Navy Veteran 5 years/E3/Logistics/ESWS and EAWS/Carrier CVN/ Naval Hospital Boot Camp Tip: Before: Most important look at all the rating advancement first because it will decide on how your future in the navy will be. Get at least 50 in asvb so you will have a good rate and not just work on deck. Learn all the navy info they give you before boot camp ie: sailors creed, ranks, dates and ect. Reason: There will be a test at boot camp and if you pass or have a high score in it you will be promoted to e2. Get physical ready because with passing the pt is the other requirement to get promoted to e2. Be ready at knowing how to swim backwards and floating. Remove your wisdom teeth before going to bootcamp. Bootcamp: Leave unnecessary things, just bring important documentations, depending on the weather don’t wear excessive clothing, very important shave all your beard and moustache. Be prepared to not go to sleep for at least two days on the first week. If your confident on swimming go for it and pass it right away, but if you want your bootcamp to be easier say you don’t want to swim because you will be excuse on some of the hard activities. Extremely important that you pass all the written test to graduate on time. There will be time where you learn what’s on the test. If you want to be the aroc or ms go for it but if you want easier an easier bootcamp don’t volunteer for it. PT: Back in 14 run time for 18-21 is about 9 min. Now it has been more increase to about 20 something, not really updated to it. So pt is easier. If you want to pass don’t go hard all the way in push ups and sit-ups because pt is indoor with barely air to breathe. Swimming: If you to pass right away go ahead, but for easier just like I said tell you want to learn, to get out some hard training and easier bootcamp. On the side note you will have a lot of tries but pass it to graduate. Important tip doggie paddle on floating will be hard so just try to float for 5 minutes. Shooting: it’s either you pass or not, if you pass you will get the pistol ribbon, which I pass Pretty much all the other training and last training is easy. After bootcamp : a-c school Most important is know all what they teach because if you have the top score you will be promoted to e3 and get to choose your station. Don’t do dumb stuff or get in trouble for your life to be easy on the school and have freedom. Instead of spending a lot save as much you can, because trust me it comes handy if you do plan to stay long or not. Super shiny boot tip toe or full: lighter and steam from the iron would make it super shine and cotton not to wet. Most important if your really horny just refrain from it to stay out of trouble and be more stronger. Last but not the least the school is the last we’re you will taste a good food. Duty Station: *Most important is saving as much money as you can. Why? If you ever decide to be a civilian again you will not be in so much stress and be much prepared. *2nd most important if you have time or not get as many degrees you can even if it’s just a bachelor, because if you ever decided to get out schooling will be easier to you *3rd most important yes sometimes partying may take out some stress, but leaving the party life out and milking out what ever you can ie:education, save up money, experience and connections will give you a better life whether you choose to stay or not. Ranking: Will really depend on your rate some advance fast and some not that’s why I advice to choose your rate carefully before joining. Also very important advice on ranking your chief or officers will not really be the ones who decide’s on how far you will rank up. It’s up to you on getting the high scores to advance by knowing your rate and not playing. Pins: Most important is having a connection because it helps on how fast you get your pin. Not to brag got both of my pins in 1 month and I have a proof, just be friends with everyone. Sometimes what ever duty station you go it can become hard or easy, to be successfully attain your goals step by step and be well physically and mentally. Last advice do what ever you think is right and not by others, because not choosing your own decision will burry you deep in the ocean.
The reason why you should get your wisdom teeth remove is the surgery process and recovery time is different. In civilian the surgery would be like nothing happen but in bootcamp you will see the surgery you will fill your teeth getting pulled out and some pain because the anesthesia is limited, due to the amount of getting the surgery. The recovery time in bootcamp don’t know if change, 1 day in bed then you have to be ready to go back to chow hall the next day oh and medicine is less than civilian. Basically in civilian you could be in bed for as long as you want and better food.
Making videos is good also. With the change in the navadmin almost every year it puts a difficulty on some advice with bootcamp. The most important thing that I will advise for younger people or those getting ready for boot camp or in general is not to get jealous and save up. A lot of people get caught up on the money they save up when being in the military. Meaning ie: finally I got all these money to spent I could buy this brand new car or clothes or jewelry like what he or she has is the biggest mistake. Basically the military is one of the great ways where you can save up and build your education, don’t be lost on the big cash because like what they said not everyone can pass and be in the military.
I was part of the first division quarantined back in March 26th in Great Lakes, then got quarantined again during training week 5. 8 week boot camp turned into 12 y’all had it easy.

My boyfriend left to bootcamp yesterday.. I’m confused how are we going to find out what the address is and what division he’s in to write to him? I wish they’d tell us when they leave quarantine and are actually at Great Lakes starting bootcamp
@Tayler Brioness, you will receive what they call a "Form Letter' unless he sends it to parents (only one is sent out) 3-4 weeks after he leaves, unless he does additional quarantines at Ft. McCoy.
I got smoked because of a snitch involving the watch. The watch asked me what time it was. I just quickly pointed to the clock. Another recruit saw this and busted her rear end to tell on me. Hey yall, I will sign my contract this week! excited and nervous. Hey when we do our first pt, can we opt to do the bike ? Or is that only available after you fail the run? Not that I want to fail but I think I have a better chance of doing the bike over the run.

Hooyah Navy !!! Be cool wherever you are brah, here in a-school
I leave July 1st and my bday on the 4th🤦🏿♂️
Man I just got out the Navy this past June and watching videos like this makes me wish I never got out sometimes. When I was in Bootcamp my Division was definitely a strong division.. we never got any flags😭
As far as the shower situation.. damn they must’ve changed it or my RDC’s didn’t give a fuck because our showers felt like FOREVER… (Female compartment)
Other than that I know this was 9 months ago but I hope you all two are enjoying your navy career so far.
My boyfriend left to bootcamp yesterday.. I’m confused how are we going to find out what the address is and what division he’s in to write to him? I wish they’d tell us when they leave quarantine and are actually at Great Lakes starting bootcamp
Going to make another video answering all the questions I’m receiving
@@YoDaH also do they get their phones back for A school?
@Tayler Brioness, you will receive what they call a "Form Letter' unless he sends it to parents (only one is sent out) 3-4 weeks after he leaves, unless he does additional quarantines at Ft. McCoy.
@@taylerbrioness519 yes, phones are returned after graduation.
I leave April 7th for bootcamp 😭 I signed for Yeoman. Thank you for the info !
Me too. I leave Thursday for Yeoman Submarines
YN here too. May 5th
today’s the day good luck bro i leave april 18th
I got smoked because of a snitch involving the watch. The watch asked me what time it was. I just quickly pointed to the clock. Another recruit saw this and busted her rear end to tell on me. Oh yeah I got seriously smoked for that by the Senior CC of our unit. After the punishment, I asked who reported me. She told me who told on me. I told the girl off.
You telling em all the secrets... how is a recruiter gonna get em to walk in the office now?
Recruiters tricked to many of my sailors I’m here to set the bar straight
@@YoDaH Good Looking bro!!!
Sheeeshh I’m finna be there soon.
My experience: Hotel ROM, 1st div (midway ROM 4 weeks in), went back to week 2, 2nd div (another midway ROM, week 3.5 in ), back to week 2 again, 3rd div (final week), rom yet again (no I’m not joking, separation.
When did you separate ?
@@wilfredocamposcastro9718 I was in seps for about 24 days and left base on oct 14
That’s crazy man I was in seps for 15 days and left September 28 . Maybe I saw you .
Hey DO THEY ALLOW COFFEE , do they provide it in bootcamp ?
😂😂😂💀coffee ???
No quarantine with vaccine now😌✨
I went to bootcamp in 1996 we had dungaree and boondockers
Just curious, do you get any flack for these from your CoC? Have you spoken to your PAO about these? I'm wanting to do something similar but the vetting process by the PAO takes a bit of time
I leave in a month. I’m not scared but any advice ?
Hey yall, I will sign my contract this week! excited and nervous. Hey when we do our first pt, can we opt to do the bike ? Or is that only available after you fail the run? Not that I want to fail but I think I have a better chance of doing the bike over the run.
The bike will not be available at all inside of bootcamp .
Once you’re out in the fleet you can do alternate cardio but in basic you just gotta tough out the long distance run. So yes... please please please run at least a little bit beforehand
@@elladnhm4324 thanks yall, I practiced it and it took 23 minutes I gotta keep at it, ship out June 2nd.
