I always used palming method on lessons and test. Even my instructor said he was going to teach me the technique after I told him I watched your videos. Still, I drive an automatic car as my family prefer it and we all drive it and enjoy 🙂
Tbh right I’m going to pass in a manual then switch back to automatic bc gears is just everything can happen so quick u gotta one change gear, slow down or keep going, scan everywhere, check your speed. indicate and check your mirrors all at the same time and give way to your right automatic is much more easier check your speed put it on the break tap scan the right briefly look around pull off and obv indicate and do mirror checks I don’t know if the SMS works that well bc I do signal mirrors but that’s fine to id assume

In Indian cars (at least) the 2nd to 3rd transition (and vice-versa) could be easily achieved by forcing the stick diagonally towards 3rd away from 2nd gear. You can check if your car has it too.
I wanted to ask what do you do when accidentally changing to a wrong gear while driving? For example 2nd to 3rd but went in 5th. How do you recover without getting in a panic?
Good question. Firstly, don't panic ;) If you select the wrong higher gear then the car might start to judder or the gas pedal won't be responsive. Quickly press the clutch, which will stop the car from possibly stalling (if you're quick enough) and try again with the gear change.
hi all does any one like to share any tips on how to gain confidence to drive on the road? I am wondering my friend has 212 hours of lessons from 4 different driving instructor that is a lot of expenses and failed 2x during driving test .any thoughts?
I have a problem when going from 3rd to 2nd or from 2nd to 1st. The gear feels very stiff and i struggle to downshift. What am i doing wrong? I am fairly new to driving cars with floor gears. Learnt driving on an old 1983 fiat 1100 with colum shift which was 20 years ago.
@@worlddriving yes fully pressed. I never change gears on half clutch. I've asked all my friends who've driven my car but they didn't experience this problem. It's just me and I am unable to understand where I'm going wrong .
Looking at the interior, I am guessing that you have the current Ford Fiesta. I do that in my car, push to left coming down from third to second and also a push lightly to the right going from fourth to fifth, because I used have trouble changing from fourth to fifth.
@@worlddriving it is one of the best cars to learn to drive in, in my opinion. Yeah, I subscribed to your channel over 6 years ago, when I was learning to drive and stayed around because of the good advice and content.
As long as you've slowed down to a speed that's right for 1st then you can (it's normally a walking speed). If you need to stop quickly then your priority should be to stop then gear.

Are you driving too fast for 1st?
