermented. The grape/ vintage harvest is in the fall. Passover is in the spring. No leaven was allowed during Passover. Fermentation is a process of leavening of grape juice. THAT's why the Savior mentions, "...when I drink it NEW with you in the Kingdom..." Passover wine was pure grape juice that had been boiled down to a thick syrup the previous Fall, and sealed in purified vessels. When served for Passover, it had to be reconstituted or MIXED with water. Passover forbids ALL leavening. Fermented wine was full of leaven. (In the judgement, it is said the wicked will drink UNMIXED the wine of the wrath of God. in other words, undiluted, thick syrup of concentrated wrath.)

I wanted to point this out as well, you got to it first! ☺️ I also wanted to point out that biblical weddings lasted a week or more, so that gallons of wine wouldn't mean that everyone was drunk.
That being said, I think that fermented wine should be limited to Communion, at least in my humble opinion, but that is my opinion, not scripture. Alcohol is a dangerous substance.
Also, Acts 10 opens up to food that is not permissible in Leviticus. Acts 10:15 has God saying "What God has made clean, do not call common" My understanding of this passage is that all foods are permissible, not that this makes all food wise.
We DO need to care more for our bodies. I completely agree with the spirit of this message, but, as much as I adore David, this seems a bit like adding to scripture to me.

1 Timothy 4:1-5"Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving; for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer."
Okay, 7th day adventists, please explain this passage from 1 Timothy...mainly verses 4 & 5 there.

1:57 physical death is not the enemy. all the saved in the past died physically. jesus died physically. and yet not all will die physically. the enemy is spiritual death which all who do not repent will undergo, even while alive, no exception. the death that jesus conquered is spiritual death-the separation from god because of sin. jesus said let the dead bury their dead.
