Just got to A school, we had ship 14 USS Arizona and honestly hygiene was the best part of the day. We didn’t have curtains we just had 12 shower heads on two poles. It was weird at first but eventually we got comfortable with each other. Also idk if this was weird of not but our division all showered at the same time. I heard other divisions showered by sections.
Do Machinist mates get to leave base? I think they’re A school is in Great Lakes but I have no idea, I’m meeting with a recruiter in 2 weeks to fill out the paper work and get a date for MEPs

Is that like just through Monday to Friday or can’t go off base for the whole duration of school? So can’t even go out during the weekend? He shipped out March 1st and last time I heard from him was that night when he arrived at Fort McCoy. I hope he hasn't been up in bathroom crying lol Naw he good! Said they were breaking up his division from too many covid cases so going back to quarantine 💆🏻 atleast he's staying there at Great Lakes. Wish I knew if he has to start bootcamp again since he was 3 weeks in?!?! Much success to all you guys! Stay Safe

I have a question why do you guys get trained at Marines Camp Lejune, North Carolina for C class, And do they let you use your phone while attending that training? My friend is doing Religious services
They give you a punch of papers to fill out (kinda like the ones your recruiter gives you) and you have answer NO 2 every thing. Then they make everyone do a urinalysis. Females get pregnancy test. Some time later there will be a presentation about the “moment of truth.” You need to keep ur mouth shut during the moment of truth.
Not a crazy question, actually don’t bring your Xbox/ps4 with you to bootcamp you’ll be taking up room in your BOX. There’s a box at the beginning of bootcamp you keep your phone and old clothes and shoes in and if it’s full whatever doesn’t fit is trashed. Once you complete bootcamp you can get all that stuff in your school.

I only got tested once at Ft. McCoy... other than that you’ll only get tested if you show symptoms (and tell people you have symptoms)...
Yo what score did you guys have on your ASVAB to get the IT rate? I am working on getting into that rate.
I scored a 70 and got IT, it’s all based on what you pass and don’t pass on the advance though

During A-School yes, as long as the base is open to visitors not during bootcamp , bootcamp is still shutdown for visitors unless things have changed.
