Sylux was teased as the next villain in the secret endings of Metroid Prime 3 (in 2007!) and the 3DS game Metroid Prime Federation Force, which shows him finding the metroids. Also, the Prime series takes place before Metroid 2, where the metroids were wiped out.

The fact that AlphaDream went bankrupt should have tipped them off that Nintendo didn’t own them. You can’t declare bankruptcy on only one part of a company. Bankruptcy is something that happens to an entire company.

Context is key I think, I didn't think anything shown at the State of Play was in any way terrible (even Concord) but because they've been so silent on their first party output it felt disappointing.
I thought the Nintendo Direct was a banger when you consider Nintendo have a new console release to prepare for and could've easily sunset the Switch by just porting a load of GameCube and Wii games. But they found the time to make a new Mario+Luigi, Mario Party and Zelda as well.

Re: DQ3, the characters and events of that game are the distant historical backstory for DQ1 and 2. You are doing the things in that game that became legends later in time. So my hope is they are reworking those games to do some Mass Effect style canon changes where the things you do in DQ3 will be remembered and affect some things in the "later" games. Like collecting your endgame gear (of the lead hero) from DQ3 is central to the entire progression for DQ1, so that would be a clear place to introduce choice.

15:25 DQ11 is definitely not 150 hours. I beat it at 77 hours on steam and I took my time. Nevertheless, the game does one optional story (that can be missed if you don't continually talk to them when you visit the place in the story) that I've never seen any game do with npcs before, and there are 2 other things tied to the story that I didn't expect to see either. This was my first dragon quest game and I didn't think the story was going to be that good until I actually gave it an attempt to beat it.

15:25 😑Start with DQ8 kids. All of them (9 of them actually) are great. However, 8 is an amazing jumping on point for noobs as it is more modern then 1-7 and also not as feature rich as DQ11 so you can still go back and play earlier games without feeling like you are going insane.
11 is amazing, it just suddenly decides to be almost 2 games in one after the second ARC which is kind of a lot for a newcomer to the series. DQ8 sort of does this but honestly it is nowhere near as long - or good - as Arc 3 of 11.
Start with 8, then try 9, then if a fan, go back and do these remakes or do 4,5,6.

How are people worried or confused about the gameplay of the new Zelda?!? Like I’m genuinely flabbergasted on the takes people have of it.
Edit: Ok since it was mentioned I also want to bring out that I think it’s utterly ridiculous to think that Zelda should play the same as Link. Like what purpose would that even serve?
The game looks great and I feel I have a pretty solid idea of how the game will play just from watching the trailer. I honestly think it’s going to be more “Zelda like” than some people are expecting

The objective best way to watch Star Wars is:
    - Watch Episodes 4 & 5
-Watch Episodes 1-3 as an Anakin Flashback
    - Watch episode 6
Of course, those are the only Star Wars films that exist.

Sorry Ben, but classic Zelda is still dead so this doesnt count :(
Sure it's "mainline" but like with Super Mario Bros. what good is that when the classic formula is gone.

@@intense79nick he points out all the parts of games he doesn’t like if it isn’t a Nintendo game. If it’s a Nintendo game made for 8 year olds it’s amazing. Janet and him also say “like” way too much. Had to get it off my chest. I listen to every episode and it bugs me every time.
