Thing is, Generations/Ultimate was made by the same theme as the team who made Rise. When it comes to how they arrange themes in the series. The main theme tend to try making very orchestral themes, take for example the maps in 4U, the Deserted Island theme and Verdant Hills theme. While the Portable team has less focus on orchestral and more so on intensity take for example, Zinogre, Tigrex, Nargacuga and the Fated Four.
This is one of my favorite monsters, really hope he makes it to Rise in grank. Have him on my team in MH Stories 2, his name is Raiden. Excited for Boltreaver!

Astalos’ original theme was always more bombastic and enthusiastic. Sunbreak’s version may be less repetitive, but it’s like they quelled most of the rage Astalos has in its song.
Agreed! Astalos is an incredibly aggressive wyvern. He is very physical especially his high speed charge. He also attempts to strike you one final time when he dies.

Honestly as much as I want Astalos to come back, a part of me is worried its theme remix just won't be as strong because they keep weakening the guitars in themes that used them.
Fun Fact: if you crouch before the monster notices you it will never "see you " and never attack you even if you hear the (you been spotted music) don't be scared, it won't go after you, stay crouched
After a certain amount of time, like probably a minute or two, however, the monster will then sense you as hostile and will attack after that. Also, when you go to another zone, your Palicoes will 'get up' in order to burrow, which also triggers the monster to act hostile.
Back in Tri, this allowed me to gather freely, even when there was a Rathian in the area. Unfortunately, in 3U, the monsters always seemed to notice me after a few seconds, maybe that was the Shakalakas' doing. Don't remember ever trying in in 4U, but in Generations, it works as long as your Felynes don't stand up. That means you cannot gather freely, because whenever you do, your palicoes will stand up to gather with you.
A rival to Rathalos ? Did you ever see a rathalos ? A Yian Kut ku can be his rival and he already lost his wife to it. Seregios and Astalos don't need him around to shine.
@@akkir6707 nope, rathalos literally lost his manhood to the prick chicken, basically yian kut-kut plus rathian equals yian garuga, which means at one point, multiple yian kut kut got with rathians enough to make a new species

By far my favourite of the flagships in Gen, both in design (seriously, bug wyvern is something that needs more love) and in it's fight, it's fast paced, not overwhelmingly so, but the pressure never lifts, it's just a very fun, high octane fight.
This is the one monster I enjoy grinding simply for the music and intensity of the fight and Im an aerial Dual Blades and Charge Blade main so you know the fights always gonna be a real treat

Thank you Monster Hunter for always giving me great battle music to play while I DM an encounter for my players in Tabletop games. It’s gotten to a point that when I’m DMing and the music turns one they know what type/way the encounters will be based on the music.

I used a Nargakuga Armor for that misson... you don't know the terrifying is that QuQ good thing it never spoted me, thanks to the "stealth" hability of the armor.
Fuck the Kokoto village chief. I had existential dread from the moment i picked up the first egg, till the moment I delivered the second egg. Thinking it would be like a rathian but several times worse. It wasn't, of course, but fuck the Kokoto village chief. Cause he knew it was there.
Although it's a shame that he never has a chance to fully charge unless he's hyper, Astalos is one of my personal favorite fights and by far my favorite monster design.

oh that makes sense know, right now i'm HR 1 on generations and I play as a palico because as a hunter I don't have strong equipment.
Either that, or Dreadking and Dreadqueen. Dreadking level ten has both of them in it (fortunately it's one at a time and dreadqueen is first).
The reason they changed his name during localization is because if you're not careful, he deals ASStaLOADS of damage.

Unfortunately, monsters that have their own themes get them reworked if they make it to world. So you would have to be disappointed.

yea, take mh rise valstrax a.k.a crimson glow valstrax as an example, is not as agressive and speedy as the original theme

I just dont like rise's takes on themes. Just look at tigrex for gog's sake. It sounds way less savage and aggressive than in iceborne
