- The 1960s musical duo of Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield, the Righteous Brothers, are the ninth recipient of a star on Anaheim/OC's Walk of Stars. Bill Medley and widow of the late Bobby Hatfield, Linda Hatfield, attended.

Love the Righteous Brothers!!! My generation!! Miss you Bobby!!! Unchained Melody was last song at my late husband's funeral service February 2020 !!! Will be the last song played at my funeral some day!!

For those wondering why it took so long for the RBs to be recognized, this award was established in 2006; the guys were honored in 2008 so they were among the first.
It's the date the video was posted, I think, that's confusing everyone.
Sadly, Linda passed away in May of 2010.

Why did it take so long for them to get the star?
Maybe politics, which is the reason it took so long for them to get into the Hall of Fame. Spector didn't want any of his stars to get in. Coincidentally, several of his stars were inducted after he went to prison.

This coming November12th Bill and his new partner will be performing at the Celebrity Theatre in Phoenix, AZ. Since I have moved to Northern Az, I cannot attend, but it would be nice if someone who goes would record the show and post it on You Tube. I have been to the Celebrity several times. It is a theatre in the round, with a revolving stage. If it is still the same, there is not a bad seat in the house. Wish I could go, I still love Bill and Bobby. But I hope his new partner does Bobby justice.
