I can build just about anything that needs to be built, but I still like the excessive explanation. It helps me remember everything, and it's the best way to teach people with less experience. Your my go to diy guy.
I love it. I see a lot of people complaining about it on other videos, but this is the amount of explanation people pay for and he’s got it for free on RUclips.
I picked this up for work. My last one was smaller ruclips.net/user/postUgkxtD9aJ2m6GU-X1IChQxjn9l31K1A7Kpwj and cuter but the motor burned out within a few months. This one's footprint is a tad bigger but it still doesn't eat up a lot of desk space. Its size and shape blends into the background nicely. This has a good size water container so I don't need to refill more than once a week. I use filtered (not distilled) water because cleaning up after our hard water is tough at work. I like that this has several settings. It's also very quiet. (I have a silence naxi in the next cubicle.) It also hasn't left that terrible while powder, so far, that some humidifiers leave. Been using this for a month or so now and am very happy with my purchase.
I used a 5disc ultrasonic in a homer bucket with a filtered air intake fan to force the mist out through 1/2inch clear tubing that delivers my mist to my 4 rack Martha tent. The homer bucket also has a float valve to replenish any water used up by my misting heads. All of that connects to my humidity controller. It's awesomeness 😁.
Thanks Willy and the tripteam! Just an FYI I'd be completely game for a full 3-4 hour complete and thorough tutorial for a tent build! Love your work man, namaste 🙏
one thing to combat algae and bacterial growth in the water is to use an aquarium UVC lamp, i saw it in some humidifier builds, so i included one in mine aswell
Action Bronson has got to be his uncle or something. He's really feeling himself. But it's good encouragement to know even a goofy can have success with myco cultivation.

The problem with using the duct to get the humidity inside is that mold and mildew will build up inside. Best to eliminate that risk factor and hide it in that 5x5.
Willy, plz start putting in the description the time that you start the tek for us that are already subbed. I love and appreciate your videos and all the info you give. Thank you!
Hi Willy, Thanks for a great video! I originally used one of these with only 1 head and the water level was critical: it couldn't be too deep or it wouldn't work. I read some comments a plumber made about using a toilet float with a secondary water container to keep the water level at the optimum amount in the main tank. What do you think about this? Or is this unnecessary since the plastic bin is so large.
i reckon all itll do is create somewhat more condensation in the tank, steam will need a larger temperature contrast for anything substantial. better putting the mat safely in the fruiting tent itself, hot air will rise. unless im mistaken about the way ultrasonic mist is created. if so please correct me if im wrong
If you guys want a smaller version I used a 5 gallon bucket and it works great. For a 6 foot 2x2 tent I only have to fill it with water every 1.5-2 weeks
Thanks. What about contamination build up like mould? How do you keep the water and inner bin area sterile? Some say to change the water frequently. I ask because there is a 30 minute video on RUclips ‘how to build a Martha.’ And in this particular one all his grows were riddled with Trichoderma. If the bin builds up with contaminants it will pump it into the tent too.
I really like your videos, so thank you from a newbie. I do have a problem or question. I have a mono tub that I injected September 24 with South American. It is totally white but today is November 3 and NO PINNING??? It looks great smells great at a pretty constant temp of 75 degrees give or take a degree or 2 and it is kept humid with lots of condensation on the sides. What can I do to get this to fruit and produce? Any advice from you guys is much appreciated. Thanks

I've tested out this humidifier, after 20+ years of growing I knew this was a bad build, you need to add a fan such as an inline vent fan and attach a hepa filter to it so you can push the mist into the tent; you need a filter so it doesn't suck in outside contaminants, aside from that using the metal tubing is a poor idea as it crimps easily your better off using a plastic flexible tubing and every once in a while removing it and soaking it in bleach to remove bacteria build up.
I use a duct fan for an intake on my cannabis grow tent......I got it from lowes. Upon inspection I see it has wires and an exposed motor. You think this same type would be OK for your description? I would be concerned about moisture on the electronics. I'd feel more comfortable using an inline vent fan as the electrical is sealed. Maybe like a small 4 inch inline with a speed controller? What's your opinion?
Willy, I have a 6-head mister with correct depth, your build, and a small 2'X4'X5' high tent. RH won't go above 70%. Do you have a suggestion? I do have an 80mmX25mm fan on the way, for the end of the tube in the tent. Jerry in Galesburg Illinois
Having a shelf out against the wall side to side, what option would be best to put my humidifier at ? Should I do pvc along each shelf with holes to mist or just two main pipes exhausting the mist from the top of the tent ?!
Great info as always, I actually like all the details, keep the same format and details, anyone complaining about video length needs to either smoke a blunt or 2...or you can always skip ahead!
Great set of videos dude learnt so much thank you. I have a question. Every other home humidifier video I've seen has had a fan attached to the tub for FAE. Do you think that's unnecessary 🤘🤘🤘
Could you do a pt 3 covering airflow and humidity control, atm I have my tent running at 85% set value, humidifier kicks on at 84% humidifier runs to 91% when and then the inline intake with carbon filter kicks on at 91% and quickly brings it back down to 84%.. anyhow it's our first tent hah and would love some advice on controller settings for humidity/airflow thank you a million much love
I built one of these but am getting lots of nasty black stuff accumulating in the tub and on the fogger. I'm using well water, which may be an issue? Is there a certain type of water that is best for this purpose or do you need to clean the tub ever week or so regardless? Thanks
After some use, do you have to clean the bin and the duct hookup? It would seem like standing water would get a little funky after a while... or does it matter?
Let me guess .....you were the kid in school that was tapping your pencil and staring out the window? Geezuz..just use your fast forward then and stop being a winy biache dude.
I'm having trouble with this too. I bought the same ultrasonic fogger that he shows in the video but I can get it to flow out of the bin and into the tent...
I have a 2'x6'x8' closet I am trying to grow in. I have a wired steel shelf to hold my totes. Only have 2 right now, but I can fit 9-12 in there easily. What would be better? Putting a shelf cover over it(like a small tent) and having a big humidifier like this or having the 9-12 tubes modified like your recent video on the automated monotub? Any suggestions from anyone would be appreciated :)
@@pkgmsu I ended up drilling a hole near the top where the other wires come out, it was a bit weird for me to put an electronic device in water, but she worked like a charm, you can just seal around the hole where the wire comes through with some Waterproof silicone sealant. Good luck 👍

Growers of all things valuable look at the inside of the tent and ask.........How much product could I grow in the space this humidifier will take up? If I could put 2 mono tubs instead of the humidifier, then just putting it outside can increase your yield by hundreds of dollars in increased production.
If instead of attaching the ducting permanently to the lid, a collar fitting was attached to the lid, then the ducting could be slipped on or off of the collar to make maintenance easier. As it is now, taking the lid off of the tub is going to shake the whole tent and make it very awkward to handle. Also, in the last tent build vid the ducting is attached to the bottom of the tent, but since fog falls, it would be better to have it ducted into the higher tent porthole.
Question: I am having a hard time picking out a Ultrasonic Humidifier. Are you SURE there's not a need for at least a computer fan set into the lid on the tub to drive the humidity into the tent? Passive flow is enough to get that humidity up into the 90% range ehh? What about a fan on the lid blowing in to the tub to push it out more, and it would be some FAE
14:30 hot tip, spray, some of that isopropyl alcohol all over, and it’ll swipe over very nicely. It won’t stick to your fingers.
How about using Brita type water filter before filling up the bin?
Shouldn’t there be an inline fan in the duct or a waterproof fan in the tub to force the mist into the tent?
dip your finger in a cup of water mixed with some vinegar and it will allow you to use your finger to spread the silicone without it sticking to you.
