I’m at meps now I ship out in the morning. I’m going into nuclear and shooting for electric technician but if I end up getting MM I wanna go into ELT. I got a 37k bonus on a 6 year contract but also have two years of school In Charleston. I got a TS clearance but never took a polygraph and like you said I’m auto E4 after a school. I know it’s gonna be extremely challenging but I know I’ll be able to get through it, especially with the help of some of your videos. Thanks man
One thing to note is that a day in their life VLOG while in IT A school will be kinda hard because of the fact that inside of the schoolhouse they can't have cameras or phones (Active duty IT right now). We would have people walk to the march off spot and we would march all the way down to class and they would end up having to run that entire strip back to their barracks just to put their phone away. EDIT: It popped in my head that you're most likely referring to a video like this where he sits down and explains it all to you so my bad there
There is no better rate, it depends on what you want to do... IT is a boat rate where you work 12 on 12 off during deployment . There are cons to every job. No one really knows their job or anything about the their job in the navy until they’ve done it in the fleet. If they’re still in A- school or boot camp you only know what your being told by the instructor
Bro it’s wild the navy the only branch who crowd they folks together so tightly, the army give they barracks soldiers their own space atleast and a shared latrine and kitchen
I’m shipping out March 25th. I tried going into OCS but there were difficulties with me being a Reservist and being over 30 years old. I’m going in as an RP. Navy Reserves. Nervous about Basic though.
yo go straight to school, but you can get some leave from A school from time to time, you do get some time at home before you go to your first Duty station
It was fine. Depending on rate you might be stuck at Great Lakes for up to 5 days after graduation and they’ll toss you on a plane to wherever you’re going. Also depending on rate you’ll be able to take leave/have your family come visit you and you can bring them on base. We’re authorized both here but not all bases are like that rn.
Does anyone know how long bootcamp is with quarantine I heard it was shortened to 6weeks with quarantine and then extended to 8 with quarantine and then recently shortened again to 6weeks by my mentor in DEP
Hey, I got a CE rate and I’m getting shipped out Aug. 10th, do you know anything about A school for CEs and how it is on a Reserve and what kind of ppl are there? Thanks so much!
I went into the Navy as a master at arms. I will honestly say every job in the Navy or in the military in general has its pros and cons but MA is a good rate. Now don't let any recruiters trick you into thinking you're going to do the really cool stuff right away, you will have to pay your dues and you be stuck checking ID's at the gate at your first duty station before you'll get to do the cooler stuff in a year or 2
No it’s not required, but you can volunteer for it and they’ll give you one. That’s current guidelines though, I know big navy wants to make it mandatory at some point.
My boyfriend didn’t pass his run so the push him back 3 weeks witch is annoying!! Now they got a lot of ppl stuck in the ROF does that mean he ight get pushed Back again?
Let’s go. !!!! 💪💪💪
Yooo Thanks so much for watching my video I hope you enjoyed the content! Your definitely one of my Navy RUclips inspirations ! 👍🏽

Whatever you do don’t let your recruiter pick it for you ✌🏽, Try one of my social media’s I could better help you there
I plan on enlisting after I graduate. ( June 2021) . After boot camp do you go back home for a little or straight to school
yo go straight to school, but you can get some leave from A school from time to time, you do get some time at home before you go to your first Duty station
How was graduation and the transition to A School like during COVID since we can’t see family?

Did you get to keep your phone during quarantine before going to RTC?
no
what are the requirements to get the 2k bonus during boot camp ? havent heard anyone specify what it actually takes ... thanks
I’d heard in a different video that if you pass the initial fitness test (the one toward the beginning of bootcamp) you get the 2k
You pass the fitness test for your height, weight and age requirements and pass a written test
@@isabel-xk2hp what's the written test over ? navy knowledge ?
